  5. Sadly speaking, university students have become pawns to these corrupt sectarian political parties and the leaders of these political parties are pawns to regional powers.

Who OWNS the ‘legal’ system … and your teeth ??? And in only ONE city ???

      TRIPOLI, Lebanon: Star:
March 14 and March 8 candidates split the vote in a Sunday election for two new members of Tripoli’s Bar Association. March 14-backed Asaad Mourani and March 8-backed Abdel Kader al-Tureyki replaced previous council members Antoine Airout and Fahd Mokaddem, whose one-year terms have come to an end. There are about 1,000 lawyers in the city’s Bar Association who participate in the annual elections, when one new Christian and one new Muslim member join the bar’s council.Mourani received 469 votes and Tureyki received 462. Toufiq Basbous of March 14 and Munir Daoud of March 8 each failed to win a seat. Last year’s elections also gave March 14 and March 8 equal power in Tripoli’s Bar Association.
The city’s dentists also took to the polls Sunday, giving the Tripoli Association of Dentist’s council a March 14 majority with a March 8 leader. About 400 dentists took part in the morning elections, selecting three new members to its council and one member to the association’s retirement fund.

There NEEDS to be more ‘independants’ … and some new government for sure. But after the education … never. 🙁

I guess we wait and see … maybe after Syria changes?? These Tripoli dentists — do they all look like Bashar?

I’m amazed there’s actually 400 dentists in Tripoli … wonder who they work on?   Oh .. yah … the 1000 lawyers.
No-one else can afford a dentist.

KOURA, Lebanon: Students from the March 8 and March 14 coalitions split the vote in student elections at Notre Dame University’s Barsa campus Friday, in contrast to previous years when March 8 dominated elections.Irritated by the results, some March 8 students attempted to assault rival students and wrecked cars inside and near the university’s parking lot, before the Lebanese Army and Internal Security Forces stepped in.
      Ah, yes … democracy … 😉

What the heck? Election for what? What kind of president AUB has to allow politics to cross the gate. Is that where our donation money go to support students to play the little politicians. I hope someone from AUB is reading this note….

Just keep sending … otherwise the fees will need to rise … with maybe fewer ‘invited-then-uninvited’ speakers.
