Why Nasrallah chose Shiite Ashura to reach out to Lebanon’s Sunnis

With sectarian tensions soaring across the Middle East, Hezbollah’s leader has used the Shi‘ite commemoration of Ashura to deliver a message of conciliation to the nation’s Sunnis—and a word of caution to his fellow Shi‘ites.

On Tuesday, hundreds of thousands of Lebanese Shi‘ites marked the religious occasion amid unprecedented security. Ashura, the most significant date in the Shi‘ite religious calendar, often serves as a powerful and overt motif of communal identity, replete with flags, banners, and rhythmic chanting to commemorate the death of a revered Shi‘ite figure.

Yet with Hezbollah battling Sunni extremists in Syria, and an uptick in Sunni militant attacks on Shi‘ite areas of Lebanon, the militant Shi‘ite movement this year asked followers to tone down some of their commemorative activities in religiously mixed neighborhoods in order to prevent provoking Sunnis.

And on Monday, the eve of Ashura, Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah’s leader, delivered some warm—and rare—praise for his Sunni political rivals in Lebanon. He hailed the stance of Sunni leaders who had rejected the actions of Sunni militants that recently fought the Lebanese Army in the northern city of Tripoli, saying they had saved the country from a “big disaster.”

“We might have different viewpoints on the regional affairs, and things might reach the extent of rivalry and animosity, but our morals oblige us to take the right and patriotic stance and thank them and appreciate them despite our differences,” Nasrallah said in a rare public appearance.

Ashura commemorates the death in battle of Imam Hussein, grandson of the Prophet Muhammad and a revered figure among Shi‘ites, at Karbala in modern-day Iraq in 680. The ceremony, which gathers together tens of thousands of mourners, makes it a tempting target for extremist Sunnis.

The price of intervening in Syria
In the eyes of most Sunnis across the Middle East, Hezbollah’s intervention into the Syrian conflict has changed its traditional reputation as a champion of anti-Israel resistance. In 2006, after Hezbollah fought the Israeli army to a standstill in southern Lebanon, Nasrallah topped popularity polls in the Arab world. Eight years on, many Sunnis view Hezbollah as a sectarian militia that is defending a Syrian regime dominated by Alawites, a Shi‘ite splinter sect, and backed by Iran.

That Sunni hostility has undermined what Hezbollah sees as its long-standing efforts to promote intra-Muslim unity in order to confront Israel and Western ambitions toward the Middle East.

In his speech Monday, Nasrallah said the conflicts ravaging Syria and Iraq are not sectarian in nature but political, citing examples of battles between rival Sunni factions in the Syrian opposition and the exodus of Christians from Iraq.

“There is an error in diagnosing the nature of the conflict in the region, which is not a Sunni-Shi‘ite conflict,” Nasrallah said. “We, the Shi‘ites, should not be dealing with this conflict as being sectarian. Our battle is not with the Sunnis, but with American hegemony, Israeli schemes, and Takfiris.”

Takfiris are extremist Sunnis who view as apostates all those that do not adhere to their strict version of Islam.

After the toned down commemorations during the nine-day period leading up to Ashura, hundreds of thousands of Shi‘ites dressed in black took to the streets in the southern suburbs of Beirut, a Shi‘ite majority area. Their display was not only of religious observance but also of defiance against the threat of suicide bombers from extremist groups like Islamic State.

Common cause with Yazidis
“What is happening now in Iraq with the Yazidis whose men are being slaughtered and whose women are being sold into slavery by Daesh [Islamic State] is what we have been living with for 1,400 years,” said Hussein, a New York-based Lebanese Shi‘ite attending today’s ritual. “This is what happened to the men and their families at Karbala.”

Iraq’s Yazidis, a Kurdish community that follows an ancient religion that includes some tenets of Christianity and Islam, are being persecuted by IS jihadists who view them as devil worshippers. The United Nations said last month that IS had murdered and enslaved Yazidis in northwest Iraq.

The center of the Ashura commemoration Tuesday was on Hadi Nasrallah Avenue, named after the son of the Hezbollah leader who was killed in 1997 fighting Israeli troops in south Lebanon.

On the roofs of tower blocks overlooking the avenue and side streets, Hezbollah observers and snipers scanned the crowd looking for potential threats. Shi‘ites have been at the receiving end of suicide car bombings, rocket barrages, and roadside bombs over the past 18 months.

