MP Bahia Hariri condemned the attacks on several homes in the southern village of Majdelyoun and called for preserving coexistence, National News Agency (NNA) reported on Thursday.
Members of the Al-Zein and Merhi families have reportedly clashed in the village, attacking homes and shops.
NNA added that Hariri sent representatives to the area to calm down the situation and called several security officials to follow up on the issue and ensure that the perpetrators are arrested.
Free Lebanon Radio that the attackers broke into a number of houses in the Christian neighborhood, sabotaged a supermarket, and assaulted a woman and a child.
