Residents of several Akkar villages in north Lebanon blocked the main road in the area and burned tires to protest the “constant” power blackouts .

Protesters threatened to temporarily block the road if Electricite’ du Liban, the only power utility company Lebanon, does not supply power to over 25 towns and villages that have been suffering from a blackout for the past three days.

The Lebanese army and the Internal Security Forces (ISF) worked on unblocking the road after the Civil Defense extinguished fires caused by burning tires.