Sources close to Hezbollah said the party also had rapid reaction teams on standby to deploy in the event of trouble and even flew some of their pilotless reconnaissance drones over southern Beirut. But the din of the mourning crowds drowning out the distinctive high-pitched whine of their engines. The entrances to southern Beirut were guarded by multiple checkpoints, some manned by the Lebanese Army and others by militants from Hezbollah and the Amal Movement, a rival Shi‘ite political party.

“Are you sure you are not Daesh?” joked a burly Amal militant dressed in a black uniform as he inspected a reporter’s press card and made a throat-cutting gesture with the edge of his hand.

Some of the mourners disguised their apprehension by making jokes about the possibility of IS infiltrating the crowds. But most mourners, some sitting on plastic sheets on the road, ignored the light rain and listened intently to a traditional oration over the loudspeakers in which a sheikh recounts the battle of Karbala in painstaking detail.

As the sheikh reaches the climax of the story and the moment of Imam Hussein’s death, he chokes and weeps, pausing before continuing in a shaky voice. On the street, some men openly sob.

Once the oration is ended, the crowds take to their feet and march, slapping their chests rhythmically and chanting salutations to Imam Hussein.

      I wonder, do they bleach the streets after???

    Oh my …. It’s the same as Christianity. The same stories every year. And as we can see, wonderfully felt by some of the ‘human’ tribes.
    Since Christianilty came along before it, but it came after Mohamadism, yet Shiism is a variation on, I assume it’s always a need to ‘revere’ the deaths of men we humans admired greatly, with passages of time changing the ‘main characters’ of the ‘stories’ humans want to hear.
    I’d convert to ‘Pattonism’ … but he died in his sleep (although the basic cause was a car accident).

    “Most of times, a young woman may come to the marital house while she knows neither much nor little about sex, and perhaps the husband may be so too. This is if they live in a Muslim society that follows the actual laws of Islam, or we may say ‘the ideal Muslim society’ that seems to be imaginary, because it is very difficult, or somehow impossible, to be applied, for it is not possible to suppress this instinct in males or females anyhow.

    Whatever we try to ignore this instinct, we shall not be successful most of times.

    When the genitals and glands of a male and a female grow and they feel the desire to sex, they shall practice sex in a way or another, whatever parents try to watch them. There is no doubt that males and females shall find an opportunity to meet, and in the least, boys may practice sex with boys and girls with girls.

  6. Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, wrote extensively on Islamic Jurisprudence. A two-volume book, which was published originally in Arabic, was called ‘Tahrir al Wasilah’. Translated into Farsi, the book is called “Tahrirolvasyleh.” (read entire text here.) Khomeini also had another treatise on Islamic rules for living, called in English, “The Little Green Book.” (see entire text here.)
    It is useful to understand what an esteemed Islamic leader such as the Ayatollah teaches his followers. Here are some excerpts from “Tahrirolvasyleh” which Muslims probably don’t want you to know about Islam:
    A man can have sexual pleasure from a child as young as a baby. However, he should not penetrate vaginally, but sodomising the child is acceptable. If a man does penetrate and damage the child then, he should be responsible for her subsistence all her life. This girl will not count as one of his four permanent wives and the man will not be eligible to marry the girl’s sister… It is better for a girl to marry at such a time when she would begin menstruation at her husband’s house, rather than her father’s home. Any father marrying his daughter so young will have a permanent place in heaven. [“Tahrirolvasyleh”, fourth edition, Qom, Iran, 1990]
    A man can have sex with animals such as sheep, cows, camels and so on. However, he should kill the animal after he has his heavenly feeling.He should not sell the meat to the people in his own village, but selling the meat to a neighbouring village is reasonable.
    If one commits the act of sodomy with a cow, a ewe, or a camel, their urine and their excrement become impure and even their milkmay no longer be consumed. The animal must then be killed as quickly as possible and burned.
    Wine and all intoxicating beverages are impure, but opium and hashish are not.
    If a man sodomises the son, brother, or father of his wife after their marriage, the marriage remains valid.
    During sexual intercourse, if the joystick enters a woman’s womanliness or a man’s anus, fully or only as far as the circumcision ring, both partners become impure, even if they have not reached puberty; they must consequently perform ablutions.
    A woman who has contracted a continuing marriage does not have the right to go out of the house without her husband’s permission; she must remain at his disposal for the fulfilment of any one of his desires, and may not refuse herself to him except for a religiously valid reason. If she is totally submissive to him, the husband must provide her with her food, clothing, and lodging, whether or not he has the means to do so. A woman who refuses herself to her husband is guilty, and may not demand from him food, clothing, lodging, or any later sexual relations; however, she retains the right to bepaid damages if she is repudiated.
    It is not illegal for an adult male to ‘thigh’ or enjoy a young girl who is still in the age of weaning; meaning to place his joystick between her thighs, and to kiss her. [“The Little Green Book”]
    Paedophilia legal in Iran
    In June, 2002 Iranian authorities approved a law raising the age at which girls can marry without parental consent from 9 to 13. The elected legislature actually passed the bill in 2000, but the “Guardian Council”, a 12-man body of conservative clerics, vetoed it as contradicting Islamic Sharia law. Iran’s clericalestablishment insists that the marriage of young girls is a means to combat immorality. The Expediency Council, which arbitrates between the elected parliament and the theocratic Guardian Council, timidly passed the measure. The law however does not change the age at which children can get married (nine for girls and 14 for boys), but says that girls below the age of 13 and boys younger than 15 need their parents’ permission and the approval of a “Righteous Court.” Reformists state that the new law does not protect children, since most of those who marry at such a young age do so by force.
    A religious decree by Khomeini ordered that girl prisoners who are virgins must be Molested before execution, to prevent them from entering heaven. A Guard conducts the molest the night before execution. The next day, a marriage certificate is issued by a mullah, who sends it to the girl’s family, along with a box of chocolates as a wedding gift.
    It is quite common in Iran for older men to marry children, as long as they pay the appropriate bride-price to the girl’s family. This basically means that a father can sell his daughter to whomever he wants, whilst the mad mullahs see this as a means of maintaining purity. We prefer to call this child prostitution and molest, especially given that Iran’s clerics approve of the ‘tradition’ of ‘temporary marriage’ (Mut’a) , which can last less than 24 hours and may be repeated as many times as desired. This form of exploitation is widespread and legitimises sexwith young children. The man may even visit his temporary wife every weekend at her father’s house, for about $10 per visit.

