Hezbollah sets new conditions for ending crisis

Share:

Al-Manar television quoted on Wednesday an unnamed source as saying that Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah told Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoglu and Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jaber al-Thani that the March 8 coalition has its own, new sets of conditions after the failure of the Saudi Syrian efforts and the submission of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon’s (STL) indictment by prosecutor Daniel Bellemare.

Al-Manar later expanded on the issue by reporting that ” the new mediation is based on a certain understanding of the Saudi Syrian initiative’s points, with the reformulation of these points and reorganizing them according to priority.”

Future News television quoted on Wednesday an unnamed source as saying that Hezbollah is moving in the direction of carrying out more intimidating steps and is supported by Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun.

The source added that this is one of the steps toward carrying out a complete coup against the government.

This comes a day after Hezbollah and Amal Movement supporters gathered in the streets of downtown Beirut including Tayyouneh, Ras al-Nabeh, Zqaq al-Blat, and Bechara al-Khoury early Tuesday.

So much for democracy and so much for the rule of Law.

I fear Lebanon’s days as an independent state are numbered. The country is sliding back into the grip of Syrian control. We will once again become a Syrian vassal without getting the benefits Syrian citizens get. The funny thing is neither Hezbollah nor any other armed group will be tolerated if Lebanon becomes part of Syria.

I say instead of becoming a protectorate of Syria once again to be used and abused let us become part of Syria or maybe a region of Syria with a special status for example Hong Kong and China. The Syrian army will step in to wipe out these delinquents and Lebanon can achieve peace and stability once again.

Let’s be smart about this. Lebanon is too fractured and too week to survive as an independent state.

Syria is coming back either way lets negotiate a better deal for ourselves this time.

Wrong, what will happen if HA dare to take over Lebanon?
1- Lebanon will be isolated similar to Gaza and only the Lebanese people will suffer
2- Israel and Allies will dare to destroy the infrastructure and the Lebanese economy
3- Iran death squad will kill many innocent Lebanese in the name of whatever they want to invent.
4- Only Israel will be the winner in this case, HA will be weakend and they get the justifications to attack and destroy
5- Tourism will disappear in Lebanon and the Lebanese will live in poverty and misery

No this is the way of the future to get into power you don’t ask for the peoples vote but you force them by holding gun to head and intimidate.
    No freedom to live

  17. The funny thing that March 08 still think they will end up as winning this battle….if HA in particular has won anything since the 2006 war ended is the dissappointment of a lot of people who truly used to support it him. They are claiming that they are part of the democratic structure of Lebanon yet they turn against it when they cornered….they are just like little kids with big guns.

They truly turned from being an honorable resistance to a dispicable militia

All lebanese need to stand beside each other, forget about the nonsense and stand up for each other. Throw out everything except being a patriot for Lebanon. That’s the way to end the tension, continue to have peace and watch the country grow.
