A while ago, the media started reporting about Drake hitting on Mia Khalifa over social media, something which the actress wasn’t very touched by and ended up rejecting him in a bit of a public way, talking about him during an interview and referring to his attempts as “cringeworthy”. And while Drake didn’t immediately respond to the situation, he didn’t really show he was phased by the comment.
In fact, lately it’s been reported that Drake has already managed to find a new girlfriend, as he’s been spotted together with Bernice Burgos. They have reportedly been seen together as Drake was taking a break from Sydney’s Future Music Festival, and were quite obvious in their displays of affection for each other, leaving no doubt that they were indeed together.
Bernice Burgos may not be a very well-known name to many, but some fans of the music industry might recognize her from the video for “Diced Pineapples” by Rick Ross, as well as “Work Out” by J Cole. The actress is also reportedly employed as a dancer at a strip club in New York.
This isn’t the first time we’re seeing a hint of something developing between the two, as previously Drake gave some hints that he might be interested in Burgos, during a track he performed in 2014 – “Odio” – in which he referenced Bernice Burgos.
It’s been over a month since the incident between Drake and Mia Khalifa, and while the news went silent on the issue shortly after it occurred, many were expecting Drake to come out with angry words after Khalifa made his approach public. Judging by the fact that he didn’t do that, it’s clear that he either wasn’t too seriously interested in Khalifa in the first place, or didn’t see her attack on his personality as anything serious.
In any case, it’s not clearhow long Drake and Burgos are going to be together, as the relationship between the two might be only temporary. Drake is apparently a guy who enjoys the occasional short-term relationship, and it could be that the two are just looking for some fun time together. On the other hand, Mia Khalifa has not responded to the latest rumors about the new couple, although she obviously wasn’t interested in Drake in any way from the very beginning, so it’s expected that she might not have a lot to say. Plus, it’s not like Mia Khalifa of all people can complain about a lack of attention from the opposite gender, so she has likely forgotten about the incident already, or is simply following the story without any real interest.
