Syria’s FSA captures a village near Turkish borders

Share:

The Free Syrian Army ( FSA) captured the Syrian village of Khirbat al-Joz, close to the village of Jisr al-Shughur, about 2 km from the Turkish border after hours of fierce fighting on Saturday in which 25 troops and three FSA members ( including a commander ) were killed, the spokesman for Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Rami Abdel Rahman said.

“After capturing the village, the rebels raised the revolutionary flag over a former army checkpoint in the area,” he said

Abdel Rahman said fighting was continuing on the outskirts of the village, which is now a ghost town after most of its 4-6,000 inhabitants fled to safety in Turkey.

Former Hezbollah leader calls on group to reconsider Syria stance
The former Hezbollah Secretary General, Sheikh Sobhi Tfaili  confirmed that the Lebanese Shiites will have two options after the fall of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime; either Israel or the Syrian Sunnis. He called on the Lebanese Shiite leadership to avoid adopting a policy which will lead them to choose between defeat or alliance with Israel.

Tfaili urged Hezbollah to reconsider its political position towards Syria, so it can play a constructive role against the rise of sectarian conflicts in the region, and he refused the idea that the Shiite leaders could participate in the big crime committed against the Syrian people.

“You have to reconsider your affiliation with the Syrian regime in its civil war so that you are not shocked by sectarian war in Syria and Lebanon, which could lead to an undesirable outcome. This is exactly what I said and I repeat this today and I demand they reconsider their relationship with the government – don’t join in what is going on in Syria. It is a massive crime against the Syrian people. We need to put out the fire and not be with the part that ignites it,” Tfaili  said.

Sheikh Sobhi  Tfaili  declaring that Syrian minorities should not support a regime that kills its own people by planes and tanks. “I tell the minorities that in no way is it permissible to stand by a regime that is wrecking the country with tanks, airplanes and helicopters out of fear of the possibility of being attacked,” he said.
He reminded the viewers of the statement he made at the beginning of the Syrian revolution, when he said that “Syria is heading to a war that will transform it into ashes, and that a group of Syrians will support the regime based on the fact that the regime is theirs, and these are the Alawites,” adding that the Alawites think that they can establish their own country in Syria, but this is far from becoming a reality, wishing that a political movement assumes power and governs following the Turkish model.

“I address them quietly – I wish that you would listen to me without frustration, without being offended because I am thinking of your future. An Alawite nation in Syria will not be. This is a dream that will not be realized. All Arab nations will stand against the division of Syria,” Tfaili said.

if one is opressed (theoretical) then decides to rebel despite that his loss is inevitable, once he loses, he shouldn’t start to cry like a baby; intelligent people calculate. From here we conclude two things: either the rebels are idiots or they are manipulated by foreign forces; oops both is most likely

they’re not oppressed only they need their livelyhood improved instead of being stepped on by your majesty Bashar. if he was to share 10th of the assad and his family with the syrian population, i am sure that will not have happened. What about bombing lebanon and its population without mercy for 30 years? what about raping out women and killing our children.. wasn’t that oppression? what about killing so many of our leaders and denying it and accusing the zionist of it? you didn’t room for Lebanese or Syrian population to breeze. you will die like a dog you are. i hope the Sunnis will crush to death.

Murder of Gebran Tueni exposed !!

Among The classified documents  recently leaked was a file that dates back to Dec. 12, 2005 in which Abdel-Rahman informed Gen. Assef Shawkat, Assad’s brother-in-law and an then army deputy chief of staff, that “mission 213” was successful executed with the help of Hezbollah.

The mission is suspected to be linked to the assassination of Gebran Ghassan Tueni, Lebanese politician and the former editor and publisher of daily paper An Nahar. Al-Rasheed, of the Syrian National Rally, told Al Arabiya English that Tueni was a target of the Syrian regime since the “liberation of the south” of Lebanon in 2000 from Israeli occupation. Since then Tueini often voiced objection to Syrian presence in Lebanon, according to Rasheed.Syrian troops completely withdrew from Lebanon on April 27, 2005 following an international outcry sparked by the assassination of late prime minister Rafiq al-Hariri.

At least this Sheikh makes more sense and more logical than Nassrallah. He has been the voice of moderation for a while now. So I applaude him for speaking his mind and trying to create peacefull co-existance. My hunch he is on the run from Hezbollah and can’t do much other than speak.. many shiites are afraid to speak their mind about hezbollah and unfortunately the latter is putting them at odds with other sects and isolating them. Someday if the iranian revolution explodes again, then you will see many of these shiites rise against hezbollah. For now they will have to keep quiet otherwise they get killed with no exceptions.

According to  Sheikh Sobhi Tfaili what stops the war from breaking out in Lebanon is that the Sunnis feel helpless against the system of Hezbollah. He pointed out that Hezbollah should seek common ground with the forces of March 14, which didn’t try to build a state and were part of the corruption system.

Well I admire this Person for his righteous thinking. Many fanatic Shias who are riding high at the moment pumping up with joy thinking Russia,China and Iran are coming to wipe out the sunni resistance and establish a shia regime dreaming about a “Shia Crescent” will find themselves shoved by a crescent up in their butt.

Well, the croissant(crescent) was invented for the benefit of the Turks of long ago … they’re going to have to invent a whole new pastry for the Shiites.  I think I’ll pass on eating one, even WITH coffee, if you treat them as you have suggested!

  7. As i expected another day another propaganda the Global Western Mainstream are quick to defend there own Islamist terrorists while relying  just on the LCC a Washington funded group and Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Rami Abdel Rahman said. The guy who runs it all himself.

    From AFP.

Rebels captured Khirbat al-Joz in the northwest province of Idlib
near the border after a fierce battle in which 25 troops and three
insurgents were killed, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

Nearly 80 percent of towns and villages along the Turkish border are outside the control of Damascus, according to the group.”

Thats quiet a lie. And also the quote that. Nearly 80 percent of towns and villages along the Turkish border are outside the control of Damascus. Was not stated by the group but rather a defected member.
