The international negotiators who agreed the Iranian nuclear deal took their talks right down to the wire.

Then – time after time – they moved the wire and kept right on talking.

But in large parts of the Middle East, where the prospect of a stronger Iran is viewed with dread, there was never any real sense of suspense.

Israel, Saudi Arabia and the other states who feel threatened by the terms of the new deal have been resigned for months to the idea that the US-led world powers were determined to have an agreement and were prepared to offer major concessions to get one.

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who sees Iran as a mortal enemy, has already said that the agreement shows the dangers of being ready to do a deal at any price, and the Sunni Arab states of the Gulf, who see Iran as a dangerous and aggressive neighbour, will also feel that a much, much harder bargain could have been struck.

An Israeli minister, Danny Danon, put it in lurid terms.

“This agreement is not just bad for Israel, it’s dangerous for the entire free world. Giving the world’s largest supporter of terrorism a free pass in developing nuclear weapons is like providing a pyromaniac with matches,” he said.

‘Funds for guns’

The Vienna negotiators have had to keep in mind a complex cocktail of issues – not just Iran’s atomic energy programme and the suspicion that it is planning to develop nuclear weapons.

There are related questions, too, which worry Iran’s rivals in the Middle East almost as much.

The easing of restrictions on financial transactions which are part of the international embargo will give Iran extra economic muscle.

That will mean more funds – and more guns – for the proxy armies it funds around the Middle East, like the Shiite militias of Iraq, and Hezbollah, the Lebanese military force which is helping to prop up Iran’s ally Bashar al-Assad in Syria.

That is likely to reinforce Iran’s view of itself as the champion and defender of Shiite communities wherever they are found and to push the Sunni kingdoms of the Gulf – led by the Saudis – into responding in kind.

The conflicts raging around the Middle East in places like Iraq and Syria can be viewed as part of a growing confrontation between followers of the two main traditions in the Islamic world – Sunni and Shiite.

Giving Iran access to more money and more weapons may well serve to intensify that confrontation.

‘Outmanoeuvred’

Sceptics around the Middle East fear that the US-led negotiators in Vienna were no match for the negotiating skills of the Iranians.

The result, they say, is an Iran which has engineered a kind of rehabilitation into the international community without being asked to compromise on its self-image as a revisionist power in the Middle East, an exporter of revolution.

There is a sense in the Middle East that the international negotiators were weak in part because they were divided.

So the United States might be aware of the fears of its ally Israel that Iran will use its extra financial resources to buy more sophisticated weapons for Hezbollah to aim at Israeli cities.

But China and Russia are keen to start exporting weapons to Iran again – seeing it as a valuable customer.

The Iranians have been able to exploit those differences on the opposite side of the table.

And there have been fears in the Middle East about the attitude to the talks of Barack Obama.

Is this an American President in search of his own “Nixon-in-China” moment – the signature foreign policy achievement which will define a historic legacy?

Rehabilitating Iran would fit the bill nicely – as long as it can be done safely, of course.

A senior diplomat in the Gulf put it to me in these words: “Let’s just agree that the search for a legacy doesn’t make us stronger.”

Like-for-like

Israel has been more strident on the matter because it sees Iran as an existential threat – and because Iran has threatened to wipe it off the map.

It has unhelpfully unearthed a few video memories from the mid-1990s when US-led negotiators appeared confident they had managed to defuse the nuclear ambitions of another international pariah state, North Korea.

That is a reminder that while the diplomats negotiating on behalf of the global powers may sincerely believe they have made the world a safer place, they may also be wrong about Iran, as the Clinton administration was about the North Koreans.

Iran’s enemies remain of the view that the Iranians are hell-bent on acquiring nuclear weapons at some point and have merely agreed to a delay in return for a variety of short-term concessions.

There is a danger now that Saudi Arabia will feel that a nuclear-capable Shiite state must be matched by a nuclear capability in the hands of the Sunni states too.

That brings the nightmare of a nuclear arms race in the Middle East a step closer.

And it leaves open the question of how Israel will respond. It already has a nuclear capability of its own, although its policy is never to acknowledge or discuss it.

Military option?

The Israelis have plenty of allies on Capitol Hill and they may now try to rally Congressional sceptics to undermine White House attempts to sell the deal in Washington.

That strategy does risk worsening the already sour relationship between Mr Obama and Mr Netanyahu, but the Israeli prime minister may calculate that that is a price worth paying.

And ultimately, of course, a deal which Israel considers to consolidate Iran’s status as a threshold nuclear power puts the issue of unilateral Israeli military action back on the table.

Would Israel consider air strikes to degrade Iran’s nuclear infrastructure?

Israel could argue that its persistent threat to launch such an attack helped to create the pressure that led to the Vienna talks. The issue has been on the back burner in recent years as sanctions have been given time to work and the Vienna negotiations gathered momentum.

But one source familiar with Israeli intelligence thinking told us that Israel was still committed to the Begin Doctrine – the idea that a state pledged to the destruction of Israel could not be allowed to acquire the means of destruction.

The Obama administration will find the nuclear deal a tough sell to its allies in the Middle East like Saudi Arabia and Israel – even if it sugars the pill with upgraded weapons shipments.

But as the battle to get the deal past Congress begins, plenty of thought is being given across the Middle East to the difficulties and dangers that lie ahead.

One thing OBVIOUSLY for sure … It means a lot more of these ‘Conjecture Articles’ will be written for the next year … or years … since some stuff in ‘the deal’ doesn’t even happen until late 2016, and it also has to be ‘passed’ yet by a ‘congress’ AND an El Supremo, and verifications also need to be made.

Nasara and Shia are very similar as a way of thinking. For instance, Christians take their priests as gods other than Allah. Shia also take their Imams as gods other than Allah.
Christians take Jesus as a son of Allah then they describe his death on the cross as he is a week man who can’t do anything to support his faith. They made him a target to every kind of accusations, mocks, and humiliations. Shia on the other side give Ali a higher position than the prophet Muhammad (p) and claim that Islam wouldn’t spread and unbelieving wouldn’t be defeated without Ali. However, the claim that he too weak to defense Islam after the death of the prophet Muhammad (p) and he had to accept all kinds of accusations and humiliations against himself and against Ahlu-Bayt with no attempt to stop that.
          Shia vs. Ahlu-Bayt
All members of Ahl-ul-Bayt (the family of the Holy Prophet) belong to Sunni Muslims. Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq for instance, is the teacher of Imam Malik and Imam Abu-Hanifa. None of Ahlu-Bayt subscribed to the false beliefs of these Rafida (Shia). There are numerous solid arguments based on logic and Shari’ah refuting their religion and false beliefs. These arguments are so many that it would be difficult to recount them all. Therefore they should repent from their false and unfounded beliefs and enter into the fold of Islam.
“They are the enemies, so beware of them. May Allah curse them! How are they denying (or deviating from) the Right Path.” (al-Munaafiqoon, verse 4)

These Rafida (Shia) actually descend from Abu Lu’luah Majoosi (a Persian fire worshipper) and Abdullaah ibn Saba’ (a Jew). However they are more dangerous from the Christians themselves. Christians fight Islam face to face (if they did) while Rafida stab Islam from its back.

            Dark Shia Fundamental Beliefs

Every single one of the following 110 points can be found in Shia books.

            GENERAL POINTS:
            1. The Shia Kalimah is different from the Muslim Kalimah Shahadah. The Shia Kalimah is: La Ila Haa Illallahu Muhammdur Rasoolullahi Aliyun Waliyullahi Wasiyyu Rasulillahi Wa Khalifatuhu Bila Faslin
            2. In the Shia Adhan the words ‘Ashadu Anna Aliyan Waliyullah’ and ‘Hujjatulllah’ are added and also the words ‘Hayya ‘Ala Khayril ‘Amal’ are added
            3. The five pillars of Shiasm are: Wilayat/Imamat, Salat, Fasting, Zakat, and Hajj
            4. One should recite after every Salah: O Allah! Send down your curses upon Abu Bakr, Umar, Othman, Muawiyah, Aishah, Hafsah, Hind, and Ummul Hakam
            5. Lying is extremely meritorious and rewarding
            6. It is extremely important to conceal one’s faith
            7. Deceit and deception is a noble act
            8. Taqiyyah is permissible which is to pretend by doing or saying exactly the opposite of what a person believes or feels. Obfuscation of Shia beliefs is allowed
            9. Nine-tenth of the whole religion lies in Taqiyyah
            10. Looking at private parts of non-Muslims is permissible and it is just like looking at the private parts of an animal
            11. Only the color of the skin has to be covered (if the skin is painted, then a person can walk around without clothes). Imam Baqir appeared without any lower garment and he said it was permissible because he had put lime on his private parts.
            12. Anal sex is permitted
            13. Marriage can be conducted without any witnesses
            14. A person will enter Paradise if they wash and consume a morsel of food which has fallen in excrement
            15. Mutah i.e. temporary marriage/renting out the female body for whatever time period is allowed
            16. The sordid act of Mutah is more rewarding than Salat and Fasting
            17. If Mutah is done once, a person attains the status of Husain, if done twice, the status of Hasan, if done three times, the status of Ali, if done four times, the status of Prophet Muhammed
            18. Whoever does Mutah three times, he will be completely emancipated from the fire of hell
            19. A person is allowed to let someone else benefit from his wife’s private parts
            20. Sunnis are worse than dogs
            21. Sunnis are worse than illegitimate children
            22. Sunnis are not allowed to name their children in Iran with names like Abu Bakr, Umar, Aishah etc.
            23. According to Shia narrations, Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam secretly dictated a manuscript (sahifah) to Ali Radiallahu Anhu that was (upon completion) “seventy feet long”. It contains all the laws of halaal, haraam and everything else a person needs to the extent that it even contains the penalty of a scratch. It is also called the Saheefah of Ali.
            24. Jafr is a container made from skin that contains the knowledge of all the Nabis, Wasiys, and Ulema that passed among the Bani Israeel
            25. In a lengthy discussion between Imam Ja’far Saadiq and Abu Basheer, the imam describes the mushaf of Fatimah saying: “A mushaf in which is three times more than your Quran. By Allah, not a single word of it is in your Quran”.
            26. The angels made an error and were in a misunderstanding when Husain (R.A.) was martyred
            27. Feet are not washed in Wudhu. Only Masah and wiping of the feet should be done.
            28. Sajdah Tilawat and funeral prayers are permitted without Wudhu and Ghusl
            29. It is permissible to perform prayers in the direction of the graves of the Shia Imams
            30. Shias break their fast about ten to fifteen minutes after sunset
            31. Tarawih prayers in Ramadhan are not performed by Shias
            32. Mutah Dawriyyah is permissible where ten or twenty men can have sexual relations with one woman in one night
            33. The land of Karbala is better than the Kabah
            34. To ask help from Ali by saying, “Ya Ali Madad”, is not shirk
            ALLAH:
            35. The doctrine and quality of Badaa is ascribed to Allah which means that Allah makes mistakes and Allah forgets
            36. In a state of anger, God can not differentiate between friends and enemies
            37. Allah was scared of the companions of Prophet Muhammed Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam
            38. Allah must judge and decide according to what the human intellect deems beneficial for humans
            39. Allah did not create everything
            QURAN:
            40. Quran is incomplete and it has been tampered with interpolated and altered
            41. The Shia Quran is with the final Imam who has been hiding from the age of five in a cave in Iraq since the last 1200 years
            42. Current Quran completely different from Shia Quran
            43. The current Quran right now has more than 6000 verses but the Shia Quran has more than 17000
            PROPHETS/SAHABAH:
            44. Prophet Adam (A.S.) is worse than Satan
            45. Accuse Adam (A.S.) of rebellion, jealousy, and malice
            46. Prophets make mistakes which eventually deprives them of Prophethood like Prophet Yusuf (A.S.)
            47. Ismaili Shias believe in the continuation of Prophethood
            48. Prophet Muhammed Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam was scared of the creation of Allah and did not propagate correctly
            49. Prophet Muhammed Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam rejected a gift of Allah
            50. Prophet Muhammed Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam asked for compensation for teaching
            51. Ali (R.A.) had the choice and the option of divorcing the wives of Prophet Muhammed (SAW)
            52. The wives of the Prophet are not considered to be from the family of the Prophet
            53. All the Sahabahs except a few turned apostates and turned away from Islam after the demise of Prophet Muhammed Sallallahu Alaihe Wasaalm
            54. One should dissociate with the 4 idols: Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthmaan, Muawiyya and 4 women Ayesha, Hafsa, Hind, and Ummul Hakam.
            55. One should curse the above after each prayer
            56. Aishah (R.A.) and Hafsah (R.A.) poisoned Prophet Muhammed Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam
            57. Aishah (R.A.) was a traitor and a hypocrite and she is remembered with the vilest epithets
            58. Aishah (R.A.) committed adultery
            59. Less than ten Sahabah remained on Islam after the Prophet’s death
IMAMAT: The concept of Imams is an integral belief of Shiaism. This concept is completely different from the four Imams of Fiqh. The four Imams of Fiqh of Islam are cursed by Shia authors and the four illustrious Imams of Fiqh are specifically called ‘dogs’.
            60. Shias believe in the concept of 12 Imams
            61. The Imams are appointed (mansoos alaih) by Allah just as the Prophets
            62. The 12 Imams are on the same level and are on par with Prophet Muhammed Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam
            63. The first Imam is Ali (R.A.) and the last Imam is hiding since the age of five in a cave in Iraq
            64. Shia Imams are born from the thighs of their mothers because the private parts are unclean
            65. Shia Imams are Hazir Nazir i.e. they are present every where and they are omnipresent
            66. The Imams are ma’soom (i.e. infallible, sinless) like the Prophets
            67. It is compulsory to bring Imaan on the Imams. To reject any Imam is disbelief just as it is disbelief to reject a Prophet
            68. The unconditional obedience of the Imam is compulsory
            69. The Imams receive wahi and revelation
            70. Just as the Ambiyaa and the Prophets are bestowed with certain mu’jizaat and miracles that are proof of their Prophethood, similarly the Imams have been bestowed with certain mu’jizaat that are proof of their Imaamat
            71. The Imams have the right to abrogate any command of the Shariah. It is permissible for them to declare a haraam thing halaal and vice versa
            72. Hazrat Ali Radiallahu Anhu and the rest of the Imams have a greater status than the Prophets
            73. The Imams have more knowledge than the Prophets A.S.
            74. The entire creation including the Prophets were created for the sake of the Imams
            75. A covenant was taken from the Prophets regarding the imaamat of the Imams (that they accepted their imaamat)
            76. The Prophets received prophethood because they had accepted the imaamat of the Imams
            77. Allah Ta’ala had compelled the entire creation including the Prophets to accept, whether willingly or unwillingly, the wilaayat of the Imams
            78. The Ambiyaa gain ‘noor’ and light from the ‘noor’ of the Imams
            79. On the day of Qiyaamah, Ali Radiallahu Anhu will be ahead (in front) of all the Ambiyaa
            80. On the day of Qiyaamah, Ali Radiallahu Anhu’s chair will be on the right of Allah Ta’ala’s throne (arsh) while the chairs of the Ambiyaa will be on the left of the throne
            81. The supplications of the Ambiyaa are accepted through the mediation (tufail) of the Imams
            82. The reason for Aadam Alaihi Salaam not being included among the Ulool Azam Ambiyaa is that he was jealous of the status of the Imams
            83. Ibrahim Alaihi Salaam was first given nubuwwat, thereafter khullat (i.e. he was made the khaleel and bosom friend of Allah) and only then was he given imaamat
            84. Ayub Alaihi Salaam was afflicted with a severe illness because he doubted the imaamat of Ali Radiallahu Anhu
            85. If Moosa Alaihi Salaam was alive it would be compulsory for him to obey the imams
            86. Yunus Alaihi Salaam was swallowed by the fish because he rejected the wilaayat of Ali Radiallahu Anhu
            87. The entire earth belongs to the imam
            88. Shias attribute the following statement to Ali Radiallahu Anhu: “I grant life and death. I am all living and I never die.”
            89. Shias believe that their Imams know whatever is in the hearts of people and they are omniscient
            90. Shias maintain that Rasullullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam told Ali Radiallahu Anhu:
“O Ali! You are the dayyaan (one who will give reward) of this ummah and you are responsible for their account. You will be the ‘Rukn e A’azam’ of Allah on the day of Qiyaamah. Listen! Certainly the people are going to return to you and you will be responsible for taking their reckoning. The bridge (siraat) will be yours, the scale will be yours and the place of standing (mauqaf) will be yours!”
            91. Many Shia narrations mention Ali Radiallahu Anhu’s title as “Distributor of Jannat and Jahannam”.
Allamah Baaqir Majlisi has established a separate chapter in his book Bihaar Ul Anwaar entitled: “Certainly he (Ali) is the distributor of Jannat and Jahannam.”
            92. Allamah Baaqir Majlisi the famous Shia scholar writes in his book Hayaatul Quloob : “The status of Imaamat is higher than nubuwwat”.
            93. The imams have knowledge of everything that occurred in the past and everything that will occur in the future and that nothing in the earth and skies is concealed and hidden from them
            94. The imams know when they will die
            95. The imams know the reality of the faith and hypocrisy of every person on earth. They have in their possession a list of all those who will enter Jannat and all those who will enter Jahannam.
            96. The imams know all the different languages of the world and converse in them also
            97. The imams know the languages of the birds and animals
            98. According to Shia narrations, the souls of the imams go on mi’raj on the eve of every Jumu’ah. During this mi’raj they reach the throne of Allah where vast knowledge is given to them.
            99. According to Shia belief, a special book is revealed to the imams every Laylatul Qadr. It is brought to them by the angels and Ar Rooh.
            100. As soon as the Imams are born, they read all the divine books
            101. The Imams are capable of performing all the miracles of the Prophets
            102. Shias do not criticize the quarrels which took place between the followers of their Imams
            103. The companions of the Shia Imams were bereft of truthfulness, trustworthiness, and allegiance
            104. The companions of the Shia Imams did not correctly acquire the knowledge of the Usool (fundamentals) and the Furoo’ (branches) of religion
            105. The final Imam has been in hiding since the last 1200 years in a cave in Iraq. When he will appear, the Prophet and Ali (R.A.) will pledge allegiance to him (Bay’ah)
            106. The final Imam will exhume the bodies of Abu Bakr and Umar and he will hang up their naked bodies and flog them and he will cause them to die 1000 times in a day and night
            107. Aishah will be brought back to life and she will be flogged as well by the final Imam
            108. The final Imam will slaughter all the Sunnis and he will start killing their scholars first
            109. If one does not accept the Shia concept of Imaams then the person is a Kaafir and a non-Muslim
            110. The final imam will appear when there will be 313 sincere Shias

Shia champion and assist Kafirs against Muslims:

When the Mongols invaded the Islamic world, Shia provided a strong support to them against Muslims. Shia helped the Christian crusaders against Muslims. When Jews established a state in north of Iraq, Shia were the greater supporters to them. Iran today supports Bashar al-Wahash.