    مما يوجب حرمة الحيوان المحلل بالاصل أن يطأه الانسان قبلا أو دبرا و إن لم ينزل ، صغيرا كان الواطئ أو كبيرا ، عالما كان أو جاهلا ، مختارا كان أو مكرها ، فحلا كان الموطوء أو أنثى ، فيحرم بذلك لحمه و لحم نسله المتجدد بعد الوطئ على الاقوى فى نسل الانثى و على الاحوط فى نسل الذكر ، و كذا لبنهما و صوفهما و شعرهما ، و الظاهر أن الحكم مختص بالبهيمة و لا يجري فى وطء سائر الحيوانات لا فيها و لا فى نسلها .
    Issue 22 – Of that which makes a halal origin animal haram is that a human being has sexual intercourse with it, frontally or in back, even if he does not Erupt, whether the doer of the sexual act is a minor or a mature person, knowing or ignorant, choosing (to do it) or compelled, whether the (animal ) that is having sexual intercourse done to itis a steed (male) or female, then by that its meat and the meat of it offspring reborn (?) after the intercourse upon the strongest (view) regarding theoffspring of the female and upon the most precautious with regards to the offspring of the male. Likewise is their milk, their wool, and their hair. And what is apparent is that the ruling is specific to the beast (bahima) and does not apply tointercourse with the rest of the animals, not in it and not in its offspring.

    الحيوان الموطوء إن كان مما يراد أكله كالشاة و البقرة و الناقة يجب أن يذبح ثم يحرق و يغرم الواطئ قيمته لمالكه إن كان غير المالك ، و إن كان مما يراد ظهره حملا أو ركوبا و ليس يعتاد أكله كالحمار و البغل و الفرس أخرج من المحل الذي فعل به إلى بلد آخر فيباع فيه ، فيعطى ثمنه للواطئ ، و يغرم قيمته إن كان غير المالك .

    Issue 23 – The animal which has had sexual intercourse done upon it, if it of (a type) that one wants to eat, like a sheep, and a cow, and a she-camel, then it is wajib to slaughter it then burn it, and the doer of the sexual act is fined its value toits owner if he was not the owner. And if it is of (a type) that one wants to (use) its back to carry (i.e. a beast of burden) or to ride, and its eating is not customary, like the donkey and the mule and the horse, it is taken out of spot in which it was done to another balad (country?) and sold in it. So its price is given for (? Unsure) the doer of the sexual act and he is fined its value if he was not the owner.

