Everyone knows STL will target Hezbollah, says official

Agriculture Minister Hussein al-Hajj Hassan, a key Hezbollah official told New TV on Wednesday that everyone knows that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL)’s pending indictment will target his party.

“In my opinion, indicting Hezbollah in the 2005 assassination of Lebanon’s former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri is unacceptable,” Hajj Hassan said.

Tension escalated in Lebanon after reports said that the STL will soon issue its indictment into the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri. last July, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said that the tribunal is “an Israeli project” that will indict Hezbollah members.

Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Lebanon Ali Awadh Assiri said yesterday that “the international tribunal is an internal Lebanese affair,” and has reportedly stressed during a meeting with a Hezbollah delegation on Wednesday that the Lebanese through dialogue and understanding, should produce a Lebanese plan to deal with the repercussions of the STL indictment.

    I propose that we hold an annual award ceremony for politicians in Lebanon, much like the Oscars. The award categories need to be carefully selected to identify the true achievers in government. Most Frequent Flier Miles for example, with Sheikh Saad being the sole nominee. Best performance by a mad man goes to Aoun, and the Baek takes home the Best U-Turn award.

    Hussein Hajj Hassan could be nominated for several awards, including:

    – Best name / biggest douche
    – Best “I just took a strong sniff of sh!t” look
    – Most likely to say something completely obvious and add no value

    What other awards do you guys and gals think we should gift our fearless leaders?

    At the end of the day, we owe these guys so much for turning our land of paradise into the biggest clusterf**k on earth. They deserve to be recognized by the very same people they use, abuse and forget about.

    Why everyone ,maybe you Iranian party and Syrian because you know exactly who did it !!!! most of Lebanese think it is you anyway , over 70 % ,regardless of the international court, do you have any other proof ? why don’t you follow the French advise regardless how silly it is, so relax Mr .Hussein and chill out with a beer ( or with juice as you don’t drink for sure) and take the court decision like a man!! since you possess the arms ,if the court accuse you go ahead this time and don’t invade the airport only,.invade Lebanon, La hay court and liberate Jerusalem and all who think it is you , since you are so powerful why are you afraid? do you care about your image as if it was the best image in the world , did you care about you image when you camped downtown and paralyzed the country and the economy ( you didn’t care because your money comes from your sponsors anyway ) did you care about your image with your gangs in the streets in May 7.