On the other hand, the Sunni Muslims (Ahl-us-Sunnah) are those who uphold the Qur’aan and the Hadeeth (Sunnah). It is through them that Allah has protected Islam.

          1. Racist and Bigoted Shias

“The following are some Shia Hadith that blatantly teach racism, all recorded in Al-Kafi, the most reliable of the four Shia books of Hadith. They are also available on Al-Shia.com, a very authoratative website of the Shia.

These Hadith (shown below) are Sahih according to the Shia, as they are narrated by Ali bin Ibrahim who is considered to be of the utmost reliability according to the Shia. He was one of the most prominent sources in Al-Kafi, the most reliable of the Shia books of Hadith.

We see that the Shia religion is very much against black people, and these Hadith use the term “Zunj” which is a common Arabic word used to refer to all black people.
            1. (Narrated) Ali bin Ibrahim, from Haroon bin Muslim, from Mas’adah bin Ziyad, from Abu Abdullah [as] said: Amirul-Mu’mineen Ali [as] said:
“Beware of marrying the Negroes (Zunj) for they are an ugly creation.” (al-Kafi, fil Furoo’: Book of Nikah, Chapter: Whom Are Disliked for Marriage, Narration 1)
            2. (Narrated) Ali bin Ibrahim, from Ismael bin Muhammad al-Makki, from Ali bin al-Husain, from ‘Amr bin Othman, from al-Husain bin Khalid, from whom he entioned from Abu Ar-Rabi’ al-Shami said: Imam Abu Abdullah [as] said:
“Do not [even] buy anyone who is a Negro…never marry anyone of the Kurdish (people) for they are part of the Jinn (demons)…” (al-Kafi, fil Furoo’: Book of Nikah, Chapter: Whom Are Disliked for Marriage, Narration 2)
            3. (Narrated) Several of our fellows from Sahl bin Ziyad, from Musa bin Ja’far, from ‘Amr bin Sa’eed, from Muhammad bin Abdillah al-Hashimi, from Ahmad bin Yousuf, from Ali bin Dawood al-Haddaad said: Imam Abu Abdullah [as] said:
“Marry not from the Negroes (Zanj) nor the Khazar, for they have near relatives whom are unfaithful.” (al-Kafi, fil Furoo’: Book of Nikah, Chapter: Whom Are Disliked for Marriage, Narration 3)
            He further said:
“India, Sindh and Qindh–not a single one of them [from there] is intelligent.” (al-Kafi, fil Furoo’: Book of Nikah, Chapter: Whom Are Disliked for Marriage, Narration 3)
India of course refers to India, Sindh to Pakistan, and Qindh refers to Afghanistan. Khazar refers to the northern areas near the Black Sea. And the Negroes are of course from the West of Persia in Africa.

If we notice, Shi’ism is racist towards everyone other than the Persians. People of every region surrounding Persia are considered inferior, including Africans, Kurds, Afghanis, Pakistanis, and Indians.
The racism is also levied against Arabs and Arab culture. It is written in the Shia book “Tareekh-al-Islam” that when Allah becomes happy, then He talks in Persian, and He only speaks Arabic when He becomes annoyed. (Tareekh-al-Islam, p.163)

            Ahlus Sunnah Rejects Racism
Whereas the Shia Hadith advocate racism, the Hadith of the mainstream Muslims completely rejects racism. Here are some Hadith considered authentic by the Ahlus Sunnah.

            The Prophet said:
“An arab has no superiority over a non-Arab, nor has a non-Arab any superiority over an Arab, nor has a black man any superiority over a white man or a white man over a black man except by the criterion of taqwa (righteous practice). All of you are from Adam, and Adam is from dust.” (As-Sunan)

            The Prophet also said:
“Allah does not look at your shapes or your colors but He looks at your hearts (intentions) and your deeds. Creatures are the dependants of Allah and the closest among them to Allah are indeed the most useful to His dependants.”
Assabiyyah (nationalism/tribalism/bigotry) is strictly Haram (forbidden) based on the Hadith of the Ahlus Sunnah.

            The Prophet said:
“He is not one us who calls for Assabiyyah or who fights for Assabiyyah or who dies for Assabiyyah.” (Abu Dawood)
            The Prophet said about Assabiyyah:
“Leave it. It is rotten.” (Sahih Bukhari & Muslim)

Shia curses Ali (May Allah be pleased with him)
Their insults and curses are not limited just to the Rightly Guided Khalifas but are also directed towards Ali. Because Ali himself, in Masjid Rabia, gave the oath of allegiance (bai’ah) to Abu Bakr and also gave his daughter, Umm Kulthum in marriage to Umar. He also willingly gave the oath of allegiance (bai’ah) to Uthmaan. Not only this, but he was actually the right hand man and a well wisher of the Rightly Guided Khalifas. So could Ali chosen a kafir as a son-in-law for himself? And could Ali have given the oath of allegiance (bai’ah), as he did, to a kafir? Subhân Allah (Glory to God)! This indeed is a great accusation!

Shia curses Hasan son of Ali (May Allah be pleased with them)
Also, by cursing Mu’aawiya (May Allah be pleased with him), these Rafida (Shia) are actually cursing Hasan (May Allah be pleased with him). Because Hasan withdrew from, and gave up the Khilaafah to Mu’aawiya purely for the pleasure of Allah. The Messenger (pbuh) foretold of this in the hadith. So can the grandson of The Messenger (pbuh) actually have withdrawn from and left the Khilaafah in the hands of a Kafir for him to rule over the people? Subhân Allah! This indeed is a great accusation and insult!
If the Rafida say that Ali and Hasan were forced into doing this, then this is proof enough that these Rafida have no sense whatsoever. The accusations levelled against these two honored companions of the Prophet (pbuh) are the worst insults ever imaginable and are beyond belief. They should remember that Ali faced the unbelievers in Mecca pace to face although Muslims were less than 40 man. So, why does he hide his Islam when Muslims became the majority and why he does not face the hypocrites?

The original Shia where people that lived in southern Iraq they are the ones who betrayed ALI (ra) and Hassan and Hussein so they weren’t a sect but a group of people called Shia. These people who call them selves Shia have no idea what is going on, they are brainwashed into teachings that have done nothing but mislead them. They make false claims about the SAHABA of RASUL (pbuh). The so called shia scholars are no different then the Jewish or christian scholars who have done nothing but mislead their people towards ignorance and blind acceptance of false beliefs.

The shias are ignorant of their own religion, they dont know that shiaism promotes tahreef. However, the shia interpretation of the quran is as bad as tahreef, as they they take one verse and claim it is about ahlulbayt or about shia etc. So the shia understanding of the quran is a diffirent version of tahreef. Its a shame how some “muslims” in lebanon and iraq marry their daughters to shiites thinking its halal. Every muslim, especially in places where there are many shia, should be taught about the shia belief, otherwise they will keep thinking we are the same when in reality shiaism is different from Islam. Shiism is shirk and kufur.

Shia scholars believed in tahreef of Quran. Many wrote against the authenticity of holy Quran.

The Shia claim to be the Madhab of Ahlel Bayt, and the center of their religious sect is their belief in the divine appointment of the twelve Imams from this Ahlel Bayt. And yet, the Shia cannot provide a single verse in the Quran which mentions any twelve Imams of Ahlel Bayt. In fact, the term “Ahlel Bayt” is only used twice in the Quran and the irony is that the word is used both times to refer to a man’s wives! The Quran categorically addresses the Prophet’s wives as Ahlel Bayt; this is the same group that the Shia despise and curse! How then can the Shia claim to be the lovers of Ahlel Bayt when in fact they accuse the Prophet’s wife of murder, Fisq, and heresy? In fact, it is the Ahlus Sunnah which categorically loves the Ahlel Bayt, not the Shia. It is the Sunnis who are the true lovers of Ahlel Bayt, because we love the Prophet’s wives.

The most oft-repeated Quranic verse in Shia literature is 33:33, which the Shia quote again and again. The importance of this verse to the Shia faith cannot be overstated; a simple gander of Shia texts confirms that this verse is not only repeated over and over, but it is used as a basis and justification of the Shia sect. What is interesting, however, is that most Shia laypersons have only heard half of this verse; they commonly think of the verse as simply:

“Allah only wishes to remove all abomination from you, you Ahlel Bayt (People of the House), and to make you pure and spotless.”

But few of them know that this is simply a half-quote; indeed, the entire passage reads:

“O wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other of the women; If you will be on your guard, then be not soft in your speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease yearn; and speak a good word. And stay quietly in your houses, and make not a dazzling display, like that of the former Times of Ignorance; and establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity; and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah only wishes to remove all abomination from you, you Ahlel Bayt (People of the House), and to make you pure and spotless. And recite what is rehearsed to you in your homes, of the Signs of Allah and His Wisdom: for Allah understands the finest mysteries and is well-acquainted (with them).”

          (Quran, 33:32-34)

In fact, Allah addresses the Prophet’s wives as Ahlel Bayt. This would of course include Aisha, daughter of Abu Bakr, and Hafsa, daughter of Umar. And yet we find that the Shia have an intense hatred for Aisha and Hafsa, and it is on this basis that we Sunnis say that the Shia are not the lovers of Ahlel Bayt as they claim. In fact, the Shia are the most ardent opponents and enemies of Ahlel Bayt. Nobody can deny that if Allah Almighty refers to the Prophet’s wives as Ahlel Bayt, then nobody–no Ayatollah and no propagandist–could claim otherwise. We would indeed take the Word of Allah above that of the Shia.

          Tahreef

It was on this basis that the classical scholars of the Shia claimed that there was Tahreef (tampering) of the Quran. They claimed that the “evil” Sahabah changed the Quran, and that the Mushaf we have today is not the real Quran (at least not in its unaltered form). The contemporary Shia scholars, however, completely deny that they believe in Tahreef or that this belief was ever a part of their sect. Nonetheless, despite this denial, many of the Shia Ulema hold onto the belief known as Tahreef bit Tarteeb (tampering in the order of the verses of the Quran such that the meaning of it is changed). Many Shia scholars claim that verse 33:33 was altered in such a manner.

The Tafseer e Farman Ali is relied upon heavily by the Shia. It is a translation of the Quran along with commentary by Farman Ali. The book is used by Shias and hence there should be no question about its authenticity in the eyes of the Shia. In the commentary of verse 33:33, this Shia Tafseer reads:

Translation: “If we take out this verse (of purification) from the middle, and then we read the verse (addressed to the wives) from the beginning to the end, we then find no fault in it and it looks better in this form. From this, it is clear that this verse (of purification) does not belong to this place and it was added deliberately for some special purpose.”

(source: Tafseer e Farman Ali, Commentary on Verse 33:33)

The Shia scholar, Sayyid Mujtaba Musavi Lari, in the Shia book “Imamate and Leadership” quotes Allamah Sharaf al-Din (Kalimat al-Ghurra’, p.213) as follows:

“Although we are convinced that no distortion has taken place in the verses of the Noble Qur’an and that our heavenly Book has not been tampered with in any way, it is by no means clear that the arrangement and recension of the verses is precisely that in which they were revealed. For it is quite possible that the ‘purification verse’ concerning the People of the House was revealed separately and then, when the verses of the Qur’an were being assembled, was placed in the middle of the verses relating to the wives of the Prophet, either in error or deliberately.”

          (Al-Islam.org, Lesson 19, http://www.al-islam.org/leadership/)

It should be understood that the Allamah’s disclaimer that the Shia do not believe in Tahreef is as disingenuous as those who say “I don’t mean to be racist, but…” Whatever follows such a statement is always racist! Allamah Sharaf al-Din basically says: we don’t believe in Tahreef but there may have been Tahreef. Utterly absurd! The Shia wish to pay lip-service to the claim that they don’t believe in tampering of the Quran, and yet they further various hypothesis that allude to textual tampering of a dramatic proportion.

The “Khateem al-Muhhaditheen” al-Majlissi says a similar thing in “Bihar al-Anwar”:

فلعل آية التطهير أيضا وضعوها في موضع زعموا أنها تناسبه ، أو أدخلوها في سياق مخاطبة الزوجات لبعض مصالحهم الدنيوية

ولو سلم عدم التغيير في الترتيب فنقول : سيأتي أخبار مستفيضة بأنه سقط من القرآن آيات كثيره ، فلعله سقط مما قبل الآية وما بعدها آيات لو ثبتت لم يفت الربط الظاهري بينها

Translation: “It is possible that the purification verse was added (by the Companions) at this part (of the verse) claiming that it was referring to the wives, or they added in the verses addressing the prophet’s wives, to suit their religious needs…Even if we accept that there was no tampering (by the Companions) in the order (of the verses), we say there are many narrations which discuss the removal/canceling of Quranic verses. [Maybe there were verses before and after the verse of purification and they were removed]; if these verses were not removed before and after the verse (of purification), we would see the apparent link between them.”

          (source: Bihar al-Anwar, pp.234-235,
          http://www.yazahra.net/ara/html/4/behar43/index.html)

The great Shia Mufassir, Tabatabai, writes:

فالآية لم تكن بحسب النزول جزء اً من آيات نساء النبي ولا متَّصلة بها و إنما وضعت بينها إمّا بأمرٍ من النبي أو عند التأليف بعد الرحلة

Translation: “The verse (of purification), in accordance to the (order of) revelation, was initially not a part of the verse about the Prophet’s wives and had no link to these verses, but rather it was later added between these verses either by the Prophet, or after his death when the Quran was compiled.”

          (source: al-Mizan, Vol.16, p.321,

          Conclusion

Is it not interesting that the most famous verse to the Shia causes him so much trouble? Various Shia scholars have become utterly confused when they read this verse in its entirety and they have to invent various plausible explanations, anything to “explain away” a gaping hole in their faith, namely that Allah Himself addressed the Prophet’s wives as “Ahlel Bayt”, that same group that the Shia writers malign with the most malicious of words!

The utter confusion of the Shia scholars is evidenced by the colorful explanations they provide. They seek to somehow explain how the verse about purifying Ahlel Bayt is addressed to the Prophet’s wives. We have said this before and we will say it again and again: Shi’ism cannot be found anywhere in the Quran, but rather they have to take certain verses, splice them in half, distort them, add their own commentary, and mix in their own fabricated Hadith. If we simply pick up any Shia text, we will find the repeated reference to the Ahlel Bayt, but if we open the Quran, we find no such vibe, and even if we look up the word “Ahlel Bayt” in the Quran, we find that it refers to the Prophet’s wives!

The methodology of the mainstream Muslim is that he first reads the Quran and then makes up his mind after this based on what the Quran says. Meanwhile, the methodology of the Ahlul Bidah wal Dalalah (The People of Innovation and of Hell-Fire, i.e. the Shia) is that they first make up their minds with their own ideas and the ideas of their priests, and then they go into the Quran looking to generate “evidences” and “proof” to back up these preconceived beliefs, manipulating and twisting verses of the Quran to make them mean really whatever they want them to mean.

God almighty you’re an idiot. Why do you and people like you feel it’s your duty to discredit a religion? Do you like it when Christians talk about Prophet Muhammed being a pedophile? Calling him a false prophet and saying it’s a satanic religion, you think they have right to do that? What is it with you religious fanatics that can’t just let people live? Not everyone is Muslim and not everyone is Sunni. Get a clue already!

Shias the worst of Bigots and Hypocrites among zillion other Shit-ite things?

Shiaism is a mixture of Judaism, Christianity, Hinduism, and Persian Zoroastrianism.

The reason why there is a lot of Judaism in Shiaism is because

-the founder of Shiaism was a Jew called Abdullah ibn Saba.

            -he was from Yemen

            Shia’s View of the Sunnis

Shia’s 6th Imam, Abu Abdallah has been quoted by Shia narrators as saying:”The Nasibi (Shia use this term to refer to a Sunni) is worse than the Jew. It was said: And how is that so, O son of the Messenger of Allah? He said: The Jew denied the status of Prophethood (of Prophet Mohammad), while the Nasibi denied the status of Al-Imamah.” (Al-Naafi’Yawmal-Hashr: Jamaalud-Din al-Suyuri, p.42)

Shia Scholar Mohammed bin Al-Hassan Toosi reports on the authority of Ishhaq bin Ammar, that Abu Abdullah said “The wealth, the property and everything which belongs to a Sunni is actually yours (is legal for you)”(Tahzib-ul Ahkam, Vol. 2 Kitabul Makasib, p. 116, published in Iran) above in this Shi’ites book it states that all Shi’ites can steal from any Sunni Muslim and that there is nothing wrong with that.

Shia Scholar Moallah Khonas reported that Abdullah said “snatch the possessions of a Sunni wherever you find it and hand over my share (ie. One fifth) to me” (Tahzib ul Ahkam).

The Shi’ites narrate regarding Sunni Muslims “Although Allah, the Exalted, has not created a creature worse than a dog, yet a Nasibi (Sunni) is worse than even a dog.” (Haqqul Yakeen (Persian) Vol. 2, p. 516) Here the Shi’ites have said that Sunni Muslims are worse than Dogs!

