Lebanon and the European Union on Friday signed two finance agreements worth 22 million euros (29 million dollars) aimed at promoting reform, PM Saad Hariri’s office said in a statement.
“The head of the EU delegation, Patrick Laurent, and the (Lebanese) cabinet secretary general, Suhayl Buji, signed two finance accords between Lebanon and the EU,” the statement said
The agreements, of eight million ($9.5 million) and 14 million ($ 18.5 million) euros , “are aimed at supporting the Lebanese government in carrying out priority reforms,” it said.
