The explosion during Tuesday night in Sultan Yaqoub, a Bekaa Valley town near the Lebanese -Syrian borders which houses the headquarters and the military base of Ahmed Jibril’s PFLP-GC remains a mystery specially since the Lebanese authorities are unable to carry out the necessary investigations.
According to army sources the reason for being unable to carry out the necessary investigations is because PFLP-GC has direct link with Syria and” therefore the army has no control over arms transfer into the area.”
Ahmed Jibril is the founder and leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine – General Command (PFLP-GC). Jibril is a former Syrian army captain.