The Shi’ites say that we will never go to Paradise! “It is contained in several sources of information that they, (Imams of Shias) said: ‘Every if every angel that Allah, the Exalted and Gracious, has created, every prophet that Allah has appointed, every truthful martyr, (collectively) pray to Allah, the Exalted and Gracious, to release a Nasibi (a Sunni) from the Hell, Allah would never release him.”(Haqqul-Yaqeen, (Arabic), Vol. 2, p. 192)

This is what the Shi’ites say what will happen when their so-called Imam Mahdi will return “When Qaem (Imam Mahdi) appears, he will start slaughtering Sunnis and their Sunni Scholars before slaughtering the infidels (kaffar).”(Haqqul Yaqeen Vol 2, p. 527) By the term “Qaem”, the Shi’ites mean Imam Mahdi, their twelfth Imam. So, here the Shi’ites state that we are not Muslims, and that we are worse than the infidels (kuffar)

They claim when Imam Mahdi comes, he’s going to call the adhan in the Hebrew language.

SHIA HUJJAH: Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Saeed al Uqdah attributes to al-Mufadhal ibn Umar saying that Abu Abdullah [as] said: “When the Imam Mahdi makes a call (for prayer), he will supplicate to God using God’s Hebrew name and then his three hundred thirteen friends (followers) will rush to him…” (An Numani, Al-Ghayba , p.326)

They can’t give up their Jewish heritage because their founder was a Jew.

We all know that if the adhan is called in a language other than Arabic, it is batil.

They believe when Imam Mahdi comes, he won’t rule by the shariah of Muhammad (saw)

-but he will rule by the shariah of David (a.s) and Sulaiman (a.s)

SHIA HUJJAH: In a narration attributed to Imam Abu Abdullah [a.s.], he said: “Once al-Qaim (Imam Mahdi) from the household of Muhammad appears, he will rule using the law of David and Solomon, he will not ask for evidences.” (Al-Kulaini, Usul al-Kafi, Vol. 1, p. 397)

The shias can’t escape their Jewish heritage; they’re Jews.

They are trying to deceive unsuspecting Muslims.

They can’t deceive anyone because their kufr is blatant.

They also claim when Imam Mahdi comes,

-he’s going to kill all the sunni sheikhs and all the Arabs.

SHIA HUJJAH: Shia Imam Mahdi will kill all Sunni Scholars. (Al-Majlisi, Haq Al-Yaqeen, p. 527).

SHIA HUJJAH: Al-Majlisi narrated, “Al-Muntazar (the Awaited One, meaning Imam Mahdi) will walk amongst the Arabs and kill them.” (Baqir al-Majlisi, Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 52, p. 318)

            So shiaism is Persian Zoroastrianism.

Allah promised to protect the Qur’an on many occasions

-but they say the present day Qur’an is a corrupted text.

So the shiites are insinuating that Allah broke his promise.

SHIA HUJJAH: The present Quran is in an altered, corrupted and distorted form.. (Fatuhat-e-Shia, p. 129)

They are worse kaafirs than Jews and Christians together.

If you put the kufr of Jews, Christians, Hindus and Sikhs on one side of the scale

-and the kufr of shiites on the other side of the scale,

-the kufr of the shiites will outweigh all the other kufr.

They claim that their imams are infallible, they cannot make mistakes.

SHIA HUJJAH: All the Imams are infallible just like the prophets. The Shia derives their religion from their immaculate (infallible) Imams” (Usool al Kafi, p. 22)

They also claim they have knowledge of the unseen.

SHIA HUJJAH: The Imams have knowledge of the past and future; and nothing is hidden from them. ( Al-Kafi vol.1 p.260 )

They also claim their imams know when they are going to die and they choose when to die.

SHIA HUJJAH: The Imams know when they will die, and they only die by their choice. (Al Kafi vol.1 p.258 )

This is why when you debate with a shia, stick to Qur’an.

Because their aqeedah is kufr, shirk and zandaqa.

They claim the sun, moon and stars are subservient to their imams.

The spiritual status of the imam is the universal divine vice-gerency that is sometimes mentioned by the imams (peace be upon them). It is a vice-gerency pertaining to the whole of creation, by virtue of which all the atoms in the universe humble themselves before the holder of authority (imams). It is one of the essential beliefs of our Shia school that no one can attain the spiritual status of the imams, not even the cherubim or the prophets. Imam Khomeini, Islam and Revolution: Writings and Declarations of Imam Khomeini, (Berkeley: Mizaan Press, 1981)

Even the atoms of the universe are subservient to the Imams.

Do you see how evil they are?

They claim their imams are above all prophets.

“Certainly the Imam has a dignified station, a lofty rank, a creational caliphate, and a sovereignty and mastery over all the atoms of creation. It is definitely a basic belief in our school of thought, that our Imams occupy a station unattainable by either an angel or a major Prophet. [Khomeini: “Al-Hukumah Al-Islamiyyah” Page 52]

Abu Huraira narrated the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: “I am the most noble of Adam’s descendants on the Day of Resurrection. I am the first whose grave shall be opened. I am the first to offer intercession. I am the first whose intercession shall be accepted.” [Sahih Muslim (4/1782) No. 2278]

            The shias reject this hadith.

They say their imams are better than the Prophet.

Khomeini was at the house of his mureed and he saw a beautiful 4 year old girl.

He proposed marriage to the girl and the father accepted.

Khomeini consummated marriage with the girl

-and her father turned a blind eye to her screams.

The father turned a blind eye because the shiites say their imams are god.

SHIA HUJJAH: Imams are God (Jila-ul-Ayoun, Vol. No. 2, Page No. 85)

Khomeni was a paedophile and an atheist.

The ayatollah who was with him dumped shiaism after seeing this.

He wrote a book titled: WHY I LEFT THE SHIA

He exposed them in that and he was killed as a result

An ayatollah did mutah with a girl and got her pregnant.

The girl gave birth to a girl. Later, he married his own daughter and got her pregnant.

All of these came out in the book ‘Why I Left the Shia’.

            shia_http://theunjustmedia.com/Islamic%20Perspectives/March13/%E2%80%9CWhy%20I%20Left%20Shi%27ah%E2%80%9D–Sayyid%20Husain%20Al-Musawi.htm

When Khomeni was alive he passed a fatwa allowing gay marriages.

A lot of people don’t know how evil the shiites are. They are naive and fooled by Shias.

            THEIR CONCEPT OF MUTAH

SHIA HUJJAH: “One who performs Mut’ah (temporary marriage) once will attain the rank of Imam Hussain, one who performs it twice will attain the rank of Imam Hassan, one who performs it thrice will attain the rank of Imam Ali and one who performs it four times will attain my rank”. (Tafseer Mihaj-ul-Siddiqeen, Vol. No. 1, Page No. 356)

The shiites believe if you do mutah once, you accomplish the same status of Hussain.

If you do it 4 times, you accomplish the same status of the Prophet (SAWS).

All you need to do is go to Shia mutah house and do mutah 4 times

-to attain the status of the Prophet

Khomeini passed a fatwa and said you can do mutah with prostitutes and whores.

According to shiite, you can get married for one hour.

SHIA HUJJAH: Khomeini stated in his book “Tahir-ul-Wasila”, Vol. 2, Page No. 292, “Temporary marriage can be for one day, a night, and even just a few hours!. But for Khomeini, that was not enough so he further states in the same book on Page No. 292, “Temporary marriage can be performed with harlots and prostitutes”

THEIR BELITTLING OF THE PROPHET (SAWS)

They elevate their Imams above Muhammad (saw)

Because they claim their imams are above all prophets and all angels.

SHIA HUJJAH: It is a fundamental principle of faith that our (Shia) Imams have ranks higher than the ranks of angels & God’s prophets. (Khomeini’s book, Hukuma Islamiya, p. 52)

Then they claim when Muhammad was alive he didn’t succeed in establishing justice.

SHIA HUJJAH: Every prophet came to establish justice on Earth. His aim was also to establish justice but he was not successful. The same is the position of the Seal of the Prophets who came to reform human society and establish justice but failed during his lifetime.’ (Ittihad wa-yak-jihati:15)

They are trying to veto Allah.

This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion….. (Al-Ma’idah 5:3)

The Jews said if Allah had revealed a verse like 5:3 in their Torah,

-they would have set that day as a day of celebration.

Allah said He has perfected the religion.

Muhammad’s mission was a success and it was perfect.

They say they beg to differ, Muhammad didn’t establish justice on earth.

Narrated By Tariq bin Shihab: A Jew said to ‘Umar, “O Chief of the Believers, if this verse: ‘This day I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favors upon you, and have chosen for you, Islam as your religion.’ (5.3) had been revealed upon us, we would have taken that day as an ‘Id (festival) day.” ‘Umar said, “I know definitely on what day this Verse was revealed; it was revealed on the day of ‘Arafat, on a Friday.” [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 9, Book 92, Hadith #373]

            THEIR CONCEPT OF ALLAH (SWT)

The shiites say Allah is a liar who makes mistakes.

SHIA HUJJAH: “Allah often lies and does mistakes” [Usool-al-Kafi, page 328, Yacoob Kulayni, Vol. 1] And “Bad’ah” ALLAH tells a lie. (Asool Kaafi, Vol. No.1, Page No. 148)

But their imams cannot make mistakes.

So they elevate their imams above Allah.

This is a reality that many people don’t know.

            Shiites are the worst kaafirs.

          10. “Khomeni was a paedophile and an atheist.”

I just watched the video about Khomeini raping a 4 year old girl. What a disgusting piece of shit. No wonder man of warts admitted to being a rapist. Man of warts was jus emulating its imam

Man-O Was Right. You DID watch them all. :-)))

Let’s put it this way about the major differences.
Jews found God, although RA was keeping them warm. Everything else about life looked ‘normal’ to them, even Lepers and Romans. They like Status Quo. A Carpenter growing up and watching the melee felt something was wrong. His mind had a thought.
Jesus said: ‘God the Father (our father) recommends this path and way of thinking. Treat others the way you want to be treated.’ (sort of an a-political statement) And he gave a few examples, and speeches, until he ticked off some bankers.
After which – with the exception of things that some Jews didn’t agree with – people felt better about themselves and suffering humanity in general, and the ‘Church Heads’ quoted Jesus more often than not when referencing God. Mostly. An addition was made to the Jewish Book.
Then along comes a Great Warrior-killer named Mohammad who, after some successes, FEELS like a God. His mind has a new thought – which he dictates to others. ‘Allah-God says ‘DO unto yourself these little things every day, always, forever, without wavering, (i.e. Walk the Walk) and He will reward you – and if anyone doesn’t, it seems OK to chop off a head – it’s how I feel, so it must be God saying it. I’m the conduit now.’
(winning-battle experience) BUT, it’s not an addition to the previous 2 books, although there’s some mention of the previous ‘prophets’, and Mohammad basically puts out a Pamphlet. Unfortunately, he adds a line which says: ‘Other prophets may come and add to this Pamphlet, their Godly thoughts, which will be more important than mine.’
WELL, Talk about a mistake. THAT created a ‘rush’ for sure. ‘Hadiths’ were invented.
And since then, EVERY ‘Church (mosque) Head’ FEELS he has to come up with his own chapter and people have been trained to think it’s all from Allah. VOILA !!

Writing about Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, the Orientalist scholar W Montgomery Watt wrote: “Of all the world’s great men, none has been so much maligned as Muhammad.” His quote seems all the more poignant in light of the Islamophobes be it Zionist Shias, Christians, Hindus, … or Atheists, …

This claim is a recurring one among critics of Islam, so its foundation deserves close scrutiny.

Critics allege that Aisha (ra) was just six years old when she was betrothed to Muhammad, himself in his 50s, and only nine when the marriage was consummated. They base this on a saying attributed to Aisha (ra) herself (Sahih Bukhari volume 5, book 58, number 234), the Qur’an states that marriage is void unless entered into by consenting adults, Aisha (ra) must have entered puberty early.

In seventh-century Arabia, adulthood was defined as the onset of puberty. (This much is true, and was also the case in Europe: five centuries after Muhammad’s marriage to Aisha, 33-year-old King John of England married 12-year-old Isabella of Angoulême.) Interestingly, of the many criticisms of Muhammad made at the time by his opponents, none focused on Aisha’s (ra) age at marriage.

According to this perspective, Aisha (ra) may have been young, but she was not younger than was the norm at the time. Aisha (ra) would have been no different. What’s more, Aisha had already been engaged to someone else before she married Muhammad, suggesting she had already been mature enough by the standards of her society to consider marriage for a while.

In Islam, the hadith literature (sayings of the prophet) is considered secondary to the Qur’an. While the Qur’an is considered to be the verbatim word of God, the hadiths were transmitted over time through a rigorous but not infallible methodology. Taking all known accounts and records of Aisha’s age at marriage, estimates of her age range from nine to 19.

Because of this, it is impossible to know with any certainty how old Aisha was. What we do know is what the Qur’an says about marriage: that it is valid only between consenting adults, and that a woman has the right to choose her own spouse. As the living embodiment of Islam, Muhammad’s actions reflect the Qur’an’s teachings on marriage, even if the actions of some Muslim regimes and individuals do not.

The Islamophobic depiction of Muhammad’s (pbuh) marriage to Aisha (ra) as motivated by misplaced desire fits within a broader Orientalist depiction of Muhammad (pbuh) as a philanderer. This idea dates back to the crusades. According to the academic Kecia Ali: “Accusations of lust and sensuality were a regular feature of medieval attacks on the prophet’s character and, by extension, on the authenticity of Islam.”

This portrayal ignored the fact that before his marriage to Aisha, Muhammad had been married to Khadija, a powerful businesswoman 15 years his senior, for 25 years. When she died, he was devastated and friends encouraged him to remarry. A female acquaintance suggested Aisha, a bright and vivacious character.

Aisha’s (ra) union would also have cemented Muhammad’s longstanding friendship with her father, Abu Bakr. As was the tradition in Arabia (and still is in some parts of the world today), marriage typically served a social and political function – a way of uniting tribes, resolving feuds, caring for widows and orphans, and generally strengthening bonds in a highly unstable and changing political environment. Of the women Muhammad married, the majority were widows. To consider the marriages of the prophet outside of these calculations is profoundly ahistorical.

What the records are clear on is that Muhammad (pbuh) and Aisha (ra) had a loving and egalitarian relationship, which set the standard for reciprocity, tenderness and respect enjoined by the Qur’an. Insights into their relationship, such as the fact they liked to drink out of the same cup or race one another, are indicative of a deep connection which belies any misrepresentation of their relationship.

During his lifetime, he established her authority by telling Muslims to consult her in his absence; after his death, she went to be become one of the most prolific and distinguished scholars of her time.

A stateswoman, scholar, mufti, and judge, Aisha combined spirituality, activism and knowledge and remains a role model for many Muslim women today. The gulf between her true legacy and her depiction in Islamophobic materials is not merely historically inaccurate, it is an insult to the memory of a pioneering woman.

Those who manipulate her story to justify the abuse of young girls (Shia Imams, …), and those who manipulate it in order to depict Islam as a religion that legitimises such abuse have more in common than they think. Both demonstrate a disregard for what we know about the times in which Muhammad lived, and for the affirmation of female autonomy which her story illustrates.

          22. Husain Avatar

Through the centuries, orientalists have leveled numerous FALSE accusations and far-fetched theories to discredit Islam and its last Prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him). Praise be to Allah alone, all such accusations have been successfully refuted by the Muslims Ummah. Currently, one of the ‘reinvented’ accusations against the noble character of the Prophet is about his marriage to young Aisha Siddiqa (ra).

If he had been a true pedophile he would have had a harem of little girls. Stupid accusation from insecure and inferior hypocrites and bigots !!!!!!!

Let’s probe some of the orientalists’ charges in detail in the light of modern research, historic evidence and the Islamic sources of the Quran and the Sunnah to separate truth from falsehood, and display to the world that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is indeed an exemplary for all of mankind.

Two main theories are often advance by orientalists to attack the pure character of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) on his marriage to Aisha ® at her young age.

            A. He was a Pedophile.

            B. He was involved in child abuse.

Let’s analyze each theory to dig out the truth, through the Guidance of Allah (SWT).

            A. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) married Aisha ® because he was a pedophile?

            Definition of a Pedophile:

“Pedophile: also spelled PEDOPHILIA, psychosexual disorder in which an adult’s arousal and sexual gratification occur primarily through sexual contact with prepubescent children. The typical pedophile is unable to find satisfaction in an adult sexual relationship and may have low self-esteem, seeing sexual activity with a child as less threatening than that with an adult.” Encyclopedia Britannica, 1998

“pe.do.phil.ia n [NL] (1906): sexual perversion in which children are the preferred sexual object — pe.do.phil.i.ac or pe.do.phil.ic adj.” Merriam Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary

The diagnostic criteria for pedophilia according to American Psychiatric Association:

            # Over a period of at least 6 months, recurrent intense sexual urges and sexual arousing fantasies involving sexual activity with a prepubescent child or children.

            # The person has acted on these urges, or is markedly distressed by them.

            # The person is at least 16 years old and at least 5 years older than the child or children in A.

DSM-III-R Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, ed 3, revised, copyright American Psychiatric Association.

“In addition to their pedophilia, a significant number of pedophiles are concomitantly or have previously been involved in exhibitionism, voyeurism, or rape”. (Voyeurism’s the recurrent preoccupation with fantasized or acts that involve seeking out or observing people who are naked, or are engaged in grooming or in sexual activity”. Synopsis of psychiatry, Harold I.Kaplan et al., 5th ed., pg360, Publishers: Williams and Wilkens, 1988

Does the Prophet fit the above criteria of a pedophile?

With the above criteria of a pedophile in mind, lets analyze the lifestyle of the prophet and his marriages.

