The Public Works, Transportation, Energy and Water Parliamentary Commission approved on Tuesday a proposal to establish a new ministry that will specialize in Petroleum products, National News Agency, reported
Following the meeting, the head of the commission, Mohammad Qabbani, told reporters: “We take advantage of this opportunity to say that it is important to establish a committee for administering petroleum sector before forming an Ministry of petroleum, because the delay is no longer acceptable.”
In August 2010, Lebanon’s parliament passed a law establishing Lebanon’s maritime boundary and Exclusive Economic Zone.
