Coca-Cola and Wrigley gum won’t see a newly-opened Iranian market. On Thursday, the Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh directed a blockade of American consumer goods, Press TV reports.

The minister said the decision is based on guidance from Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a letter to President Hassan Rouhani.

According to Khamenei, the nuclear accord with world powers reached in July, should help the Iranian economy become more independent, which should have happened years ago. This includes boosting national production and checking imports of US-made goods. Rouhani said he would comply with the guidance.

The Iranian media has reported Khamenei met with students, where he said the United States still remains the main enemy of Iran.

In the USA Coke is made with corn syrup sweetner. In Mexico, they sweeten Coke with cane sugar. Which would you prefer?

Beet Sugar would probably give it a more ‘red-sails-in-the-sunset’ appearance … might be attractive in a fluted glass …

Sadly, actually, sugar beets are white.

  3. A confidential IAEA report, which became known agency Reuters, said
that over the past three months, Iran has increased its stocks of
enriched uranium, even though the agreement with the “six” of
international mediators suggest a radical reducing them.

According to data cited Reuters, uranium reserves have been increased by 460.2 kg and up to date 8.305 kg. However, in the transaction, stocks of enriched uranium to be reduced to 300 kg.

    However,
most of the report is devoted to the implementation of the IAEA, Iran
assumed a commitment to dismantle the uranium enrichment centrifuges. The document states that Iran removed 4.5 thousand centrifuges at the facility at Natanz and Fordow. Iran
still needs to dismantle about 10 thousand centrifuges to reach the
limit laid in 6000 units, of which 5,000 are working centrifuges (GT) http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/11/18/us-iran-nuclear-iaea-idUSKCN0T72B720151118#lSOwh3cRplFvoILw.97
