President Michel Suleiman has launched a series of contacts and talks in order to arrange meetings with U.S. President Barack Obama and French President Nicolas Sarkozy in New York, reported the Saudi newspaper al-Watan Saturday.

The talks will focus on developments in Lebanon, especially pressuring Israel to halt its assaults against Lebanon, added the paper.

As I have read some Arabic news Israel has moved heavy military equipments from the south to The north in preparation for war. And it seems Iran embassy in syria has prepared discretly private lodging for hezballah leaders in case of war on Lebanon. It sound the situation at high alert.

Lets see if the US still have the power on Israel to hold them back. Go Suleiman Go.

  2. thats wierd you say that jean cos when i talk to my family in lebanon they say all is well.

i will call them and ask again cos i’m coming to lebanon in 2 weeks for a month.

inshallah khayr. israel is doing anything to keep baiting HA to a war like a sore loser israel is.

it doesnt want unity and it doesnt the STL to find out that the israeli spies were all plotting hariri’s death inshallah.

i’ve seen many you tube documentaries that show cheney and the mossad as responsible.

this der spiegel magazine as i agree with george haddad, how did it come up with the evidence without even coming to lebanon. thats baloney.

long live president suleiman as i’m very proud of this move which will keep lebanon in the forefront of being a peace player.

Again you get Un-neccassary thumbs down for a totally neutral point of view. People what are you rating with this thumps up/down stuff, grow up and rate comments rationally and not with biasedly.

      1. Anti-zio Avatar

all this rating stuff is really ticking me off i need some red bull or a huge ghallayi of coffee 🙂

      2. thats why anti-zion i have voiced my concern to sami @ ya libnan but one voice isnt strong enough. the more people that complain about it. it really does defeat the purpose of free speech. if you dont want people to read your POV if you’re pro-israel you minus them and the same applies with pro-HA or whatever.

i personally dont like it and at the time sami said it was experimental.

just to be a hypocrite i do like it when it serves my purpose to shut pro-israelis only that i give them minuses and i shut their posts as well.

instead of a huge ghallayi of coffee my friend you might need a huge bong hit lol 🙂 cos coffee enrages you and a bong hit will surely hit the spot.

      3. fyi ay zee for the people i like like you and cathy etc when i see minuses i plus them and bring the ratings up so it doesnt disappear. if you havent plussed mine do it like i just plussed yours from minus 2 to minus 1

Iran is on the verge of generating nuclear power. The latest article on debka.com notes that american admin officials (namely John Bolton)have recently stated that ‘israel’ has days not months to knock out iranian nuclear reactors.

The russians have also moved s-300 batteries into Abkhazia in order to block that aerial route.

It looks like their is a plan to attack the iranian reactor/s soon and thus the reason the idf has mobilised the army?

The next 7 days will be tense on all sides.

    God protect the innocent.

    1. youssef thank you for the info as i copied and pasted your sentence “the russians also moved….” into my web browser and read an interesting article on that.

its obvious to me what is happening now with the tree incident and the issiles lobbed at our waters.

israel wanted to definitely bait HA into a war so that they could distract the fighters in lebanon with israel’s might as israel and the US try to get to iran’s nuclear sites.

i do believe that this will all end in a stalemate and i absolutely hail russia for placing the s-300 batteries cos its all about fairness.

i dont like the iranian regime but i do want iran to have a nuke. i also know tht they will never use it but it will become a definite bargain chip for a free nuclear middle east.

the only countries to ever use nukes are the US and israel with their low uranium bombs.

thank you very much youssef for the info as i will still come to lebanon in 3 weeks.

war or not, being near my family is better than being here alone.

long live lebanon and our people.

      1. Israeli want to destroy Lebanon economy and their tourisim industry. They simply want all of it to themselves. The Lebanese should play it smart and don’t fall in the trap and only united Lebanese people can conquer those Ba$tards

      Dear Tony

I love your optimism and modesty and I wish from the bottom of my heart to believe every word you say but after doing the math there’s nothing can encourage us to sit still and enjoy the sun.

It’s the same for me as well, everytime I talk to my parents in lebanon for them everything is fine just bla bla bla…. Is it because they are used to this for so many years? Which I guess so. I respect the Iranian to develop their nukes etc but not under khomainy regime which we cant trust no one. This is my simple and personal opinion.

      Peace and long live Lebanon

  9. Dear Jean,

i just spoke to my dad @951AM Sunday August 15 and he started laughing when i mentioned the russian anti-missile in iran as he stated these war games have been going on for 50 years.

i mentioned the resistance with their threats he said to me like i’ve been saying these are nothing as this is all gonna lead to a peace accord eventually.

i sasi to him peace or no peace our tickets are already bought so we will be there in 3 weeks.

ya3ni who else should we listen to, pessimistic expatriates who cling onto the past or actual lebanese living in lebanon and they are the reason lebanon is still alive?

i always post hope and love and i seem to get minuses for my posts most of the time. do i care? not at all because i honestly listen to what the leaders are saying and not tarie, adam, ali, or any of the sheep that love to show how smart they are by reciting historical facts that happened 30 years ago.

ya3ni saraa7atan it gets very boring when i have to keep hearing about the journalist who got his hand cut off and toueini. the journalist was at least 20 years ago and was toueini that important that we fight for him?

i leave politics to the politicians and i will go and enjoy my maza and beer.

wnjoy your day ya jean and dont stress too much about these pessimistic posters who most of them are never going back to lebanon anyway. so why even listen to them.

    Thanks Tony well appreciated

Enjoy Lebanon and inshallah we will find peace.

    Cheers

  11. jean we will. think about it. as much as we hate syria, do yo uthink jumblatt, hariri and others who hae said let’s forget the past and open embassies with each other was not thought out? people say jumblatt’s family is threatened so he signed the peace deal.

do they have proof? is there any evidence? lebanon is very famous with 2iltilli oo 2iltilloo philosophy. its famous for rumors.

i honestly dont care why they did it but if it brings peace to lebanon what else do i need from these politicians who the lebanese are forced to vote for.

if jumblatt and hariri want to forgive the syrians for the killigs, who am i to question that. they’re not my parents and i’m sure hariri can see some errors in his father’s tenure that lead to his sad demise. who knows as i’m only speculating.

peace is just around the corner whether we like it or not and if a war happens in between what can we do?

lebanon is here to stay with or without war and with or without hizbollah.

    god bless lebanon.
