Keeping Up with the Kardashians has inspired three Lebanese sisters so much so that the trio are coming up with their own reality show, which will chronicle their domestic lives together, just like the American series.
Just like “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” television cameras will follow the Abdel Aziz sisters and document their every move for the reality show. The sisters say their show will shed a better light on Lebanon.
“We want to show (the world) that Lebanon is not just a country struggling with issues but Beirut is and will always be the Paris of the Middle East,” they added.
“Our aim is to connect fashion around the world and to show the whole world how Lebanese women are smart, stylish and beautiful,” the sisters said in a statement.
LBC, a Lebanese television channel will launch the Kardashians-like show, to be titled The Sisters, which will follow the lives of Nadine, Alica and Farah of the Abdel Aziz family.
The sisters have been highly inspired by the Kardashians and will be living in front of camera persons who will film their daily lives. The trio are ardent fans of Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, and they rose to fame with their blog named ‘Styleinbeirut’, which was started in 2013.
The fashion page on their blog is one of the most popular pages in Beirut. The Abdel Aziz sisters have more than 100,000 followers and this prompted the national television channel to produce a show similar to Keeping up With the Kardashians.
The trio posted a video on their official Instagram account, which said: “Soon on LBC sat watch these gorgeous ladies and their daily life.”
The Sisters will air soon on Lebanese television channel LBC, however the network has not yet finalised the date of release of the show.
It will be interesting to see how Lebanese people react to a reality show parallel to that of the controversial US reality TV show.
