Jumblatt warns against Al-Qaeda, calls for more Arab reconciliation

Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt warned in his weekly column in the al Anbaa against Al-Qaeda, which he described as an old-new danger since it continues to exist despite the Arab reconciliations. Jumblatt also wrote that it is necessary for the Arab reconciliations to continue to include the Palestinians since any delay in the national Palestinian reconciliation will negatively reflect on the ability of the Arabs in confronting Israel.

Jumblatt praised saudi Arabia’s role in Arab reconciliations and voiced hope that Hamas chief Khaled Meshaal’s visit to Riyadh would lead to the end of the deep Palestinian division, which, according to Jumblatt, requires a radical solution.
