A 13-year-old boy was killed and at least four other people wounded by sniper fire in the Lebanese city of Tripoli in north Lebanon on Wednesday .

Prime minister Najib Mikati ordered security forces to set up checkpoints in the city and arrest anyone carrying arms in public, according to local reports.

The victim is from Bab al-Tebbaneh.

The fighting in Lebanon’s northern capital Tripoli is between two rival neighborhoods :Jabal Mohsen which is populated mainly by Alawites loyal to the embattled regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad ( He belongs to this sect) , and Bab al-Tebbaneh which is populated by mainly Sunni Muslims who support the opposition seeking to oust Assad.

Support who you like, but don’t kill each other. Life is precious and we should celebrate it not end it. Will we ever learn? no cause justifies this killing. There no winners here. So, stop it please and go and plant a tree instead.