Name of Bride’s and their age at marriage

Khadija bint khawilad 40 Twice widowed before

            Sauda Bint Zama 50 Widow

            Aisha bint Abu Bakr 9-19

Hafsa Bint Umar bin Khattab 22 Widow

            Zainab bint Khuzaima 30 Widow

Umm-I-Salma bint Abu Umayia 26 Widow

Source: The Prophet of Islam, the Ideal Husband, by Syed Abu Zafar Zain, Kazi Publications, Lahore, Ist Ed., pg. 10-12

            Statistics from the above table:

Percentage of his wives who were 17years and older =91 %

Percentage of his wives who were widows = 75%

Comment: The statistics show that the prophet’s marriage to Aisha at her young age was an exception and not a norm of his other marriages. Furthermore ‘a pedophile’s main mode of sexual satisfaction is with prepubescent girls’, which is contradictory to the 91% of prophet’s marriage to women 17 years and over. An unbiased examination of Prophet’s life and his marriages to his wives blatantly rejects the notion of his lifestyle fitting that of a pedophile. All his brides were aged widows (except Aisha and Marium).

Moreover, according to the criteria in the references cited above in ‘Synopsis of Psychiatry’, a vast majority of pedophiles possess a history of exhibitionism, voyeurism, or rape. Again, there is no single reference from either religious or secular sources that the noble Prophet (pbuh) ever indulged in such sadistic behavior (God forbid). This truth is observed and accepted by both Muslims and unbiased non-Muslims scholars.

“It is impossible for anyone who studies the life and character of the great Prophet of Arabia, who knows how he taught and how he lived, to feel anything but reverence for that mighty Prophet, one of the great messengers of the Supreme. And although in what I put to you I shall say many things which may be familiar to many, yet I myself feel whenever I re-read them, a new way of admiration, a new sense of reverence for that mighty Arabian teacher.” – Annie Besant, THE LIFE AND TEACHINGS OF MUHAMMAD, Madras, 1932, p. 4.

            B. Others claim that the noble Prophet (peace be upon him) indulged in child-abuse when he married Aisha (ra) at her young age.

            Let scrutinize this allegation…

            Definition of Child Abuse:

Child Abuse, also called CRUELTY TO CHILDREN, the willful and unjustifiable infliction of pain and suffering on children. The term can denote the use of inordinate physical violence; unjustifiable verbal abuse; the failure to furnish proper shelter, nourishment, medical treatment, or emotional support; incest; other cases of sexual molestation or rape; and the making of child pornography. Frequently described by the medical profession as the “battered-child syndrome,” abusive treatment of children is almost universally proscribed by criminal statutes. Child abuse can have serious future consequences for the victims involved. Delays in physical growth, impaired language and cognitive abilities, and problems in personality development, learning, and behavior are common following instances of child abuse or neglect. Encyclopedia Britannica, 1998

Comment: None of the criteria of child-abuse applies to the noble life of the Prophet (pbuh). There is no single incident of any infliction of pain and suffering by the prophet on Aisha or any other human being for that matter. Neither any instance of verbal or sexual abuse can be concluded from the relationship of the prophet with Aisha ® or any of his wives.

An abused child can have serious future consequences…delayed physical growth, impaired language..learning and behavior…etc (above definition). As one examines the chaste life of Aisha (ra), her personality, physical, mental and spiritual development are all contrary to that of an abused child. In fact through the Prophet’s marriage and his guidance to Aisha, history testifies that she should be labeled not as an abused child but as a ‘blessed child’.

After analyzing and refuting the accusations against the noble character of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the only viable alternative left with us is:

            C. The Prophet married Aisha (ra) f.tor the benefit of Islam and Humanity.

            Lets analyze…

            # The Prophet married Aisha primarily for three reasons:

            # To reinforce the friendly relations already existing with Abu Bakr (his closest companion).

            # To educate and train Aisha so she may serve the purposes of Islam.

            # To teach her to utilize her capabilities for the sake of Islam.

            # Her Marriage with the prophet was a Wahi (Divine Revelation). She, herself relates from the Prophet, ‘He said, “I saw you in dreams three times. The angel brought you to me and you were clad in white silk. He (the angel) said that it was your consort and he (angel) showed me by opening your face. You are just like that…” Sahih Muslim, Vol.2, p.285.

            # Aisha (ra) was born after her parents had embraced Islam. Therefore, she was free from the defilement of polytheism right from her birth.

            # In her youth, already known for her striking beauty and her formidable memory, she came under the loving care and attention of the Prophet himself. As his wife and close companion she acquired from him knowledge and insight such as no woman has ever acquired.

Aishah (ra) lived on almost fifty years after the passing away of the Prophet. She had been his wife for a decade. Much of this time was spent in learning and acquiring knowledge of the two most important sources of God’s guidance, the Quran and the Sunnah of His Prophet. Aishah (ra) was one of the three wives (the other two being Hafsa (ra) and Umm Salamah (ra)) who memorized the Revelation. Like Hafsa (ra), she had her own script of the Quran written after the Prophet had died.

            # So far as the Hadith or sayings of the Prophet is concerned, Aishah (ra), is one of four persons (the others being Abu Hurrah, Abdullah ibn Umar, and Ana ibn Malik) who transmitted more than two thousand sayings. From her, 2210 Hadith have come, out of which 174 Hadith are commonly agreed upon by both Bukhari and Muslim. Many of her transmissions pertain to some of the most intimate aspects of personal behavior which only someone in Aishah’s (ra) position could have learnt. What is most important is that her knowledge of Hadith was passed on in written form by at least three persons including her nephew Urwah who became one of the greatest scholars among the generation after the Companions. It is the claim of the Scholars of Islam that without her, half of the Ilm-I-Hadith [knowledge, understanding of the Hadith (and Islam)] would have perished.

            # Many of the learned companions of the Prophet and their followers benefited from Aishah’s (ra) knowledge. Abu Musa al-Ashari once said: “If we companions of the Messenger of God had any difficulty on a matter, we asked Aisha about it.”

“Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said from Said ibn al-Musayyab that Abu Musa al-Ashari came to Aishah, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said to her, “The disagreement of the companions in a matter which I hate to bring before you has distressed me.” She said, “What is that? You did not ask your mother about it, so ask me.” He said, “A man penetrates his wife, but becomes listless and does not ejaculate. “She said, “When the circumcised part passes the circumcised part ghusl is obligatory.” Abu Musa added, “I shall never ask anyone about this after you.” Al-Muwatta of Imam Malik Hadith 2.75

Arwa Bin Zubair says, “I did not find anyone more proficient (than Aisha (ra)) in the knowledge of the Holy Quran, the Commandments of Halal (lawful) and Haram (prohibited), Ilmul-Ansab and Arabic poetry. That is why, even senior companions of the Prophet used to consult Aisha (ra) in resolving intricate issued“.Jala-ul-Afham by Ibn Qaiyem and Ibn Sa’ad, Vol.2, p.26

Abu Musa al-Ashari says: “Never had we (the companions) had any difficulty for the solution of which we approached Aisha (ra) and did not get some useful information from her“.Sirat-I-Aisha, on the authority of Trimidhi, pg. 163

            # As a teacher she had a clear and persuasive manner of speech and her power of oratory has been described in superlative terms by al-Ahnaf who said: “I have heard speeches of Abu Bakr and Umar, Uthman and Ali and the Khulafa up to this day, but I have not heard speech more persuasive and more beautiful from the mouth of any person than from the mouth of Aishah (ra).”

The Prophet said, “The superiority of ‘Aisha to other ladies is like the superiority of Tharid (i.e. meat and bread dish) to other meals. Many men reached the level of perfection, but no woman reached such a level except Mary, the daughter of Imran and Asia, the wife of Pharaoh.” Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith, Narrated by Abu Musa Al Ashari Hadith 4.643

Musa Ibn Talha says, “I did not see anyone more eloquent than Aisha (ra)” Mustadrak of Hakim, Vol.4,p.11

            # Men and women came from far and wide to benefit from her knowledge.

Aisha’s (ra) great interest in the study of the Qur’an is understandable. She was an eye-witness to a number of revelations and had therefore a clear idea of the circumstances in which they were revealed. It was on her bed alone (and no other consort’s) that the Prophet received Wahi (Divine Revelations) several times. This helped her in interpreting the verses.

            # At the time of the Prophet’s death, the Prophet’s head was on her lap. It was in her quarters that the Prophet was buried.

The life of Aishah (ra) is a proof that a woman can be far more learned than men and that she can be the teacher of scholars and experts. Her life is also a proof that a woman can exert influence over men and women and provide them with inspiration and leadership. Aisha (ra) is a continuing inspiration and role model to today’s youth who are diligently searching for an example amongst the pop stars, movie actresses and sports stars. May the memory of her’s live forever in the heart of the Muslim Ummah and may Allah grant her the highest abode in Paradise…Aameen.

            Conclusion:

It was the aforementioned qualities of Aisha (ra) and the Prophet’s guidance in molding these capabilities for the service of Islam, were the main reasons, why the Prophet Married young Aisha (ra), and not the perverted reasons brought forth by misguided orientalists.

Muslims invite all sincere humans to study the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon) in the light of the authentic sources of the Quran and the Sunnah (exemplary sayings and deeds of the Prophet) and judge for themselves where the truth lies. Indeed, by recognizing the truth of Islam as the final and complete Guidance sent by our Creator can humanity find lasting peace in this world and a means of salvation from the hell fire in the hereafter.

          23. I came across The following when I was reading about Ghandi.
“Mahatma Gandhi, statement published in “Young India”, 1924:

“I wanted to know the best of the life of one who holds today an undisputed sway over the hearts of millions of mankind… I became more than ever convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life. It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the Prophet the scrupulous regard for pledges, his intense devotion to his friends and followers, his intrepidity, his fearlessness, his absolute trust in God and in his own mission. These and not the sword carried everything before them and surmounted every obstacle. When I closed the second volume (of the Prophet’s biography), I was sorry there was not more for me to read of that great life.””

          24. The Book of Jasher is mentioned in Joshua 10:12–13 and 2 Samuel 1:18. This is interesting – although the Book of Jasher is not part of the canon, the Old Testament does mention it. So, it was in existence. Let’s read Jasher 24:37-45:

            37. And the Lord hearkened to the voice of Eliezer, for the sake of his servant Abraham, and he happened to meet with the daughter of Bethuel, the son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, brother to Abraham, and Eliezer came to her house.
            38. And Eliezer related to them all his concerns, and that he was Abraham’s servant, and they greatly rejoiced at him.
            39. And they all blessed the Lord who brought this about, and they gave him, Rebecca, the daughter of Bethuel, for a wife for Isaac.
            40. And the young woman was of very comely appearance, she was a virgin, and Rebecca was ten years old in those days.
            41. And Bethuel and Laban and his children made a feast on that night, and Eliezer and his men came and ate and drank and rejoiced there on that night.
            42. And Eliezer rose up in the morning, he and the men that were with him, and he called to the whole household of Bethuel, saying, send me away that I may go to my master; and they rose up and sent away Rebecca and her nurse Deborah, the daughter if UZ and they gave her silver and gold , men servants and maid servants, and they blessed her.
            43. And they sent Eliezer away with his men; and the servants took Rebecca, and he went and returned to his master to the land of Canaan.
            44. And Isaac took Rebecca and she became his wife, and he brought her into the tent.
            45. And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebecca, the daughter of his uncle Bethuel, for a wife.

What we read from Jasher 24:35-45 is that Isaac was 40 years old when he consummated his marriage with 10 year old Rebekah. Some people might raise their eyebrows at the above information. It is noteworthy to mention to viewers that this was common in human history. This type of marriage was customary among all societies and cultures. Most of the time, the man was always older than the girl. It is only in the 20th century where this started changing. Prior to the 20th century, when a girl hit puberty, she was considered to be a ‘woman’, and it didn’t make a difference if she was 9, 11 or 14. Children were classified into adulthood upon reaching the stage of puberty. There are many historical evidences for this. The age of consent in America and most European countries was 10, and in the state of Delaware it was as low as 7, only 100 years ago. Other cultures were the same, as Rabbi Isaac Klein (and other scholars) states in his book: ‘A Guide to Jewish Religious Practice’, child marriages were common and that ‘age was not the factor’ when someone was married off,

“Child marriages were very common in ancient days. Since marriages were arranged by parents and the consent of parties was not necessary, AGE WAS NOT THE FACTOR in coming to an agreement. The physical factor related only to the consummation of the marriage. Hence, there was usually a waiting period between the agreement and the consummation. It is logical to assume that when a boy and a girl reached the age of puberty, and the sex urge demanded satisfaction, ancient society deemed marriage to be the answer. In time, other elements became factor in marriage: climate, social conditions, economic conditions, and even political conditions.” [1]

            Old Testament Scholar Gordon Wenham

“In reality social custom and pressures greatly curtailed the sexual freedom of men in the Bible times. First, marriages were customarily arranged by parents, as soon as children passed puberty. This meant that there were few unattached girls: most females of marriageable age were either married or betrothed…” [2]

            Dr. Richard H. Lowery

“A typical adult Israelite male had a life expectancy of forty years. Infant mortality rates were high, perhaps as high as 50 percent. So women typically had two pregnancies for every one child who reached age five. Since the economic survival of the household depended on the production of able-bodied children, women married immediately after puberty and were pregnant or nursing for a relatively large portion of their life.” [3]

Additionally, some scholars disprove the Book of Jasher as not being authentic because there are ‘some’ instances where the information in Jasher contradicts the Old Testament or that it did not exist prior to the 16th century. However, this type of reasoning should not negate the whole Book, for there are many parts which agree with the Old Testament. Mordecai Manuel Noah who translated Jasher had this to say on the book:

Without giving it to the world as a work of Divine inspiration, or assuming the responsibility to say that it is not an inspired book, I have no hesitation in pronouncing it a work of great antiquity and interest, and a work entitled, even regarding it as a literary curiosity, to a great circulation among those who take pleasure in studying the Scriptures. – Mordecai Manuel Noah [New-York, April, 1839] [4]

Mordecai states although the book may not be ‘divine inspiration’, he continues by saying that he has ‘no hesitation in pronouncing it a work of great antiquity’.

In addition to what I have already presented, the following passage sheds more light and corroborates with the previous evidences shown that Rebekah was a very young girl when she got married. In fact, she was so young that she needed a nursing woman with her when she was married off:

Genesis 24:57 Then they said, “Let’s call the young woman and ask her about it.” 58 So they called Rebekah and asked her, “Will you go with this man?” “I will go,” she said. 59 So they sent their sister Rebekah on her way, along with her nurse and Abraham’s servant and his men. 60 And they blessed Rebekah and said to her.

Question: If Rebekah was a grown woman, who attained full womanhood, why would she need a ‘nursing woman’ to accompany her? This shows she was very young and not an age where she can take care of herself. This above verse confirms Jasher 24:35-45 that Rebecca was most probably 10 years old when she was married off to 40 year old Isaac.

            Conclusion:

Thus, historically speaking, marriages such as Isaac marrying 10 year old Rebekah when he was 40 years old would be culturally and religiously acceptable in those times. Seeing examples such as age of consent in America and Europe gives more weight that such marriages was not uncommon. In addition, as I stated earlier, age was not a factor when a girl hit ‘puberty’, as before the 20th century she was considered to be an adult. Also, in Genesis 24:59, Rebekah having a nursing woman accompany her proves that she was very young – why would she need a nurse with her if she was a fully grown woman?

          25. In Biblical times people were married at a very young age. Girls were usually betrothed before they reached puberty – majority of the time the marriage would have consummated when the girl reached puberty, and that was usually between the ages of 8, 9 or older,(Note: when a girl reached puberty prior to the 20th century, she was considered to be an adult in most cultures/societies).

In ancient Israelite times took place at a very young age, sometimes the girls who were married off were pre-pubescent. There was no law against a pre-pubescent girl being married off. Actually as you will read further, you will come to realise that the Mishnah gave approval for a Man to have intercourse to a betrothed girl, any-time after the age of three years old.

Bible: Does Numbers 31:18 Sanction Pre-Pubescent Marriages (Child Marriage)

The answer for the above, yes Numbers 31:18 does sanction child marriage.

            Webster’s Bible Translation Numbers 31:17-18

Now therefore kill every male among the little ones (taph), and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the female children (taph), that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

Let’s first show the part where the Hebrew word ‘taph’ used and what it means in the verse. Below is the text-image for the passage under discussion.

When we consult Hebrew-English Lexicons on the word ‘taph’, it only refers to pre-pubescent girls and boys:

An English and Hebrew Lexicon – Professor Selig Newman:

            Child , an infant … טַף… an offspring,… get with-……[1]

            A complete Hebrew-English pocket-dictionary to the Old Testament (1905) – Karl Feyerabend:

            טַף (taf) ., i.p. .., w.s…. coll. Children, little ones. [2]

            A Compendious Hebrew-Lexicon – Samuel Pike

טַף little ones or children… mincing in a childish manner, Isai. Iii. 16. –… to drop, or distil… to prophecy, or distil instruction, Micah ii. 6, 11 [3]

The above Lexicons commenting on the Hebrew word ‘taph’, they quite clearly show that the word only refers to children or infants. Let’s now read the verse again to get a better understanding:

            Webster’s Bible Translation Numbers 31:17-18

Now therefore kill every male among the little ones (taph), and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the female children (taph), that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

As we start reading from verse 17, it begins by Moses commanding the soldiers to execute all the male children (infants), and all the women who have slept with a man, in other words women who are not virgin. When we get to the next verse (v. 18), Moses tells his soldiers that they can take for themselves all the female children.

Now, question arises; why are the male children not shown any mercy, get executed, but the female children left alive? It is obvious from the words, “for yourselves”, Moses meant that they can have the female children for their own pleasure, to cohabit with.

When I started examining Numbers 31:17-18, reading the Hebrew words for verse 18 at the end, one word was left unexplained. This is not the case of just one English Bible translation, all the modern Bible translations have blatantly crossed out the word. The word I am referring to is ‘lakhem’ (or lacham), this word is left unexplained. This same word (lacham) is used in many other passages such as: Exd 1:10, Deu 1:41, Jos 10:5, Jdg 1:8, 1Sa 31:1, 1Ki 12:24, Isa 19:2, in all these verses mentioned, when the Hebrew word ‘lacham’ is used , it means:- ‘fight’, ‘fought’, or ‘warred’. Here is Hebrew text-image for the mentioned passage:

The word ‘lacham’ is used in them verses. If you go to any Judaic-Christian website, where they give definitions for any word from the Bible, they have always left the word ‘lacham’ unexplained for the passage.

