Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Monday called President Michel Suleiman to congratulate him on the formation of the new cabinet led by Prime Minister Najib Miqati .
Suleiman reportedly told Assad that he hopes “calm and stability will be restored in Syria as soon as possible.”
MTV reported that Assad also called Speaker Nabih Berri to congratulate him on cabinet formation
