Lebanon has witnessed a big flow of refugees from neighboring Syria, most of which are struggling to find means of survival.
Architecture students at the American University in Beirut (AUB) are trying to help some of those refugees that have resorted to picking up the city’s trash for recycling purposes, by designing more user-friendly carts. By applying User-Centered Design discovered through ethnographic research, the students emerge with a product designed to improve the experience for Syrian refugees.
