Lebanese President Michel Suleiman arrived in Beirut on Sunday after concluding his official two-day visit to Saudi Arabia, where he met with Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdel Aziz and several key officials.
During a meeting with the Lebanese expatriate community Saturday night at the Lebanese Embassy in Riyadh, Suleiman praised Saudi Arabia, saying it “plays an important role in supporting his country’s politics, economy, investments and tourism”, Future News reported on Sunday.
Suleiman also touched on the Israeli threats against Lebanon, calling on Lebanon to stand united against Israeli attempts to divide the country’s citizens.
“In order to avoid division and face these threats, the national dialogue was formed to reach a national defense strategy,” said Suleiman.