Biblical verses and from these sites, Blueletterbible.org or biblestudytools.com, and they have always given an explanation in detail, what a word means. But when I started examining Numbers 31:18, what caught my eye was the word ‘lacham’, it was left blank. What made it even strange is, I was not allowed (able) to click on the word, to see what the meaning of the word is.

You can learn about the word and find out what the meaning of it is. Shaye J. D. Cohen who is a renowned Professor writes that the word lachem used in the verse is meant sexually:

“Moses enjoins upon the returning warriors to kill their Midianite female captives who have lain with a man, but ‘spare for yourselves every young woman who has not had carnal relations with a man’; WE MAY BE SURE THAT ‘FOR YOURSELVES’ MEANS THAT THE WARRIORS MAY ‘USE’ THEIR VIRGIN CAPTIVES SEXUALLY.52 The law in numbers differs from the law in Deuteronomy- perhaps the most significant distinction is that the law in Deuteronomy does not care whether the captive is a virgin or not- but it too permits Israelite warrior to marry (or ‘marry) a foreign woman.”

In the same page, in footnote 52, Professor Shaye J.D. Cohen goes further on the verse, he writes:

“I do not know why the new Jewish version omits ‘for yourselves’; the Hebrew lakhem is unambiguous. That the intent of ‘FOR YOURSELVES’ IS SEXUAL OR MATRIMONIAL IS OBVIOUS; the passage is correctly understood by Rabbi Simeon Yohai in the Sifrei ad loc (177 212H).” [4]

Now it all makes sense why missionaries try hard not to give the true meaning for the word. We can see the deceit of Evangelicals trying hard to cover up the word. Thankfully we have a sincere Scholar as Shaye J.D. Cohen who makes it clear that the word can only be meant ‘sexually’.

Wil Gafney, Ph.D. is Associate Professor of Hebrew and Old Testament at The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, and is an Episcopal Priest canonically resident in the Diocese of Pennsylvania. She is another line of Scholars who comments on Numbers 31:18, she writes,

“The ‘one woman, one man’ relationship of Eve and Adam becomes one man and two women in Genesis 4:19, ONE MAN AND AN UNTOLD NUMBER OF PREPUBESCENT GIRL CAPTIVES IN NUMBER 31:18 and in several other texts. IT APPEARS THAT GOD HAS LEFT IT TO HUMANITY TO DECIDE WHO ARE APPROPRIATE INTIMATE PARTNERS AND UNDER WHAT CIRCUMSTANCES. The evolution of polygamy, both CONSENSUAL AND FORCED, as a human-initiated cultural practice in the scriptures is particularly striking because of God’s lack of condemnation of it (not to mention, according to Deuteronomy, God’s sanction of abduction or rape-marriage during armed conflicts).

When inviting individuals and their descendants into eternal covenant relationships with God, God never required that the matriarchs and patriarchs revert to an Eve-Adam, monogamous pairing.” [5]

Notice, Professor Wil brings up Numbers 31:18 and at the same time she writes, “God has left it to humanity to decide who are appropriate intimate partners and under what circumstances.” She is referring to the pre-pubescent girls. In other words, she is saying God left it to humanity to decide whether it is ‘ok’ to cohabit with a pre-pubescent girls or not.

Another Professor by the name Miguel A. De La Torre mentions that Numbers 31:18 found Biblical justification of raping female slaves and that it was considered ordained by God, by Christian slave owners of the past. He writes,

“The Bible was masterfully used by those in power to justify the owning of black bodies. This was an easy feat; nowhere in either the Hebrew Bible or the New Testament is slavery categorically condemned. The supporters of slavery in the antebellum south were the ones who had the biblical chapters and verses to quote to justify their way of life. The abolitionists were hard pressed to find any biblical passage that outright condemned the institution of slavery. EVEN THE RAPE OF FEMALE SLAVES FOUND BIBLICAL JUSTIFICATION AND WAS CONSIDERED TO BE ORDAINED BY GOD. SPECIFICALLY, NUMBERS 31:18 INSTRUCTS CONQUERORS AS FOLLOWS: ‘YOU SHALL KEEP ALIVE ALL YOUNG FEMALES WHO HAVE NOT HAD SEX WITH A MALE FOR YOURSELVES.’ [6]

The Popular Commentary by Paul E. Kretzmann

“v. 18. But all the women children that have not known a man by lying with him keep alive for yourselves, as slaves or handmaids, FOR MARRIAGE WITH SUCH WAS NOT FORBIDDEN. The great God is terrible in His judgments, a fact which should teach us to fear His wrath and not act contrary to His commandments.” [7]

Even the Bible commentator Paul E. Kretzmann, makes it clear, commenting on the verse that marriage with the pre-pubescent females ‘was not forbidden’.

Dr Judith E. McKinlay also mentions that the Bible ‘seems’ at times to turn a blind eye and allow ‘free romance’ commenting on Numbers 31:18.

“Where the texts have a concern for the circumcised status, this clearly does not apply to women! And where there is a concern for lineage the importance of patrilineal descent meant a lesser concern regarding the potential mothers. So, in the war against Midian, Moses says to the people in Num 31.18 that of the captured Midian women, ‘all the young women who have not known a man by sleeping with him, keep alive for yourselves’. AT TIMES IT SEEMS AS IF THE BIBLE WANTS TO TURN A BLIND EYE TO THE MATTER ALTOGETHER AND ALLOW FREE ROMANCE A FREE HAND.” [8]

The evidence presented for Numbers 31:18 is clear that pre-pubescent marriages are encouraged in the Bible (Old Testament). There is no mention in the Bible that, “there has to be a waiting period for the girls who are pre-pubescent.” The command does not exist. There is no command in the verse where there has to be a waiting period for a female to grow up, before a soldier can cohabit with her. The words in Numbers 31:18 are very clear: “keep alive for YOURSELVES”, means that the soldier can cohabit with the female pre-pubescent captive straight away. The command in Numbers 31:18 is straight forward, the soldiers can be with the female pre-pubescent immediately, sexually.

            Missionary objection against Numbers 31:18

One of the baseless arguments raised against Numbers 31:18 by Evangelists is that they say ‘it does not sanction Child marriage’ they cite this passage:

Ezekiel 16 New International Version (NIV)

            Jerusalem as an Adulterous Wife

1 The word of the LORD came to me: 2 “Son of man, confront Jerusalem with her detestable practices3 and say, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says to Jerusalem: Your ancestry and birth were in the land of the Canaanites; your father was an Amorite and your mother a Hittite. 4 On the day you were born your cord was not cut, nor were you washed with water to make you clean, nor were you rubbed with salt or wrapped in cloths. 5 No one looked on you with pity or had compassion enough to do any of these things for you. Rather, you were thrown out into the open field, for on the day you were born you were despised.

6 “‘Then I passed by and saw you kicking about in your blood, and as you lay there in your blood I said to you, “Live!” 7 I made you grow like a plant of the field. You grew and developed and entered puberty. Your breasts had formed and your hair had grown, yet you were stark naked.

8 “‘Later I passed by, and when I looked at you and saw that you were old enough for love, I spread the corner of my garment over you and covered your naked body. I gave you my solemn oath and entered into a covenant with you, declares the Sovereign LORD, and you became mine.

According to the above passage cited by missionaries, they say the Bible ‘forbids pre-pubescent marriages’.

            Questions for missionaries:

            1. Nowhere in the above verse does it say ‘that you are forbidden from marrying pre-pubescent females’, where does it say that “you are forbidden from marrying pre-pubescent girls” from the Bible? Where are the verses that abrogate Numbers 31:18 explicitly?

            2. How is Ezekiel 16:1-8 A PARABLE (not a command) override (abrogate) Numbers 31:18? When in Numbers 31: 18, it explicitly states that you can ‘take for YOURSELVES’, marry female captives by force.

            3. How is Ezekiel in anyway relevant to Moses and his soldiers, when Ezekiel was born nearly 700 years after Moses? Ezekiel did not even exist when Moses and his soldiers were raping, marrying pre-pubescent females.

More Scholarly evidences on pre-pubescent marriages

Jacob Neusner is an American academic scholar of Judaism. In the Book: ‘The Comparative Hermeneutics of Rabbinic Judaism: Seder Tohorot. Tohorot through Uqsin.’ The Jewish oral Torah“i.e. Mishnah says:

            M. 5:4 A girl three years and one day old is betrothed by intercourse. And if a Levir has had intercourse with her, he has acquired her. And they are liable on her account because of the law [Prohibiting intercourse with] a married woman. And she imparts uncleanness to him who has intercourse with her [when she is menstruating] to convey uncleanness to the lower as to the upper layer. [If] she was married to a priest, she eats heave offering. [If] one of those who are unfit [for marriage] has intercourse with her, he has rendered her unfit to marry into priesthood. [If] one of all those who are forbidden in the Torah to have intercourse with her, he is put to death on her account, but she is free of responsibility.”

A Commentary on the above verse, in the Book: ‘A history of the Mishnaic Law of Purities. 15. Niddah, by Jacob Neusner, it says:

            M. 5:4-5 bring us to the next stage in the matter of the legal status of children, female and male. The girl three years and one day old is deemed capable of sexual relations, which accounts for A, B, and C. D. Presumably should not be apply to M. 5:3-a; if the girl is unclean as a menstruant but is incapable of sexual relations, one who has (or attempts) relations with her is not made unclean as is one who has had sexual relations with a menstruant. E simply goes over familiar ground; since the girl can be acquired as a wife, she also may eat heave-offering. F. Follows, and G. Repeats what is already obvious. But H limits the matter. The girl is not held responsible in a matter of forbidden sexual relations. I is a minor gloss. If the girl is less than three years and one day old, we do not regard the sexual relationship as of legal consequence. The theory is that the tokens of Virginity are restored before that time but not afterword.

Pay close attention to the above statements, how Scholar Jacob Neusner says that a female of three year old ‘could be deemed capable of sexual relations.’ And in the first quotation he says that the Mishnah approves that a man could have sexual relations with a betrothed girl when she is only just three years old.

Professor of Sociology Mary De Young writes:

“The possession of Children by their parents was also given religious sanction in the teachings of both the Talmud and the Bible. Rush (1880) states that theTalmud teaches that a girl of ‘three years and one day’ could be betrothed through an act of sexual intercourse.”

Even Professor Geza Vermes who is a well known and highly respected scholar comments that Pre-pubescent marriages were allowed:

“…the Greek parthenos could also mean that the girl was young and/or unmarried. In fact, in the Septuagint translation of the Old Testament parthenos was used to render three distinct Hebrew words, ‘Virgin’, ‘girl’ and ‘young woman’. Already Rabbis in the Tannaitic era (first to second century ad) subscribed to further nuances, and there is no reason to think that all these were invented by them. Even the word betulah, which normally means virgo intact, when used by them could carry the laternal sense of bodily immaturity with the consequential inability to conceive. In Rabbinic terminology this type of virginity in a woman ceased with the physical onset of puberty. The Mishnah, the oldest of the rabbinic codes, defines a virgin as a female who ‘has never seen blood even though she is married’ (mNiddah 1:4). The Tosefta, another early Jewish code of law, claims in the name of Rabbi Eliezer ben Hyrcanus (late first century ad) that such a woman would continue to count as a virgin even after she had conceived and borne children without prior menstruation (tNiddah 1:6)! To understand these statements, we must remember that in the InterTestamental and early rabbinic age, pre-puberty marriage was generally permitted. In fact rabbis seriously debated whether bloodstains found after the wedding night in nuptial bed of a minor, i.e. a ‘virgin in respect of menstruation’, marked her first period or the consummation of the marriage.”

Reverend Kathryn J. Riss who is a Christian also makes mention that in first century parents married off their daughters who were pre-pubescent to much older men. What is interesting is she does not mention once that Rabbis or anyone higher up in authority speaking against such marriages:

“The longest New Testament passage on marriage is found, not in Ephesians, but in 1 Corinthians chapter 7. In stark contrast to the legal positions and social expectations of the first century, here the rights and responsibilities of man and woman are upheld as equal.Although marriages were arranged by parents, who often espoused their pre-pubescent daughters to much OLDER MEN.”

Theological Dictionary of the Old Testament – Scholars: G. Johannes Botterweck, Helmer Ringgren and Heinz-Josef Fabry

“One might counter that the expression mohar habbetulot (Ex. 22:16[17]) refers rather to the pretium virginitatis. In this case, the mohar would be compensation to the girl for the loss of her virginity. This explanation, however, is unacceptable, since it proceeds on the assumption that the term betula means ‘virgin.’ This may doubtlessly be the case in many passages, but in joel 1:8, betula thus refers to a married woman who had been ‘possessed’ by her husband (ba’al); betula thus refers to a marriageable girl who was physically able to cope with a man, ‘taking her into his possession.’ Here the term betula says nothing about her virginity. Ex.22:16 (17) (kesep yisqol kemohar hab betulot) can thus be translated ‘he shall weigh out as much silver as is required for marriageable girls.’ In this context we should point out that ancient Hebrew custom did not associate marriageability with puberty. In contrast to the marriageable girl (betula), the…. Alma refers to a girl in puberty capable of conception. Girls could in fact already be given marriage long before actual physical maturity, perhaps even as young as five years old (cf. Lev. 27:5), and it did happen that marriages were already consummated with prepubescent girls.”

We can conclude that the Bible encourages/sanctions pre-pubescent marriages. I cited Scholarly references that agreed that Numbers 31:18 is about marriage with pre-pubescent girls, they also agreed that the passage is referred to sexually. What I mean is, when the words in Numbers 31:18 are used as ‘keep alive for YOURSELVES’, this meant that soldiers can keep alive the female pre-pubescent for their own pleasure. Furthermore, I went over one objection raised by the Evangelists, it was of no value whatsoever, the passage cited nowhere condemned pre-pubescent marriages. Why I say it was of ‘no value’, because Ezekiel was born 700 years after Moses. Last but not least, I cited many academics attesting that pre-pubescent marriages was sanctioned and was practised among Jews and Christians.

“Marrying off one’s daughter as soon after she reaches adulthood as possible, even to one’s Slave. (From the Talmud, Pesachim 113a)”

As we discussed, in biblical times adulthood could refer to the age of Puberty or even younger age.

Regarding the Marriage of Mary to Joseph, Catholic Encyclopaedia (http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/08504a.htm), says:

“When forty years of age, Joseph married a woman called Melcha or Escha by some, Salome by others; they lived forty-nine years together and had six children, two daughters and four sons, the youngest of whom was James (the Less, “the Lord’s brother”). A year after his wife’s death, as the priests announced through Judea that they wished to find in the tribe of Juda a respectable man to espouse Mary, then twelve to fourteen years of age, Joseph, who was at the time ninety years old, went up to Jerusalem among the candidates; a miracle manifested the choice God had made of Joseph, and two years later the Annunciation took place.”

Note: That article on Catholic Encyclopaedia obtains its information from early

            Christian writing including apocryphal writings.

The Catholic Encyclopaedia goes on to conclude “…retained the belief that St. Joseph was an old man at the time of marriage with the Mother of God.” If Christians do not find any difficulty in accepting “Mother of God” (according to Catholic Encyclopaedia), who was 12-14, marrying a 90 year old man then why do they raise objection towards the marriage of Aisha (RA) to the Prophet?

            – What about the Bible’s Prophets’ marriages?

When we read the Bible, we learn about some Prophets marrying many wives, even hundreds of wives in some cases. Let us look at some of the verses from the Old Testament:

In Exodus 21:10, a man can marry an infinite amount of women without any limits to how many he can marry.

In 2 Samuel 5:13; 1 Chronicles 3:1-9, 14:3, King David had six wives and numerous concubines.

In 1 Kings 11:3, King Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines.

In 2 Chronicles 11:21, King Solomon’s son Rehoboam had 18 wives and 60 concubines.

And knowing that the Bible’s Old Testament allowed before for men to have sex with girls who were at the age of 3, then it wouldn’t surprise anyone that those Biblical Prophets who had 700 wives for instance, had many very young “teenage” girls before as their wives.

          26. Child and teenage marriages in medieval Christian Europe – common as a cup of tea.

John McLaughlin, PhD, writes in his article MEDIEVAL CHILD MARRIAGE: ABUSE OF WARDSHIP?

” .. in 1396, Richard II of England was joined in marriage to young Isabel of France, who had been 7 years old when their engagement was announced the previous year in Paris. Not only was there no uproar; there was considerable happiness expressed over the assumed probability that this marriage would end the Hundred Years War then in one of its periodic states of truce between the two kingdoms. Peace was to be ensured by joining together this man and this little girl in marriage.

“A social practice which entered the written record in the 12th century, but which seems to have had roots in the barbaric past, that extended from the royal abattoirs down to the lives of neighboring fishmongers and shop-keepers in medieval London, yet that seems to have received little more than passing notice in canon law beyond exhortation to limit it to age seven and ensure mutual consent of the parties ….. But still it is not even indexed in most contemporary discussions of medieval marriage and family life, from Barbara Hanawalt to James Brundage, GL Brooke to Frances & Joseph Giese, Ian MacFarlane to Georges Duby. It is not exactly passed over in their texts, when you read closely

” …. there is not a single book, not a single article, on the separate topic of medieval child marriage in contemporary scholarship, even where there are passing references in the middle of other discussions of medieval childhood, as in problems of medieval wardship.

“By ‘child’ in this context is meant a male or female human being above the age of 7 — for either gender — and below the age of 14 for males, and 12 for females. This follows medieval canon law, in recognizing these as the limits of infancy and puberty

“Thus, for example, when the Wife of Bath boasts of having had five husbands since the age of 12, she is not casting herself in the role of child bride, technically speaking, at least not in medieval terms. Lee Patterson’s discussion of child marriage in Peter Beidler’s lovely new edition of The Wife of Bath, is thus irrelevant to the present discussion, except as it relates to Richard and Isabel; Christine de Pisan, for example, was already aged 15 when she was ‘given’ to her husband, and therefore according to medieval definition an adult woman.”