    “If the man had an ANAL SEX with a woman while she’s fasting, it doesn’t invalidate her fasting, nor must she takes a Ghusl (shower).”

    Now let’s not forget that this Allaamah is the same man who gave the fatwa on having Tayammum on a woman’s private parts if covered with sand…

    [ 26407 ] 2 ـ وعنه ، عن أحمد بن إسحاق ، عن سعدان بن مسلم ، عن عبيد بن زرارة ، عن أبيه ، عن أبي عبدالله ( عليه السلام ) قال : ذكرت له المتعة ، أهي من الاربع ؟ فقال : تزوج منهن ألفا فانهن مستأجرات .

    2 – And from him from Ahmad b. Ishaq from Sa`dan b. Muslim from `Ubayd b. Zurara from his father from Abu `Abdillah عليه السلام. He said: I mentioned mut`a (Woman) to him, is she from the four (Wives)? So he said: Marry a thousand of them, for they are rented women.

    [ 26409 ] 4 ـ وعنه ، عن أحمد ، عن الحسين بن سعيد ومحمد بن خالد ، عن القاسم بن عروة ، عن عبد الحميد ، عن محمد بن مسلم ، عن أبي جعفر ( عليه السلام ) ، في المتعة : ليست من الاربع لانها لا تطلق ولا ترث وإنما هي مستأجرة .

    4 – And from him from Ahmad from al-Husayn b. Sa`id and Muhammad b. Khalid from al-Qasim b. `Urwa from `Abd al-Hamid from Muhammad b. Muslim from Abu Ja`far عليه السلام regarding mut`a: She is not from the four (Wives) since she is not divorced nor does she inherit. And she is only a rented woman.

    [ 26419 ] 14 ـ العياشي في ( تفسيره ) : عن عبد السلام ، عن أبي عبدالله ( عليه السلام ) قال : قلت له : ما تقول في المتعة ؟ قال : قول الله : ( فما استمتعتم به منهن فآتوهن أجورهن فريضة ) إلى أجل مسمى ( ولا جناح عليكم فيما تراضيتم به من بعد الفريضة ) قال : قلت : جعلت فداك ، أهي من الاربع ؟ قال : ليست من الاربع إنما هي إجارة ، الحديث .

    14 – al-`Ayyashi in his Tafsir from `Abd as-Salam from Abu `Abdillah عليه السلام. He said: I said to him: What do you say regarding mut`a? He said: The saying of Allah “So those of them with whom you have done mut`a” to a named duration “then give them their wages as a duty.” He said: I said: May I be made sacrifice for you, is she from the four? He said: She is not from the four, it is only a renting – (al-hadith)

    [ 26530 ] 1 ـ محمد بن يعقوب ، عن علي بن إبراهيم ، عن أبيه ، عن ابن أبي عمير ، عن بعض أصحابنا ، عن زرارة ، عن أبي جعفر ( عليه السلام ) قال : قلت له : الرجل يتزوج المتعة وينقضي شرطها ثم يتزوجها رجل آخر حتى بانت منه ثم يتزوجها الاول حتى بانت منه ثلاثا وتزوجت ثلاثة أزواج ، يحل للاول أن يتزوجها ؟ قال : نعم ، كم شاء ليس هذه مثل الحرة ، هذه مستأجرة وهيبمنزلة الاماء .
    ورواه الشيخ بإسناده عن محمد بن يعقوب ، نحوه .

    1 – Muhammad b. Ya`qub from `Ali b. Ibrahim from his father from Ibn Abi `Umayr from one of our companions from Zurara from Abu Ja`farعليه السلام. He said: I said to him: The man who marries in mut`a and her (or, its) stipulation (i.e. duration) expires then another man marries her until she separates from him then the first one marries her until she separates from him, thrice, and she married three husbands. It is allowed for the first one to marry her? He said: Yes, as much as he wants, this is not like the freewoman, this is a rented (or, hired) woman and she is of the status of the slave-girl.

    And the Shaykh narrated it by his isnad from Muhammad b. Ya`qub likewise.

    Point #2: Women which married in such marriage are equal to slave-women.

    [ 26411 ] 6 ـ وعن علي بن إبراهيم ، عن أبيه ، عن ابن أبي عمير ، عن عمر بن اُذينة ، عن أبي عبدالله ( عليه السلام ) ، قال : قلت له : كم يحل من المتعة ؟ قال : فقال : هن بمنزلة الاماء .

