Lebanon PM-designate Miqati criticized The speeches of the march 14 leaders during the rally : “Had Martyr ( Rafik) Hariri been alive today, he would’ve rejected the strife-inciting remarks that were made today near his tomb in downtown Beirut.”

More than one million Lebanese of all faiths… Christians. Druze , Muslim Shiites and Sunnis demanded that Hezbollah be disarmed as they rallied to mark the sixth anniversary the Cedar Revolution, the uprising which inspired the recent revolts in the Middle East, International news agencies reported

The theme at Sunday’s rally is simple:” We want one state …one army to defend the country

lets unite the country and get rid of all the other states and armies .” the organizers said in reference to Hezbollah’s state within the state of Lebanon and the non-state ( illegal) arms.

The rally this year comes after Hezbollah’s military might was blamed for the collapse of the government . The Iranian and Syrian -backed Hezbollah brought down Hariri’s government on January 12 over the Special Tribunal for Lebanon’s (STL) imminent indictment which is widely expected to implicate Hezbollah members in the assassination of former PM Rafik Hariri in 2005

Mikati was appointed in January as the PM designate with the backing of the Hezbollah March 8 alliance and MPs Walid Jumblatt and Mohammad Safadi following the collapse of Hariri’s unity government. March 14 leaders have repeatedly said that intimidation from Hezbollah’s weapons helped secure the parliamentary majority for Mikati’s nomination.

Jumblatt and his PSP parliament members reportedly switched allegiance to Hezbollah’s PM candidate, following threats by Hezbollah.

Jumblatt, Mikati and Safadi were all elected on March 14 electoral tickets during the 2009 parliamentary elections.

March 14 parties have announced that they will not take part in the cabinet Mikati is currently forming, and Hariri vowed last week to fight the use of non-state weapons “peacefully and democratically.”

During an interview with Times magazine Mikati denied he is a Hezbollah puppet

  1. Over one million Lebanese citizens standing against tyranny. sedition and harassment by use of arms. Shia, Sunni, Christian and Druze we are all Lebanese, the only distinguishing question is now, “Where do your loyalties lie? with the state? or with foreign intervention and oppression?”

King Abdallahs picture 10 times bigger than ur martyrs over looking ur crowd…explain that one genius…

      1. I did not see what you saw so I cannot comment on it, but last I checked, King Abdallah wasn’t sending weapons to be used as intimidation against other Lebanese people. The sad thing is how much you misunderstand what our objectives are…We WANT Saudi money, we want US money, Hell we even want Iranian and Syrian money… We are a small nation and having other peoples money infused into our GDP is nothing but good for us.

What do not want is weapons outside of the Army, political assassinations, and a man in a cave trying to impose the rule of the Ayatollah’s on us. Our demands are not extraordinary…We want all citizens of Lebanon to fall under the rule of the state and the Constitution…and by Constitution i mean ours, the Lebanese constitution, not Wilayat-e Faqih.

Had RH been alive today, there would not have been strife-inciting remarks made today near his tomb.

“Incidentally, the Virgin store is owned by a family member of Lebanese Democratic Party leader Talal Arslan who is aligned with the March 8 coalition. One of the rumors making the rounds on Twitter today is that the Saudi king signage was posted by March 8 supporters” whats funny is that the poster was dropped right before saad hariri began his speech lol, this wasnt there during the setup by the M14 event organizers…BTW i dont care about the saudi king, and i dont care about khomieni and i dont care about nas-khara, I care about Lebanon and disarming all criminal terrorist organizations in Lebanon…..so Michael this shows how weak you guys are, this was all you had????what a weak attempt at creating controversy over a poster lol…all over the road to baalbec and all over the south the roads are filled with posters of foreign terrorist creep bags. so please tell me what now for M8? join us your time is running out, or remain being second class citizens under your puppet islamist jihadist leaders…