Rachelle Carter writes in Marriage in Medieval Times

“In the Middle Ages children were married at a young age. Girls were as young as 12 when they married, and boys as young as 17. The arrangement of the marriage was based on monetary worth. The family of the girl who was to be married gives a dowry,or donation, to the boy she is to marry. The dowry goes with her at the time of the marriage and stays with the boy forever (Renolds).   After the marriage was arranged a wedding notice was posted on the door of the church. The notice was put up to ensure that there were no grounds for prohibiting the marriage.”

In ‘Juana the Mad of Castille’ J.N.W. Bos writes:

“Queen Juana I of Castile (1479-1555) …. was born on November 6, 1479, as the second daughter of Queen Isabella I of Castile and King Ferdinand II of Aragon.   At the age of 16, Juana was betrothed to Philip the Handsome of Austria (1478-1506), only son of the Emperor Maximilian I.  For Philip the attraction to the beautiful, dark haired Juana (to the left) was carnal and little more, but Juana became totally infatuated with her husband ….. his life mainly consisted of feasting, drinking and chasing women – and he had no intention to change his philandering ways. For Juana, however, only absolute togetherness would do. She was too young and inexperienced to realise that she expected too much from a politically arranged marriage.”

Now, here’s an interesting piece form a ‘historian’ blogger.

This blogger then tries to justify the child marriages by saying that this practice existed only among royals and other elites and not among middle or lower classes, a point already refuted by John McLaughlin.  The blog author writes “Church law forbade child marriage and allowed young brides and grooms to repudiate the marriage once they reached the age of puberty, which was officially set at 12 for girls and 14 for boys.   So, the most common age for a young woman of middle or low status to marry was from the age of 22 years old.”   In the process the author acknowledges that rulers and aristocrats of medieval Europe did not respect the rule of law.  This is what happens when writers try to use a lie as a cover-up …. it simply brings up some other serious contradiction.

Now, marriages of noble and royal women were usually for political and dynastic consideration. So, at what age did a young noblewoman enter into marriage.  In Italy the average age for marriage was 17; in France it is 16 ; and in England and Germany 18 yo was the average age – all for first marriages. (Source: “Medieval Households” by David Herlihy, Harvard University Press, 1985).  However, the following examples are exceptions:

Bianca of Savoy, Duchess of Milan was married aged 13 (1350), and aged 14 when she gave birth to her eldest son, Giangaleazzo (1351).

Theodora Comnena was aged 13 when she was married King Baldwin III of Jerusalem (1158).

Agnes of France was 12 when, widowed, she was married to Andronicus Comnenus, Byzantine Emperor (1182).

St Elizabeth of Portugal was aged 12 when she was married to King Denis of Portugal and gave birth to three children shortly thereafter.

Caterina Sforza was betrothed aged 9, married aged 14, and gave birth aged 15.

Lucrezia Borgia was married to her first husband aged 13 and bore a son within a few years.

Beatrice d’Este was betrothed aged 5 and married aged 15.

            The LiveJournal writes

“When the Austrian-born Archduchess Marie Antoinette was married off at age fourteen to France’s future king — crowned Louis XVI in 1774 — her overriding duty was to give the kingdom an heir.”

And finally, as Wikipedia mentions, tracing the history of marriage in ancient Greece

“For most of European history, marriage was more or less a business agreement between two families who arranged the marriages of their children. Romantic love rarely, and even simple affection was not considered essential.  In fact at some times, too much affection in a marriage was considered a sin.

“In Ancient Greece …. Men usually married when they were in their 20s or 30s  and expected their wives to be in their early teens.

“Married Greek women had few rights in ancient Greek society and were expected to take care of the house and children.

“In the 12th century, aristocrats believed love was incompatible with marriage and seeked romance in adultery.”

The above are just a few examples of the culture of child marriage in Europe.  As we keep rummaging through the history of that region, we come across plenty more.

          27. Child brides as young as 8 (eight) were common among the Byzantine emperors and nobility!

Since it’s a fact that the Bible’s Prophets combined had married thousands of women, and also had thousands of harems.  Based on what objective grounds will you now reject the notion that some of those Prophets did also have young wives and harems as young as 8 years old?  Since marrying very young girls was acceptable and common during their days, and even in the USA in 1880 where the US-State of Delaware’s minimum age for marriage was 7, then based on what objective grounds will you reject that it wasn’t even practiced by Prophets and their followers.

Furthermore, according to the Jewish Talmud, Prophet Moses and his followers had sex with girls as young as 3 years old. Yes, THREE years old.  You read it right.

See how common were the child brides in the Byzantine Empire. This article clearly states; “Child brides, whether Byzantines or foreign princesses, were the norm rather than the exception, especially from the late twelfth century”.

            Roman child marrying Emperors:

Agnes-Anna of France, wife of Alexius II and Andronicus I of the Comneni Dynasty

            Lynda Garland
            University of New England, Australia

            Andrew Stone
            University of Western Australia

The child empress Agnes of France was the spouse of two emperors of Byzantium, the boy emperor Alexius II Comnenus, and subsequentlyAndronicus I Comnenus, the latter’s first cousin once removed.  Agnes was born to King Louis VII of France’s third wife, Adèle (or Alix) of Blois-Champagne, the daughter of Count Theobald II of Blois, in 1172. This made her the younger sister of the future French king Philip II Augustus. The house of Blois-Champagne was the second most powerful magnate house in France (after the house of Plantagenet).  The emperor Manuel I Comnenus was looking for allies in the west, since the Peace of Venice in 1177 had effectively allied the Pope (Alexander III), the Holy Roman Empire, Venice, the other Italian communes and Sicily against him. After discussion with the count of Flanders, Philip of Alsace, who visited Constantinople in early 1178 on his way back from the Holy Land, Manuel sent an embassy, including Philip, to the French court over the winter of 1178-1179 to secure a match between his son Alexius (born in 1169) and the princess Agnes.[[1]] This match may have been opposed by the members of the house of Blois-Champagne, who were pro-German.[[2]]

According to William of Tyre, Agnes was only eight on her arrival at Constantinople, while Alexius was thirteen; in fact Alexius was born on 14 September 1169.[[3]] Child brides, whether Byzantines or foreign princesses, were the norm rather than the exception, especially from the late twelfth century. Irene Ducaena, wife ofAlexius I Comnenus, was twelve at her marriage, and empress before she was fifteen; the Byzantine princess Theodora, Manuel’s niece, was in her thirteenth year when she married Baldwin III of Jerusalem; and Margaret-Maria of Hungary married Isaac II Angelus at the age of nine. Agnes’s age, then, was not unusual, especially as it was customary for young engaged couples in Constantinople to be brought up together in the house of the socially superior partner.[[4]]

Agnes boarded a ship in Genoa under the captaincy of Baldavino Guercio, and on arrival in Constantinople in the Easter of 1179 was greeted with an oration from the ex-Master of the Rhetors, Eustathius, Archbishop of Thessalonica.[[5]] Robert of Clari describes the rich entourage which accompanied Agnes to Constantinople:

Then the king arrayed his sister [sic] very richly and sent her with the messengers to Constantinople, and many of his people with her… When they were come, the emperor did very great honor to the damsel and made great rejoicing over her and her people’.[[6]]

Agnes was received with great festivities, including a fleet of boats colourfully festooned, and her arrival was heralded in a lengthy production of welcoming verses by an anonymous author, in which the description of her attractions reaches an unusual degree of hyperbole with her ‘lively form’ being compared to air and crystal. The verses record how more than seventy ladies of the imperial house came out to greet her, with one sent ahead to attire her appropriately as an Augusta (empress) for the occasion, while Maria Porphyrogenita is shown as paying homage to her new sister-in-law in a tent outside the walls: the arrival of Agnes in the capital and this adoption of Byzantine court costume is illustrated in the manuscript.[[7]] Agnes is described as outshining even her new sister-in-law, who, with her fiancé Béla of Hungary had been Manuel’s heir before the birth of her brother Alexius II, and who had since been offered as a bride to William II of Sicily, John Lackland, the youngest son of Henry II of England, and Henry, the son of Frederick Barbarossa.[[8]] The fact that Maria, who was to be one of the champions of the anti-Latin faction in the city, is shown as doing obeisance to the western-born empress emphasised the superiority of the new Latin princess over her sister-in-law and publicly demonstrated the success ofManuel’s pro-western policy.[[9]]

Manuel’s two surviving children were to celebrate a double wedding. Maria was to marry Renier, the son of William the Old of Montferrat (in north-western Italy), who was considerably younger than herself, and Renier was granted the title Caesar and assumed the name John.[[10]] At the same time, the young prince Alexius was to marry Agnes, though a further wedding ceremony at a later date may have been envisaged, as Agnes is invariably called Alexius’bride, not his wife, in the sources. The ceremonies took place in the palace on 2 March 1180, and were conducted by the patriarch Theodosius. Agnes now took the official name of Anna. The wedding banquet was spectacularly conducted in the Hippodrome, and once again, Eustathius produced a speech to celebrate the occasion,[[11]] describing the way in which the starting stalls were converted to kitchens and the poor were able to help themselves to the leftovers.

The lavishness of the entertainment was obviously intended not only to win the approval of the inhabitants of the city, but also to dazzle westerners with Byzantine magnificence and sophistication:

‘any attempt to describe in detail all the wonders of those days would be utterly futile … the games of the circus which the inhabitants of Constantinople call hippodromes, and the glorious spectacles of varied nature shown to the people with great pomp during the days of the celebration; the imperial magnificence of the vestments and the royal robes adorned with a profusion of precious stones and pearls of great weight; the vast amount of massive gold and silver furniture in the palace, of untold value … the valuable draperies adorning the royal abode … the numerous servants and members of the court, the magnificence of the nuptial splendour, and the generous gifts which the emperor lavished on both his own people and on strangers.'[[12]]

We hear little of Agnes during Alexius’reign (24 September 1180 to prior to 24 September 1183). It is highly unlikely that the match was consummated, as it was customary to import imperial brides from overseas at a young age to enable them to become acquainted with Greek and with their future ceremonial duties; certainly it was unusual under normal circumstances for Byzantine girls to marry before the age of twelve. However, shortly beforeAlexius completed three years as emperor, Manuel’s first cousinAndronicus made himself co-emperor and then usurped Alexius’s position altogether, putting him out of the way by having him throttled. Nicetas Choniates then, with morbid relish, claims that Andronicus (who was born c. 1118 and was thus about 65 years of age) sexually exploited the eleven-year old princess.[[13]] Despite the fact that his marriage to Anna, some fifty years his junior, may well have been made for political reasons — andAndronicus had portraits of Mary of Antioch in the capital replaced with ones of himself either alone or accompanied by his child-bride[[14]]– Choniates makes the most of the opportunity to ridicule Andronicus, his age and the incongruity of the alliance (‘the overripe suitor embracing the unripe maiden, the dotard the damsel with pointed breasts, the shriveled and languid old man the rosy-fingered girl dripping with the dew of love’).[[15]] According to Eustathius of Thessalonica as well, the match was repugnant to her, as she regretted Alexius’ death and loathed Andronicus:[[16]]   She was the young daughter of the king of France, and as everybody knew hated the union because she was full of intelligence; and after having experienced a different kind of gentle loving, she loathed the roughness of Andronicus. Sometimes, they say, she would imagine in her dreams that she saw the young Alexius, and would cry out his name, and she alone knew what she suffered.

Andronicus had previously indulged in many amorous and romantic adventures (with Manuel’s niece, Eudocia, daughter of Manuel’s brother Andronicus; with another niece, Theodora, daughter of Manuel’s brother Isaac and widow of Baldwin III of Jerusalem; and with Philippa of Antioch, Manuel’s sister-in-law). As emperor, despite his young bride, he openly consorted with prostitutes and concubines, both in and out of doors, and Choniates informs us thatAndronicus sought to attain both ‘the sexual prowess of the cuttlefish’, and that of Heracles with the fifty-one daughters of Thyestes, resorting to ointments and other aphrodisiac aids, such as regularly eating an (extremely repugnant) animal similar to the crocodile, for this purpose.[[17]]

Nevertheless, Agnes’ attitude towardsAndronicus may have changed over the following two years. When he was in turn ousted by Isaac II Angelus (12 September 1185), and fled for his life in a boat towards the direction of Russia, he took both Agnes, and the prostitute Maraptike of whom he was rapturously enamoured, with him, along with a few attendants.[[18]] However, contrary winds thwarted his plans to escape, and he was brought back with Agnes and Maraptike to Constantinople. In an attempt to persuade his captors on board ship to release him, he sang a pathetic lament about his past life and present calamity, in which the women joined, cleverly responding in song to his lamentations.[[19]] However, his efforts were in vain and he suffered a particularly horrible death in the Hippodrome.

We hear nothing of Agnes’ life subsequent to the death of Andronicusin Byzantine sources. However, nearly twenty years later, in 1203, Robert of Clari states that the leaders of the Fourth Crusade found her living in a palace married to a ‘high man of the city’, Theodore Branas, who is first heard of in 1189 as commander of the Alans (Georgian mercenaries) against Frederick Barbarossa’s Germans.[[20]]The Branas family was related to the Comneni and Angeli, and had produced prominent military commanders from the eleventh century. Theodore’s mother was one of the daughters ofManuel’s sister Eudocia and Theodore Vatatzes, and thus a cousin of Alexius II. Theodore’s father, Alexius Branas, who had prevented the Normans from moving against Constantinople in 1185, had revolted against Isaac II Angelusshortly afterwards, perhaps in 1187. Alexius’ head was cut off and brought to Isaac in triumph, and Choniates praises the restraint of the widow when shown the severed head and remarks thatManuel had praised her as the ‘flower of his family’. Theodore thereupon inherited his father’s opposition toIsaac II and was to support Alexius III Angelus’ successful rebellion against his brother Isaac in 1195.[[21]]Theodore was then to be employed byAlexius III against the Turks and in 1199 was governor of Kouperion.[[22]]

It is unclear when Agnes married Branas, but a dowager empress was a valuable prize and presumably the match took place at the instigation ofIsaac II to attempt to ensure the loyalty of the Branas family to the current regime. Agnes received the barons of the Fourth Crusade as befitted a Byzantine empress — with bad grace, according to Robert, and would talk only through an interpreter, pretending that she knew no French.[[23]] She was now over thirty years of age and had, after all, spent most of her life in the Byzantine capital and at the Byzantine court. During the sack of the city she was to shelter in the palace of Boucoleon along with the ex-empress Margaret-Maria of Hungary and several other imperial women.[[24]] According to Geoffrey of Villehardouin, however, Agnes’ husband was the ‘only’ Greek who sided with the crusaders, and he was well repaid by them for his support. As a vassal of the Latin Empire, he was made lord of Didymoteichon and Adrianople in Thrace, where Agnes apparently accompanied him.[[25]]According to Aubry de Trois-Fontaines (s.v. AD 1205), she had a daughter who married Narjand de Toucy, cousin of Guy de Dampierre. Agnes thereupon disappears from history but the Branas family, including several notable Theodores, continued to accumulate vast estates and intermarry with other noble families, including the Palaeologue dynasty.

Iran’s Shia Regime’s Complete Destabilization And Takeover Of The Middle East Along With The Zionist Nation (Greater Israel/Majoos Empire) And The Start Of Shia Mahdi’s (Dajjal) Homecoming, Begun!??

Let’s see the “Iran Action Network,” Iran’s long-term foreign policy goals and how they destabilize the region, and current trends, and offer recommendations on how to counter one of Middle East’s most pressing national security
          challenges.

          Introduction –
World powers policy toward Iran has focused mainly on addressing the nuclear challenge, but it has overlooked the threat posed by Iran’s global revolutionary/Wilayat al-Faqih and Terrorism network. The World powers nuclear strategy, which is based on the dual pillars of sanctions and diplomacy, is realistically grounded, well-resourced, and run about as effectively as can be expected. However, Iran’s nuclear program is just the tip of a revolutionary and Terrorism spear that extends across the world and threatens key Arab and Western interests. Iran’s foreign policy is subversive, sectarian, and set on goals that would come at the expense of Arab and Western interest in the region.

For more than three decades, Iran has sought to preserve the diabolical Shia Islamic revolution at home and promote it abroad with deception and death grip, through a network of government and nongovernment organizations as the Iran Action Network (IAN). The members of that network are involved in crafting and
implementing the covert elements of Iran’s foreign policy agenda, from terrorism, political, economic and social subversion; to illicit finance, weapons and narcotics trafficking; and nuclear procurement and proliferation.

          The Iran Action Network –
Iran relies primarily on three organizations to coordinate and oversee IAN activities:
          • The Qods Force, an elite branch of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, responsible for irregular warfare and asymmetric operations, including a wide range of subversive activities from non-violent cultural and business fronts to direct support to political resistance organizations and violent opposition groups.
          • The Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) is Iran’s primary civilian intelligence agency. It has the lead role in foreign intelligence collection and several covert action programs, both at home and abroad. It works closely with all of Iran’s closest proxies in the region and second only to the Qods Force in Iran’s global efforts to export the diabolical Shia Islamic Revolution/Wilayat al-Faqih.
          • Lebanese Hezbollah has been Iran’s strongest non-state ally since its Shianical inception in 1982.
While Hezbollah’s role in projecting Iranian power has traditionally been tied to the goals of fake-fighting Israel and fake-protecting Lebanon, it remains a key element in fighting on the front lines in Syria, alongside Bashar’s Alawites, Basijs, Shia mercenaries and militias, Qods Force advisors and trainers and Syrian army units.

In short, the IAN is Iran’s “whole-of-government” approach to preserving the regime at home and coordinating and promoting the diabolical Shia revolution internationally. Its actions encompass a remarkable array of covert action, including covert influence operations, sanctions evasion, terrorism, training and
equipping Shia and Khawarij militants, and other so-called “resistance activities.”

