The Islamic State group murdered a member of the al-Hujeiri family in the border town of Arsal and dumped the body on the side of the road in the al-Jouban neighborhood Lebanese media reported on Sunday.
National News Agency identified the victim as Ali Abdullah Fayad al-Hujeiri and said multiple gunshots were found on his body.
His body was taken to a nearby hospital in Hermel.
The reason for his murder has not been disclosed.
In August 2014, gunmen from the Islamic State and al-Qaida-affiliated al-Nusra Front overran Arsal, near border with Syria , clashed with the army and left scores dead.
The gunmen withdrew from the town shortly after the clashes, but abducted with them dozens of servicemen.
Four of them have been executed, while a number of others were released, including all 16 who were being held by al-Nusra Front.
Nine hostages are still being held by IS.
