Saudi prince detained after 2 tons of drugs found on private jet

saudi prince caught smuggling drugs from BeirutA member of the Saudi royal family and four others were detained after authorities discovered two tons of drugs on a private jet in Beirut on Monday, according to Lebanon’s state-run news agency and a government official.

The National News Agency said smugglers were attempting to transport the “huge quantity” of Captagon pills — 40 bags worth — to the Saudi capital of Riyadh.

Monday’s bust was the largest-ever smuggling operation uncovered at Beirut’s Rafik Hariri International Airport, according to the news agency.

It said the five Saudi nationals held were being questioned.

Col. Joseph Musalem, a spokesman for Lebanon’s ministry of the interior, said that a member of the Saudi royal family was among those detained. Musalem added that investigators were working to determine whether or not he was involved in the alleged smuggling.

Saudi Arabia’s ministry of foreign affairs did not immediately respond to NBC News’ request for comment.

Captagon was originally the trade name for a pharmaceutical preparation containing fenetylline — a synthetic stimulant, according to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. The U.N. agency said that most Captagon tablets seized in recent years essentially contained amphetamine.

            I just can’t understand why a Saudi prince needs the money and would resort to drug dealing. There must be other reasons behind his involvement. I’m not saying Saudi princes are do gooders but he already has money.

            The saudi prince don’t need money they have plenty of cash,but what he needs is the drug(ceptagon 90% of it is produced in Lebanon (most of it Bekaa Valley and the rest in Dahieh) by the hezziehs .He got busted with 2 tons imagine!!! it is not for personnal use, oh no no, a big load of millions of small pills!!!!!! But I will tell you why? They give it to their merceneries and brainwashed figthers in syria, yemen, even in lebanon …..And in Lebanon hezziehs legalize it by the grace of Sheickh Yazbek their puppet with a fatwa, so they use it to control their fellowers and Hezziehs fighters who are sent to syria , Irak…. same reasons as the saudis. Just watch videos of executions on both side in the syrian war and you will understand how strategic this poison is in their dirty war. They become beasts with no feelings, emotions or humanity…They rape, kill, destroy with cold blood….

            Anyway its a good bust for the Lebanese state and the security appartel on the airport , but they should continue till the end and bust the producers who are well know and some of them were hezziehs ministers in the lebanese goverment like the brother of Moussawi…..Go back in the archives…..you’ll see!!!             As far as the 90%, your link does more or less confirm it was predominantly produced in the bekka. But yes you are also correct that it says most of it has moved to Syria.

The articles I posted seem to disagree with your statistics. It sounds like most of it is produced in Syria now and then smuggled through Lebanon.

            Well over a year ago there was an article about how drugs are moved … South America, Mexico, West coast of Africa, through the north and around the Med … from base suppliers to producers to sellers to users …. it IS ‘Big Business’ for subversive groups and billions are involved.             I suppose the ‘Fatwas’ (described as such) are ‘Unique’ to a ‘Brand’.
            So if the quote is wrongly ascribed, there should at least be record of it’s refutation either in another article, or in a court claiming something …maybe even ‘slander’. At the very least, a clear message that that was not what he meant – and it was transcribed wrong.
            In the ‘Halls Of Muslims’ everywhere, the man should have been castigated while he was alive – because what it says is that it is OK to turn all other people into junkies, unless they are of his own particular ‘brand’.
            It is quite possible that you can’t find it, of course, because that page in the ‘Fatwa Tombs’ WAS ripped out by ‘secret courts’ which never publish their ‘findings’ in any cases – let alone allow a person to stand and speak for themselves.
            And the problem now for those seeking ‘truth’, would be, that something once written (as we do in here) is copied and distributed immediately … while the reversal of ‘sensational’ statements which are hard enough to find in newspapers most of the time, can never be found until ‘court proceedings’ are read several generations later by Archeologists.