    6 – And from `Ali b. Ibrahim from his father from Ibn Abi `Umayr from `Umar b. Udhayna from Abu `Abdillah عليه السلام. He said: I said to him: How many are allowed in mut`a? So he said: They are of the status of slave women.

    [ 26413 ] 8 ـ وعن عليّ ، عن أبيه ، عن ابن أبي عمير ، عن عمر بن اُذينة ، عن إسماعيل بن الفضل الهاشميّ قال : سألت أبا عبدالله ( عليه السلام ) عن المتعة ؟ فقال : إلق عبد الملك بن جريج فسله عنها فإن عنده منها علما ، فلقيته فأملى علي شيئا كثيرا في استحلالها ، وكان فيما روى لي فيها ابن جريج ، أنه ليس فيها وقت ولا عدد إنما هي بمنزلة الاماء يتزوج منهن كم شاء ، وصاحبالاربع نسوة يتزوج منهن ما شاء بغير ولي ولا شهود ، فاذا انقضي الاجل بانت منه بغير طلاق ، ويعطيها الشيء اليسير ، وعدتها حيضتان ، وإن كانت لا تحيض فخمسة وأربعون يوما ، قال :فأتيت بالكتاب أبا عبدالله ( عليه السلام ) فقال : صدق وأقر به ، قال ابن اذينة : وكان زرارة يقول هذا ويحلف أنه الحق إلا أنه كان يقول : ان كانت تحيض فحيضة ، وإن كانت لا تحيض فشهرونصف .

    8 – And from `Ali from his father from Ibn Abi `Umayr from `Umar b. Udhayna from Isma`il b. al-Fadl al-Hashimi. He said: I asked Abu `Abdillah عليه السلام about mut`a. So he said: Go meet `Abd al-Malik b. Jurayj and ask him about it, for verily he has knowledge about it.

    So I met him and he dictated many things to me in regards to its being deemed lawful, and in what Ibn Jurayj narrated to me regarding it was that there is no time and number in it, she is only with the status of the slave women, one marries from them however many one wants. And the one who has four wives marries from them what he wants without a guardian or witnesses. So when the term is expired, she is separated from him without divorce. And he gives her the simple thing. And her `idda is two menstruations. And that if she does not menstruate, then it is forty-five days.

    He said: So I brought the writing to Abu `Abdillah عليه السلام [and I presented it to him – in al-Kafi] and he said: He has spoken the truth and confirmed it. Ibn Udhayna said: And Zurara would say this and swear that it was the truth, except that he would say: If she menstruates, then a (single) menstruation, and if she does not menstruate, then a month and a half.

    [ 26416 ] 11 ـ وبإسناده ، عن أحمد بن محمد بن أبي نصر ، عن أبي الحسن ( عليه السلام ) ، قال : سألته عن الرجل تكون له المرأة ، ( هل ) يتزوج بأختها متعة ؟ قال : لا ، قلت : حكى زرارة ، عن أبي جعفر ( عليه السلام ) ، إنما هي مثل الاماء يتزوج ما شاء ، قال : لا ، هي من الاربع .
    قال الشيخ : هذان الخبران وردا مورد الاحتياط والفضل دون الحظر ، واستدل بما تقدم ، وحاصله كراهة الزيادة ولو للتقية ، وحديث عمار يحتمل الحمل على الانكار أيضا ، ويحتمل الحديثان إرادةالتشبيه يعني أنها كإحدى الاربع في تحريم الاخت جمعا وفي كثير من الاحكام لا في تحريم الزيادة .

    11 – And by his isnad from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Abi Nasr from Abu ‘l-Hasan عليه السلام. He said: I asked him about the man who has a wife does he [is it allowed for him to – in at-Tahdheeb] marry her sister in mut`a? He said: No. I said: Zurara related from Abu Ja`far عليه السلام that she is only like the slave women, one marries what one wants. He said: No, she is from the four.

    The Shaykh said: These two reports have come by way of precaution and virtue without there being forbiddance, and he deduced it by what has preceded. And its sum is the dislike of increase even if for taqiyya. And it is possible to interpret the hadith of `Ammar as also being denial. And it is possible to interpret the two hadiths to mean similarity, meaning that she is like one of the four in regards to the forbiddance of the (marrying) the sister at the same time, and in much of the (other) rules, (but) not in regards to the forbiddance of increase.

    [ 26417 ] 12 ـ محمد بن علي بن الحسين بإسناده عن الفضيل بن يسار ، أنّه سأل أبا عبدالله ( عليه السلام ) عن المتعة ؟ فقال : هي كبعض إمائك .
    ورواه في ( المقنع ) مرسلا .