Iran reached a nuclear deal that will bring its economy back online. A revived economy is precisely what Iran needs to jump start operations in the Levant, Yemen, Afghanistan, and across the region, that have slowed down significantly due to shrinking operational budgets.

Even in an environment of fiscal austerity, Iran continues to pursue a foreign policy agenda that has
destabilizing effects on the region, to include the following:
          • West Bank and Gaza: Iran continues to provide arms, funds, intelligence, and training to Brotherhood Palestinian (Iran proxy) groups, most notably, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
          • Lebanon: Iran’s closest non-state ally is Lebanese Hezbollah, long considered one of the world’s most dangerous terrorist organizations.
Iranian force projection around the world depends on Hezbollah operatives and networks, from the front lines in Syria to criminal safe
          havens in West Africa.
          • Syria: Iran’s military intervention in Syria turned the tide of the war and prevented the collapse of the Assad regime. By siding with Assad, Iran has inflamed sectarian divisions
across the region and surrounding countries.
          • Iraq: Iran has sought to ensure that either Maliki or other pro-Iran Shiite politicians remain in control of Iraq. To massacre and take over Sunni areas, Iran is expanding Shia militia
groups such as Kata’ib Hezbollah and Asaib Ahl al-Haq that operate under Iran’s direction beyond the control of the Iraqi government.
          • Bahrain: Iran continues to support Bahraini Shiite dissident groups that seek to overthrow the Bahraini government and replace it with a Shia Islamic republic similar to Iran. Bahraini security officials continue to see signs of Iranian support to local IED attacks.
          • Saudi Arabia: Hezbollah of the Hejaz carried out attacks in Saudi Arabia, including the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Dhahran. Iran continues to stir up Shia dissident groups in eastern Saudi Arabia, and Saudi leaders generally recognize Iran as a subversive force in Syria, Lebanon, and on Saudi borders in Yemen.
          • Yemen: Iran has supplied arms, funds, and probably intelligence to Houthi rebels. Along with Sudan, Yemen has become the center of Iran’s regional platform for covert arms production and distribution. African ports, increasingly seen as effective transshipment point by transnational crime organizations, serve Iran’s objectives elsewhere in the region.
          • Afghanistan: Iran has consistently balanced its support for the government in Kabul with
material and financial support to the pro-Iranian assets and Network. IAN-controlled networks on both sides of the Iran-Afghan border facilitate the illegal flow of men, money, arms, and material.

          Current Trends –
First, a nuclear agreement which Iran received will give a much-needed boost to the Iranian economy. By most accounts, Iran stands to gain access to nearly $100 billion dollars frozen in foreign banks, as well as
billions more as oil export restrictions are lifted. At the same time, several EU countries appear poised to return to Iranian markets, adding billions of dollars more in potential foreign direct investment and trade. All of this will provide the leaders of the IAN with the resources they need to
gradually return to previous levels of operational activity. It means funding proxies that were either cut off or cut back due to sanctions; reassessing the ongoing closure or downsizing of Iranian embassies in non-traditional areas such as Latin America; expanding joint military training and security programs in Africa; and increasing funding for Hamas, PIJ, and the new Palestinian coalition
          government.

Second, several countries in the Gulf should expect to see a resumption of covert activity, including training, weapons, and non-lethal support to local proxies, especially in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia, where Iran has a history of supporting Shia opposition movements. The GCC countries will also have to confront the growing threats posed by Iran in the area of Computer Network Exploitation operations. Iranian hackers employed primarily by the MOIS target the computer systems of U.S. and Gulf personnel, companies, and government facilities. Iran has treated past
Stuxnet attacks on centrifuges at Natanz as a declaration of cyber war, and is now responding in kind.

Third, IRGC Qods Force commander Qasem Soleimani will find ways of increasing military support to the Assad regime. Keeping Bashar in power will remain a strategic priority, mainly because it strengthens Iran’s relationship with its most important partner in the region, Lebanese Hezbollah, but also because in Iran’s eyes there is no alternative. Soleimani will also be focused on countering the growth of Sunni revolution against oppressive Shia government in Iraq, which has reached levels of protests and killings unseen since 2007. He will probably offer to increase current initiatives that arm, train, and fund new and existing pro-Iranian Shia militants in Iraq. Soleimani has more say over what Iran does in Syria and Iraq than puppet Iranian President Rouhani, enjoying the full support of the Supreme Leader. His number one priority will remain building an arc of influence and power across the Levant, often referred to as Iran’s “Shia crescent.”

Fourth, there are few signs that a nuclear Iran will increase the chances of a near-term nuclear arms race in the Middle East. U.S.-GCC bilateral security relationships have evolved for more than 25 years. Any strategic shift away from the West would take years given the depth of the commitments involved. GCC countries are rightfully more concerned about Iran’s attempts to exploit the very real issues of (Shia sponsored) extremism, Sectarianism, demographic pressures, and other internal sources of instability that each Gulf state is trying to address on its own.

Fifth, Iran has gone to considerable lengths to create a global shadow apparatus designed to evade sanctions. It enables the Iranian government to support Islamic movements and pro-Iran militants around the world and spread the value of the “resistance” via cultural, social, economic, political, and business entities and organizations. That apparatus goes hand in hand with the asymmetrical nature of almost everything Iran does. The international community needs to develop a better understanding of this apparatus for several reasons, but largely because it is directly linked to some of Iran’s most destabilizing activities.

Sixth, as the nuclear deal did not halt Iran’s ballistic missile program completely, (The deal struck Tuesday dictates that a U.N. conventional arms embargo on Tehran would be lifted within five years, though it could end earlier depending on how quickly Iran complies with other tenets of the agreement. Import restrictions on ballistic missile technology Iran’s armed forces so dearly love and which make its neighbors increasingly nervous could lift within eight years – Written In Sand), Iran will continue to develop long-range ballistic missiles can strike any target in the GCC and add further to its arsenal of short-range artillery rockets that can strike coastal areas across the Gulf. Iran will attempt to improve the accuracy of its missiles and rockets, and pursue the indigenous production of UCAVs, cruise missiles, and possibly even nuclear warheads.

          The Way Forward –
Even after the nuclear agreement was reached with Iran, the activities of the IAN will continue to pose significant obstacles to Iran’s diplomatic outreach to the Gulf and the West. In some cases, lethal support to Shia opposition groups across the region also threatens both Sunni Countries and international security.
To address these threats, policymakers should consider the following recommendations:
          • Coordinate Efforts Against Networks. The policymakers should call for an interagency and international task force for developing and deploying a comprehensive and global campaign against the operational and strategic depth of the IAN. Such a task force would target the illicit networks and operatives associated with the Iran Threat Network, including its financial, business, and logistical support networks. The goal should be a counter network disruption campaign, modeled where appropriate, on previous successful whole-of-government initiatives against defiant state actors that combine overt and covert action, law enforcement, sanctions, and containment.
          • Refine and Expand Soft War Initiatives. The Supreme Leader repeatedly refers to the Nato-led “soft war” as the single biggest threat to the existence of the Shia Islamic Republic.
An effective soft war should expose and neutralize the state and non-state actors involved in subversive activities that are instrumental in marketing the Islamic Revolution overseas. At the very least, this should include Qods Force, MOIS, and Hezbollah operations and criminal activities. Of equal importance are Iran’s non-official cover organizations – religious, cultural, and charitable – as well as businesses that effectively blur the lines between overt and covert activity.
          • Focus Efforts on Transnational Organized Crime. In addition to being one of the world’s most formidable terrorist and paramilitary organizations, Hezbollah has become involved in a global criminal enterprise involving money laundering, racketeering, and drug trafficking.
Indicting Hezbollah as a transnational criminal organization would dispel its image as an elite and “pure” resistance organization. They should approach and counter Hezbollah from the vantage point of strategic law enforcement, financial sanctions, and even the International Court of Criminal Justice (for its long record of global terrorism, for its involvement in the assassination of a democratically elected head of state, and possibly even for war crimes being perpetrated in Syria).
          • Developing Non-Military Policy Options. At any given time, dozens of government agencies are pursuing the same elements of the IAN. To improve the way multiple agencies work against the IAN, the government has to be better organized. In relatively new and developing areas such as Counter Threat Finance, it would go a long way to work from an
agreed-upon “financial order of battle” that maps key networks on a transnational scale (e.g., banks, exchange houses, front companies, trade-based money laundering, shipping companies, etc.). In doing so, government agencies should draw assiduously on partner country liaison services as part of a global effort to build a coalition of like-minded states.

An order of battle would generate a series of non-military or military-enabled policy options that could serve as the basis of a strategic intelligence and law enforcement campaign – not just a series of strikes.
          • Focus on Counter Threat Facilitation. As long as Iran has an agenda of creating new centers of power in the world and doing so at the expense of the Sunni Countries it behooves the Sunnis to consider a law enforcement-led “Counter Threat Facilitation” initiative. Such an initiative should emphasize strategically planned law enforcement operations to expose illicit networks, arrest their perpetrators, freeze assets and attack the IAN’s crime-terror pipelines though the international trade and banking system. It could go a long way in weakening the illicit financial networks around the world that buttress Iran’s strategic foundations,
revolutionary resolve, domestic staying power, and power projection capabilities.
          • Create Offices of Irregular Warfare. As sanctions are eased, the  government will need to find other ways of identifying and disrupting Iran’s involvement in nuclear proliferation, terrorism, and other threats to international security. If sanctions and military options make way for other policy options, the West will have a much more difficult time
identifying and countering many of the IAN’s illicit activities, which tend to be irregular or asymmetric in nature. Creating offices of irregular warfare in various government agencies would go a long way toward exposing and damaging the criminal foundations of the IAN.
While irregular warfare is usually the domain of the military, several operationally robust and aggressive non-kinetic initiatives should be considered. In the area of Information Operations, for example, covert influence authorities “with teeth” are necessary to more effectively bolster Iranian moderates in Iran and to undermine Iran’s message to audiences in Africa, Central Asia, and across the Middle East. In the still developing area of Counter Threat Finance, the Treasury Department should be put on a financial and economic warfare footing, or better integrated with interagency partners who possess the needed level of financial operational authorities and capabilities. Treasury needs to be more involved in financial operations, particularly overseas, where there are significant gaps of understanding in the areas of international banking and finance. Finally, the West cannot do it alone. The IAN has grown increasingly transnational, making it critical to have the support of foreign liaison partners who have the ability to hit Iran’s threat facilitation networks (transport, shipping agents, freight forwarders, warehouses, pilots, airlines, etc.). Properly incentivizing our partners to conduct higher impact operations against the IAN depends on creativity, money, and persistence. The Rewards for Justice Program, or a version thereof, should offer payouts to exceptional foreign government officials or units who successfully assist Western
          government initiatives.

          Conclusion –
Even with a nuclear deal, the strategic calculus of the Supreme Leader and much of the ruling conservative establishment will be the same as it was when the diabolical Shia Islamic Revolution began: preserve the regime at home and deter threats from abroad, while externalizing the revolution and resistance.
The IAN is the engine of the regime and will resume Iran’s pursuit of broader goals in the region.
Look for a return to past levels of activity by elements of the IAN, including units of the Qods Force,
whose budgets have been cut back as a result of Iran’s economic downturn. This means more operations in Syria, where Iran will continue to work closely with the Bashar regime and Iran-trained, equipped, and guided militant networks; further attempts to support Shia activism in Bahrain, where Iran has attempted several times to create the conditions for regime change; continued use of Iraq as a transit point for illicit commerce coming from the Gulf, and the movement of men, money, arms, and illicit materiel across the Levant; deeper support to Hezbollah and the newly-formed Palestinian coalition government; and likely increases in training, weapons, and funding to the Houthi rebels in Yemen and pariah states such as the Sudan.
GCC countries will continue to harbor deep suspicion and distrust toward Iran, well aware of Iran’s unrelenting efforts to create internal dissent and destabilization through support to local Shia opposition movements. Still, they will refrain from pursuing their own nuclear programs (other than the UAE) and continue to rely instead on strong bilateral security partnerships with the West. For its part, Iran will push Hezbollah to do some of its more complicated bidding in Sunni Arab countries, which Hezbollah was created for. Finally, the peaceful intentions of a nuclear Iran will take decades to validate. Until that happens, expect more denial, deception, lies, hypocrisy, false propaganda, treachery, sectarian wars, hot-air rhetoric’s, Expansionist maneuvers and takeovers, exporting, supporting, arming, and funding Terrorism, spreading Shiism, its diabolical ideologies and Wilayat al-Faqih, and dissimulation from the IAN.

Expansionist, Sectarian, and Zionist Rafzi Regime of Iran: Middle East Takeover

Halting the ambitions of Iran’s ayatollahs is a far greater challenge which is not being addressed. On the contrary, Iran has been afforded an aura of respectability by U.S. efforts at détente once differences over the Iranian nuclear program have been bridged. The fact that Iran is one of the biggest sponsors of terror hasn’t figured in the U.S. equation.

What are those ambitions? There is no need to speculate, the answer is known beyond a shadow of a doubt. Iran is out to export its brand of Shiite ideology to as many regional states as possible, either directly or indirectly with the use of proxies, with the goal of replacing Sunni governments with Shiite regimes.

But while all eyes were on Israel’s devastation of Gaza and the horrors perpetrated by the ‘Islamic State’, Tehran, arguably a far greater menace to the security of the Middle East and the Gulf, is quietly achieving its hegemonic goals, unimpeded and unnoticed.

The message is clear. I can only hope they will hear the words coming right out of the horse’s mouth, spoken by Alireza Zakani, an Iranian lawmaker and confidant of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In short, he exposed the mullahs’ box of tricks during a recent parliamentary speech. Iran is currently going through a stage during its “Great Jihad” that requires a particular strategy and a cautious approach, he said while boasting that “Three Arab capitals and now in Iran’s hands and affiliated to the Iranian Islamic Revolution,” adding that the Yemeni capital Sanaa is well on its way to becoming the fourth with at least fourteen out of twenty Yemeni Provinces coming under Houthi control. He didn’t name those Arab capitals but I assume he’s referring to Damascus (Shiite Allawite regime), Beirut (under the sway of the Shiite militant organization Hezbollah) and Baghdad, whose constitution ensures the Prime Minister must be drawn from the Shiite community. And, yes, Yemen — a country considered the birthplace of the Arab nation — has fallen into the hands of Shiite Houthis, former separatists turned terrorists no longer content with striving for part of the cake, they now seek to consume all of it.

Due to the hesitance of our governments to stand alongside the Yemeni government against these terrorist Iranian puppets, we’ve enabled their aspirations. Yemen’s President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi has been coerced by their violent seizure of much of the capital into signing a deal with the Shiite rebels resulting in Houthis being appointed as political advisors as well as other concessions. Hadi has described the deal as “historic.” I call it a disastrous error of judgment reluctantly agreed to by a man with his back up against the wall. A stroke of his pen has made him complicit in this crime. He has sold his country to Iran for the price of quiet but instead of honoring their pledge to withdraw from Sanaa, the Houthis are demanding even greater concessions.

No wonder Alireza Zakani is self-satisfied! Before the Islamic Revolution there were two main components to the U.S. axis in the region — Saudi Islam and Turkish secularism — he notes. Now, he says the political balance has altered to benefit Iran. “Today we are at the peak of our strength and able to impose our will and strategic interests throughout the region,” he said, claiming that Iran was responsible for keeping the Assad regime in power and saving Baghdad from the ‘Islamic State.’ In truth, Iran is destabilizing and divisive and through Hezbollah has paralyzed Lebanon.

The Iranian plot doesn’t end with Yemen. “Certainly, the Yemeni revolution will not be confined to Yemen alone,” says Zakani. “After its success, it will reach the territory of Saudi Arabia, given the long Yemeni-Saudi border.”

GCC States from Saudi to Oman are surrounded on all sides by hostile Shiites under Tehran’s sway, whether Iranian, Iraqi or Houthis, but instead of acting to shore up our defense, we are patting Houthi terrorists on the back, turning a blind eye to Hezbollah’s crimes and hugging Iranian officials.

Riyadh’s war in Yemen marks a dramatic escalation in its efforts to roll back Iran’s rising influence in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia portrays its Yemen campaign simply as a battle of “good” Arabs and Sunnis supporting Yemen’s legitimate government against “evil” Iranians trying to overthrow it via local Shi’a “proxies”.

“Backed by Iran, Shiite militias are rampaging through Iraq. Backed by Iran, Houthis are seizing Yemen, threatening the strategic straits at the mouth of the Red Sea…Iran is busy gobbling up the Middle East.”

“We are, of course, worried about atomic energy and atomic bombs. But we’re equally concerned about nature of action and hegemonistic tendencies that Iran has in the region. These elements are the elements of instability in the region. We see Iran involved in Syria and Lebanon and Yemen and Iraq…Iran is taking over [Iraq]… It promotes terrorism and occupies lands. These are not the features of countries which want peace and seek to improve relations with neighboring countries.”

The senior Yemeni Houthi extremist was buried in Beirut. Mohammed Abdel Malik al-Shami, the spiritual leader of the Houthis, had been critically wounded in the March 20 Islamic State suicide bombing of Al Hashahush mosque in Sanaa. He was airlifted to Tehran for medical treatment, but eventually succumbed to his injuries. On April 13, Shami was interred at Hezbollah’s heroes graveyard in Dahyia, where he will spend eternity in the company of erstwhile military commander Imad Mugniy3h and Hadi Nasrallah, the slain son of the organization’s secretary general.

At first glance, Shami’s journey from Yemen to the Lebanese Shiite militia’s equivalent of Arlington National Cemetery would seem odd. While the Houthis are Zaydi Muslims—a nominally Shiite branch of Islam—Lebanon is far from home and unlike Najaf and Karbala, Iraq, Beirut has little religious burial appeal for Shiites. But to Hezbollah and Iran, Shami was a towering figure, deserving in death of a spot among the pantheon of Shiite martyrs serving the theocratic regime in Tehran.

Shami’s life and death highlight the ongoing challenge posed by the aggressive and destabilizing regional posture of Iran.

