Iraq to grant Jordan 100,000 barrels of crude oil

The Iraqi Cabinet on Tuesday decided to grant Jordan 100,000 barrels of crude oil, a gesture that was welcomed by the government in Amman.

Announcing the decision on Tuesday, Iraqi government spokesperson Ali Dabbagh said on his official website that the council of ministers in Baghdad had decided to give 100,000 barrels of crude oil to the Jordanian people.

Confirming the news, Government Spokesperson Samih Maaytah thanked the Iraqi government for the grant, which he said reflects the strong ties between the two neighbouring countries.

“We value the move, which comes at a time when Jordan is facing economic and energy difficulties,” Maaytah told The Jordan Times over the phone Tuesday.

According to official figures, Jordan’s oil needs per day are estimated to be around 100,000 barrels.

In September of this year, Jordan and Iraq agreed to construct a pipeline to supply the Kingdom with crude oil and natural gas.

Under the cooperation accord signed by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Alaa Batayneh and Iraqi Oil Minister Abdul Karim Luaibi, the two countries also agreed on exporting crude oil from Iraq through Jordan’s sole port, Aqaba.

          I Personally think Shia should just forget about Israel and the USA and take care of the Wahhabi threat and put you suckers in your place. Why should Shia be enemy’s with the West Israel for the sake of the Sunni Palestinians when there Sunni/Wahhabi gulf brothers want to murder us. And finance terrorists to kill us. My personal opinion Iran Iraq can invade the Wahhabi states and cleanse the cancer of Wahhabisim for good! Also free Al Qatif the Shia city of 2 million with 80% of the oil in the Arabian peninsula, That would eliminate the Wahhabi financing used to fund Al Qaeda.

    On signing the peace treaty with Israel,  Jordan should have forced the Jordanians to normalize  with Israel, by setting up thousands of Duty Free Zones for export to sustain the Jordan population. Had that happened, Jordan would not have now having to beg for 100,000 barrels of oil from anyone.  Once the oil runs out, or a substitute is found for oil, many Islamic and African nations will become failed states. (see the failed state register)

    I cancelled a major project in Jordan 20 years ago when I was told that if the same people I was assisting financially would find out that I was Israeli, they would kill me.They always thought that their Arab  brother would provided, which they have not. There is no hope for Jordan.