    12 – Muhammad b. `Ali b. al-Husayn by his isnad from al-Fudayl b. Yasar that he asked Abu `Abdillah عليه السلام about mut`a. So he said: She is as one of your slave women.

    And he narrated it in al-Muqni` mursalan.

    [ 26418 ] 13 ـ عبدالله بن جعفر في ( قرب الاسناد ) : عن أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى ، عن أحمد بن محمد بن أبي نصر ، عن أبي الحسن الرضا ( عليه السلام ) قال : سألته عن المتعة ـ إلى أن قال :ـ وسألته من الاربع هي ؟ فقال : اجعلوها من الاربع على الاحتياط ، قال : وقلت له : ان زرارة حكى عن أبي جعفر ( عليه السلام ) إنما هن مثل الاماء يتزوج منهن ما شاء ، فقال : هي من الاربع .
    أقول : عرفت وجهه .

    13 – `Abdullah b. Ja`far in Qurb al-Isnad from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. `Isa from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Abi Nas from Abu ‘l-Hasan ar-Rida عليه السلام. He said; I asked him about mut`a – until he said: And I asked him whether she is from the four. So he said: Put her from the four upon precaution. He said: And I said to him: Zurara related from Abu Ja`far عليه السلام that they are only like the slave girls, one marries from them as much as one wants. So he said: She is from the four.

    I say: You have known its meaning.

    Comment: So… we know already and proven from shia fatwas how low they can go with their rented slaves of pleasure… Do the Pious Shia Women accept this!? Your scholars destroyed your Madhab and reduced it to Mut’ah and Khums.

  11. Lying and Deception in Shiism:
    For Shia, Taqiyya is the rule, not the exception of the rule. For Shia, the twisted form of Taqiyya is a prescribed duty and a pillar of their faith. Shiism could not stand without it. They learn the principles and methods of Taqi’ah and they practice it.

    The Shia practice Taqiyah to hide their Shia beliefs, not the Islamic beliefs.

    In support of their twisted form of Taqiyya, we find the following in Shia’s classical reference books:

    In a narration, Shia falsely attribut to the 8th Shia Imam, Ali bin Musa, he said: “ The one who is not wari (pious) has no religion and the one who does not practice Taqiyyah has no Iman ( deep faith).” So he was asked, “O grandson of the Messenger, until when (is one required to practice Taqiyyah)?” He replied, “Until a certain day (i.e. the day Imam Mahdi appears). Whoever does not practice Taqiyyah before the appearance of Imam Mahdi, is not one of us.” (Kashf al-Ghummah Al-Ardabili, pg. 341).

    “Nine tenths (90%) of religion (Shiism) is Taqiyya (dissimulation), hence one who does not dissimulate has no religion.” (Al-Kafi vol.9 p.110)

    “He who conceals his religion has saved it, and he who makes it public has destroyed it.”

    “A believer who does not practice Taqiyya is like a body without a head.” (Tafseer al-Askari)

    “Mix with them (i.e. non-Shia) externally, but oppose them internally.” (Al-Kafi vol.9 p.116)

    “Taqiyya is necessary and the one who abandons it is excluded from the religion (of the Shia).” (Ehsan-ul-Fatawa Fi Shaeah-e-Aqa’id, p. 26)

    “The most beloved thing on the surface of Earth is Taqiyya.” (Usul Kafi, Part 2. Kitab Imaan wal Kufr, Bab Taqiyyah, Line 12, Riwayah 4, page 217, New Iranian Edition)

  12. Shia Mahdi – Fact or Fiction ?
    Please watch this, it clears the concept of Shia Mahdi, 12th Imam of the Twelvers Shia which they think is in occultation for the past 1000 years or so and will be coming soon to rule the world and convert everyone to Shia Islam!
    If what they believe is true then, why behind the closed doors their respected Ayatullahs say something else like this great honorable Shia Ayatullah Sayyid Kamal al-Hydari claims that they cannot prove the birth of Shia Mahdi or 12th Imam using authentic Shia narrations/Hadiths. Then who is this imposter the regular Shias are waiting for and are made to believe by the honorable Ayatullahs!?
    Can it be the DAJJAL or Anti-Christ or Jewish Messiah that they all are waiting for!?
    Why the honorable Ayatullahs confuse the good naive Shias and rest of the non-shias by their lies and deceptions!?
