One Lebanese Internal Security Forces officer was killed and two others injured when armed assailants ambushed their patrol in Lebanon’s eastern city of Baalbek, National News Agency reported on Thursday.
The victim, identified as Ali Nasrallah, was killed when the patrol he was leading was ambushed in the Sharawneh area following the arrest of two suspects by the patrol, according to the report.
It added that the injured ISF officers were transferred to a local hospital while investigations were underway to arrest the suspects involved in the shooting.
