Iran VP invites Lebanon PM to Tehran

Iranian Vice President Mohammad Riza Rahimi sent a cable to Prime Minister Saad Hariri to congratulate him for the formation of the national-unity cabinet and to invite him to the Islamic Republic “for friendly talks.”

Rahimi stated in the cable that the Lebanese undoubtedly deserve security, stability, progress and development after they achieved “wonderful” victories in confronting the “Zionist attacks and plots targeting the country’s stability.”

Hezbollah which is backed financially and militarily by Iran has joined the government of PM Hariri . Last night the government won the vote of confidence of the parliament after 3 dates of debate
