Speculation continues regarding PSP leader MP Walid Jumblatt’s visit to Syria and the Syrian conditions that have been imposed on him before hosting him . Al Diyar newspaper claimed on Sunday that Jumblatt has decided to have an interview with Al Jazeera during which he will personally apologize to Syrian president Bashar Al Assad and will admit that he was wrong when he attacked him during the past years ,following the assassination of Lebanon’s former PM Rafik Hariri in 2005
Despite the speculation that has been going on , many observers are of the opinion that Jumblatt is too proud to allow himself to be humiliated to such a degree. Furthermore the observers Ya Libnan spoke with believe that Jumblatt has already paid his dues to Syria when he decided to pull out of March 14