In many ways, Shami’s story is the archetype for Iranian-style regional “resistance.” It all started seventeen years ago when Shami moved to Syria to study at one of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khameini’s religious schools. On his return to Yemen, he joined Ansar Allah, the Houthi militia, eventually rising to prominence as the Houthi leader’s special envoy to Iran, Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq.

According to press reports, Shami’s mission was to proselytize with an eye toward establishing a Shiite state in Yemen. To this end, he established a university of Shiite jurisprudence in Sanaa, and special Shiite elementary schools throughout Yemen affiliated with Lebanon’s Mustafa schools. The Lebanese schools were founded in 1974 by Naim Qassem, Hezbollah’s current deputy secretary general.

But Shami and the Houthis’ ties with Hezbollah and Iran extended well beyond education. Although Zaydis, who comprise about 35 percent of Yemenis, are quite different from Shiites—many scholars say they are closer to Sunni Muslims in doctrine and practice—the Houthis identify closely with, and openly declare their allegiance to the clerical establishment in Iran. Houthis call their philosophy “pure Shia,” and the group’s clerics have compared their leader Hussein al-Houthi to Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah.

In 2009, the Houthis launched an offensive against Saudi Arabia, seizing a parcel of the kingdom’s territory. At the time, press reports—and Yemeni officials—indicated that “high ranking officials” from Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps and Hezbollah advisers were helping the Houthis coordinate military operations. Then-CENTCOM Commander Gen. David Petreaus also suggested an Iranian role in the conflict.

However, the Obama administration was reluctant to condemn the increasingly apparent and pernicious role of Iran and Hezbollah in Yemen. Amidst tense nuclear negotiations with Tehran, the White House was hesitant to underscore Tehran’s destabilizing initiatives around the region. Gen. James Mattis, who headed CENTCOM from 2010-2013, reportedly advocated for a more robust U.S. strategy to counter Iran’s inroads into Yemen, but his views gained little traction.

Now that Iranian assistance has helped the Houthis conquer Sanaa, sack the provisional capital of Aden, and drive the democratically elected Sunni president Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi into exile, the administration has finally started to call out Tehran. On April 14, Gerald Feierstein, a senior official in the State Department’s Near East Bureau testified to Congress that “Iran provides financial support, weapons, training, and intelligence to the Houthis.”

But the administration is doing little to constrain Tehran’s other territorial and political expansion in Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon.

Regrettably, there is sparse evidence to suggest that Tehran will move away from is revolutionary expansionist policies in the coming years. More likely, with all the additional cash available to Iran due to relaxed sanctions, the regime’s regional influence—in the words of Hassan Nasrallah—“will obviously increase.” Should Iran continue along its current trajectory, the swelling of the ranks of martyrs serving Iran’s cause in Hezbollah’s Beirut graveyard will come as little consolation for Washington.

The Houthi insurgents who have run amok in the Yemeni capital Sana’a have been backed with weapons, money, and training by Iran. To what end? Yemen, one of the world’s poorest nations, is no glittering prize for Tehran. Nor does it represent any direct threat to Iran.

But the Houthis have one important thing in common with the Iranian regime: Shi’ism. And if the insurgents manage to extend their hold over Yemen, it will be a poke in the eye to Saudi Arabia, Iran’s main Sunni rival in awidening sectarian rift across the Muslim world.

Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Iran and the Self-Fulfilling Prophecy:

From the moment Houthi rebels swarmed through the Yemeni capital of Sanaa, the neighboring nation of Saudi Arabia called the coup an Iranian power grab.

Saudi suspicions were well founded. The Houthis’ Shiite beliefs and desire for greater influence in the nation mesh perfectly with Iran’s broader ambitions for the Middle East. The situation is similar to Lebanon where Iran props up Hezbollah—a Shiite terrorist proxy in a country where the prime minister and some larger parliamentary groups are Sunni.

But the moment the Saudis announced they were to intercede with airstrikes in an attempt to thwart the apparent power grab, Saudi Arabia appears to have initiated a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Before the Houthi takeover, Iran was intricately involved in laying the groundwork for the coup. It armed and trained Houthi soldiers. It sent some to Lebanon for pilot training, even though the group did not have decent aircraft until very recently. Iran supplied teachers to the Houthi schools, ensuring the transition from a youth movement in 1992 to the radical rebel group we see today. It also supplied financing and even medical treatment.

Iran has been investing so heavily in the Middle East’s most impoverished nation for a reason. It has been plotting to overthrow and eventually control Yemen for years. It had the overthrow, but it still didn’t have the country. The Shiites pushed hard south toward the port city of Aden, but there was still a long fight ahead.

  6. IRAN has SHIITE radicalization centers in over 60 countries exporting it’s Khomeinist revolution, Violent Shiite Ideology and Shiite Terrorism

    http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-FOFUWzWGuw

    http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=I3u68oZf_vY

A new video produced by an Iranian opposition group documents how the Ayatollah’s regime in Tehran has proliferated its Khomeinist revolution into 60 countries, graduating 50,000 Mullahs at its Al Mustafa International University in the past seven years.

The Iranian-American Forum–which in the past has helped expose alleged pro-Tehran groups such as the National Iranian American Council (NIAC)–produced the video, which shows how Iran has been exporting its violent ideology worldwide.

“Al Mustafa [University] was founded by the Iranian regime in 2007. The Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei holds the highest authority in the University,” the video explains.

Al Mustafa has branches throughout the world, and trains “foreign Mullahs who then spread the Iranian regime’s ideology throughout the world,” says the video narrator. “Graduates of al-Mustafa are selected by the Iranian regime to direct religious and cultural centers in many countries. These centers recruit among local populations, thus, are part of the Iranian regime’s influence” operations, the narrator adds.

The video then cuts to a speech that showed the Ayatollah welcoming non-Iranian students and foreign Mullahs to Al Mustafa’s main campus in Qom, Iran, where he encourages them to continue spreading Iran’s ideology throughout the world.

“Since the Islamic Republic was established in Iran in 1979, exporting the Islamic revolution has been a main pillar of this regime,” the narrator explains. “From the earliest years of the revolution, the regime began sending Iranian mullahs to other Islamic countries to propagate its fundamentalist revolutionary ideology. Later, foreign candidates were brought to Iran to be educated, then sent back to their native countries,” he adds.

In 2007, the Islamic Republic merged the fundamentalist organizations under the umbrella of Al Mustafa University, the video explains.

Al Mustafa now has branches all over the world, including much of the West. It even has a branch in London.

Moreover, there are at least 80 Iranian cultural centers throughout the Caribbean and Latin America, according to a recent U.S. Southern Command report.

The video concludes with a stark warning: “This vast network notably in Western countries could also provide the Iranian regime with an extraordinary tool to carry out terrorist activities.”

Iran’s Shocking 50-Year Plot to Rule the Middle East and Beyond

    Author: Iranian Cultural Council

Top Secret Letter From Iranian Cultural Revolutionary Council to Iranian Mayors

If we are not able to export our revolution to neighboring Islamic countries, then undoubtedly the culture of these countries, mixed with Western culture, will attack and conquer us.

Thanks to God and after centuries of brave sacrifice of the nation of the 12 imams in Iran, we are now according to the revered Shia leaders guidance carrying a heavy and dangerous responsibility: that is, the exportation of revolution.

Based on that, we have to admit that our government, besides its mission in keeping the sovereignty of this country and the peoples rights, is an ideological government. We must make the exportation of the revolution one of our top priorities.

But because of the international status quo and international laws as generally agreed upon we cannot export the revolution without facing grave and disastrous consequences.

After three sessions with the semi-consensus of the attendees and committee members, we have implemented a five-year plan, including five stages, each stage lasting 10 years, by which to export our Islamic revolution to neighboring countries with the initial aim of unifying Islam. This is because the danger we are facing from the Sunni rulers and those of Sunni descent is much larger than the danger posed by the East and West because they the Sunnis resist our movement and are the fundamental enemies of the clergys guardianship (Wilayat al-Faqih) and the impeccable imams, to the extent that they consider embracing the Shia sect as a religious sect and as a constitution for the country as a matter contrary to custom and Sharia.

Therefore they are dividing Islam into two opposing branches. Accordingly, we must increase our influence over the Sunni territories inside Iran, and especially in the border towns, and increase the number of mosques and Husseiniat and ceremonies of creed more than before. We must provide the atmosphere in the cities that are inhabited by 90-100% Sunnis until scores of Shia are deported from cities and villages of the interior of the country to live and work in these border towns forever. The nation and governmental circles must provide direct protection to these settlers in order to take over the management of cities and social and cultural centers that have previously been controlled by Sunni citizens.

The plan we drew up to export the revolution in order to avert any reaction from world superpowers will utilize money that will not be spent without benefit.

The way to establish the pillars of the state:

We know that establishing the pillars of each state and sustaining a nation is based on three foundations:

    First: the power possessed by the governing authority;

    Second: the learning and knowledge of the scholars and researchers;

Third: the economy, which is concentrated in the hands of business leaders.

If we can shake the government by inciting conflict between rulers and scholars and disperse capital in these countries and attract capital from their country to ours, we would undoubtedly be very successful because we would cause them to lose these three pillars. Regarding the rest of the people, who form 70-80% of the population of each country, they are just followers of power and influence and they are indulged in their way of life earning their livings and providing themselves with shelter. This is why they defend those in power. In order to get to the roof of a house one must begin by stepping on the first rung of the ladder.

Our Sunni and Wahhabi neighbors are Turkey, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and some of the Emirates to the south at the entrance of the Persian Gulf that appear to be united on the surface, but the facts are different. For this exact region has a huge impact on the past and the present as it is considered the throat of the earth due to the oil in the region. There is no place in the world as delicate as this region, and their rulers, because of the sale of this oil, have the potential for a better life.

The populations of these regions are divided into three sects:

    1) The Bedouin who have been there for hundreds of years.
    2) Those who have immigrated from islands and ports which are considered part of our land today. Their immigration began in the era of Isamal al Safawi and continued through the eras of Nader Shah and Karim Khan Zind and the rulers of the Gajar and Bahlawi families, and there was some dispersed immigration at the beginning of the Islamic Revolution.
    3) Those from other Arab countries and cities of Iran’s interior.

Trade, and the importing and exporting of goods, as well as construction of buildings is generally controlled by non-citizens; people living in the interior make their living by renting buildings and buying and selling land, while the relatives of those with influence live on salaries earned from the selling of oil.

Most of the citizens of those countries are indulging in a socially and culturally corrupt lifestyle and other acts that are openly contrary to Islam. Many of these people are concerned only with purchasing apartments and shares in factories, depositing the capital in Europe and the United States, and especially in Japan, the United Kingdom, Sweden and Switzerland in fear of the future devastation of their countries.

The control of these countries means the control of the world. To implement the prepared 50-year plan we must, at the outset, foster our relations with our neighboring countries. There must be mutual respect, strong relations, and friendship between us to the degree that our relations will improve even after the war with Iraq and Saddam Hussein’s downfall: the fall of 1000 friends is a much easier burden to bear than the fall of one of our enemies. With good cultural, political and economic relations between us, many Iranians will immigrate to those countries and through them we can send agents who are apparently immigrants but who, in reality, are working for our regime. Their jobs will be determined as we enlist them into service by sending them abroad.

The influence of our sect, which is enjoyed to some extent in thses countries and their circles, was not a plan for just one or two days. Do not think that 50 years is a long time. Our revolution needes a plan that lasts 20 years, and our sect must enjoy a certain amount of influence in many countries and circles. At that time we did not have any employees or ministers or deputies or rulers, even the Wahhabis, Shafiieh, Hanabi, Maliki, Hambali groups were considering us as apostates, and some of the followers of these sects killed the Shia repeatedly. It is true that we did not exist at that time, but our grandfathers did, and our lives today are the fruit of their thoughts, opinions and efforts.

Maybe we will not be here in the future, but our revolution and sect will remain. That is enough to be committed to this creed to sacrifice life, bread, and what we hold dear; but it is also important to have a well-studied program. We are committed to making plans not for 50 years, but for 500. We are the inheritors of millions of martyrs who have been killed by the Islamist devils (Sunnis). Their blood flows through history since the time of the death of the Prophet. The blood that has been spilled did not dry, and it will not dry until all Muslims believe in Ali and the Prophet’s family and admit the mistakes of the grandfathers and that Shiism is an ingrained inheritance of Islam.

    Important stages along our way:

In the first stage, we need to spread our creed in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, Palestine, Lebanon and Bahrain. We will make the 10-year plan the first plan in those countries. That is why it is the responsibility of our immigrant who are really agents to carry out the three responsibilities they are charged with:

    1) To buy land, houses, and apartments, find jobs and provide the necessities to the sons of our creed and live in these homes, and to increase their numbers.

    2) To form relations and friendships with business leaders, factory managers, etc., and especially with businessmen, commercial leaders, and famous people and others who enjoy influence in government circles.

    3) In these countries there are scattered villages that are still under construction. There are plans to build scores of villages and small towns where none exist. Agents arriving in the form of immigrants to these countries must buy as many houses in these villages as possible and then sell them at a reasonable price to those who have sold their properties in the city centers. In this way control will be removed from those in densely populated towns and cities.

In the second stage, we must spur the people (Shia) to respect and obey the laws and those who enforce them, as well as government employees; they must obtain official license for their creed and sectarian sermons, building mosques and Husainiat, licenses that will be regarded in the future as official documents. To start businesses and become self-employed they must think of places with a highly dense population to spread their businesses in targeted locations. The person must, in these two stages, seek the nationality of the country he is living in by taking advantage of friends and giving valuable presents; furthermore, they must encourage the youth to work in government sectors and enlist in the military.

In the second half of the 10-year plan we must secretly and indirectly agitate the Sunnis and the Wahhabi scholars against social corruption and those acts in opposition to Islam that prevail in these countries by distributing critical pamphlets from other countries in the name of the religious authorities. Undoubtedly, this will cause the agitation of scores of people in these countries. In the end those religious leaders will be arrested or they will say that what has been written in their names are lies. These pious people will defend those pamphlets rigorously and suspicious acts will take place leading to an edict either to seize their authority or replace them. These acts will result in mistrust between the rulers and the pious in the country; therefore they will not be able to spread religion and build mosques and other religious buildings. The leaders will consider religious sermons rhetoric and celebrations of creed as acts opposed to their regimes. Furthermore, it will increase the grudges and alienations between religious scholars and rulers. Even Sunnis and Wahhabis will lose the protection of their interior centers, and they will not have external protection at all.

In the third stage, when our agents have established good relations with the business leaders, the military and executive powers and are doing their jobs quietly and with good manners and not interfering in religious actions, the result will be that their rulers will be reassured by these people more than previously. When disagreement arises between religious leaders and rulers, our famous scholars from this country will at that moment disclose their loyalty and defend the members of their countries, especially during the sermons of the creed and presents Shiism as a creed that does not pose a threat to religion.

If they can declare that to the people through the media they should not hesitate to attract the attention of the rulers and get their approval so that they will give them good jobs without fear at this stage. Because of this transformation that will take place in our ports and islands and in other cities in the country, and with the funds we will invest, we will implement plans to strike a blow to the economy of neighboring countries. Undoubtedly the business leaders, for the sake of gaining safe profits and economic stability, will send all their funds to our country, and when we make others free in their businesses and the banking funds are in our country, the result will be that their countries will welcome our citizens and give them economic facilities by which to invest.

When we reach the fourth stage, everything will be ready. We have before us countries whose scholars and rulers have disagreements, and whose merchants are about to become bankrupt and are leaving their countries. The people are disturbed and ready to sell their properties at half price in order to be able to leave the country for safer places. In the middle of this chaos, our agents and immigrants will be considered the only protectors of rule and authority. All of our agents by being alert enough will take the most important jobs in the civil, military and government sectors, shrinking the gaps between them and government established rulers. From such a location we are able to easily point to the loyalists in government as traitors.

All of this will result in their downfall and eliminating them to be replaced with our agents. This job has two positive results:

    1) our agents will gain the trust of the rulers to an extent greater than previously; and

    2) the discontent of the Sunnis towards the ruler will increase due to an increase in the Shia in government circles.

Because of this, Sunnis will carry out more acts of resistance, and during this phase our agents must stand by the rulers and call for calm and reconciliation. At the same time, the agents will buy the houses and properties of those about to flee.

At the fifth stage of the plan, the final ten years of the 50 years, the atmosphere will be ready for revolution, because we will have achieved the three elements of security, calm and comfort. The authority will look like a ship amid a typhoon, about to sink. At that time it will accept any suggestions for survival. In this period we will suggest, through famous people, the formation of a popular assembly to calm the situation and aid the rulers in monitoring these circles, as well as keeping discipline in the country. Undoubtedly they will accept this suggestion and our candidates will win the majority of the seats. This will result in the flight of merchants and scholars, and even the loyal servants; thus we can export our Islamic Revolution to many countries without waging wars or shedding blood.

If the plan does not bear fruit and give us power in the last ten years, we could create a popular revolution and strip power from their rulers. Even if apparently our elements “Shiites” are citizens and inhabitants of this country, nevertheless at that time we will be able to say that we fulfilled our responsibility before God and our creed. It is not our target to put one person in control of power. Our target is merely to export the revolution, and by then we can raise the banner of this Godly religion. We will go forward to the world of infidels with more strength and grace the world with the light of Islam and Shiism until the coming of Al Mahdi Al Mawoud.

Dictatorships survive by constantly portraying force and invincibility.
    Once weakness transpires, dictatorships fall.
Khamenei and his generals have failed, there will be no nuclear weapon, there will be no major confrontation with the west, no major confrontation with Israel. They have taken Iran and its people down a miserable path and delivered only more deception.
I will say one thing and will let history prove me right or wrong: the mullahs regime is now over! One only needs to look at the streets of Tehran the past couple of nights to see clearly that it was the Iranian people themselves who led the regime to crack and surrender in Geneva.
The rest is only cheap propaganda…

    1. Lol I will remind you of this prediction. Btw how long before your prediction becomes reality?
