Future TV reported on Wednesday that Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt dispatched Public Works and Transportation Minister Ghazi Aridi as an envoy to Syria to follow up on efforts to resolve Lebanon crisis with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
Assad met with Jumblatt in Damascus last Saturday, The Syrian news agency SANA reported.
Earlier today Jumblatt urged the Lebanese to facilitate the Qatari-Turkish efforts to solve the crisis and called for dialogue as the only solution to Lebanon’s problems.
