Drawings by Syrian children reveal the horror of war

drawings by syrian childrenThe drawings by Syrian children taking refuge inside Jordan reveal the horror they witnessed before fleeing Syria, LBC reported on Tuesday.

Their drawings depict various scenes of war such as shelling of mosques, and shooting at civilians.

Spokeswoman of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) said that a huge number of Syrian children have seen horrors that no child should have witnessed.

Over 80,000 people have been killed since the uprising against the regime of President Bashar al-Assad began in Syria in March 2011. The civil war has forced about 1.4 million Syrians to seek refuge in neighboring countries, with 4.25 million more displaced internally.

Lebanon and Jordan have so far taken the lion’s share of Syrian refugees, whose daily outflow has accelerated over recent months and still continues to grow on a daily basis.

Too late to help that generation. What will they be thinking in 15 years?

I never saw them draw their missiles falling on our children… What goes around comes around. I hope no stone will be left standing in that shit hole.

They are just children who were not even born when the tyrant despot regime in Damascus was pounding our cities and villages, and now this same regime is destroying itself and destroying its own cities and villages. These innocent children are just victims as we were. I wish I was closer to help….I found your comment so harsh and non-christian…almost inhuman….As much as I hate the Syrian regime, I love Syria the history, Syria the arab nobleness, Syria the secular, Syria of Palmyre, Crac-des-chevaliers, Elba, Aleppo, Damascus, Syria the cotton fields, Syria the Olive fields, Syria of Sayd Naya and Maaloul, etc…

From a BBC story …. Timbuktu Educated people (citizens) defeat intentions of Uneducated ‘Al-Shiskabobs’. Check it out … very interesting, and good.
‘When in January of this year the insurgents torched two libraries belonging to the Ahmed Baba Institute, as they were retreating from Timbuktu, the covert rescue operation was already half-complete – and the libraries themselves had been all but empty for months.’
