George Clooney reportedly wants to get plastic surgery in order to not look like a deathly old man while out and about with his much younger wife, Amal Alamuddin.

According to the January 19th edition of OK! Magazine , the 53-year-old actor, who wed the 36-year-old civil rights lawyer in September, “fears he looks so old next to his new bride Amal that he wants to iron out some of his wrinkles.”

“He’s told friends that he is considering getting Botox and some face fillers,” sources told OK!. “He’s even contemplating coloring his signature salt-and-pepper hair to make it a little less gray. Secretly, he’s not all confidence he is willing to do whatever it takes to turn back the clock… at least for a while.”

A plastic surgerized face may also prove a valuable asset if Clooney, a staunch Democrat, makes a bid for California governorship, which he likely will, according to reports.

“Democrats are looking for the perfect successor to [current governor Jerry Brown], and George is interested,” a source previously Life & Style. “They are thrilled George is going to be married, because they think a married George will be taken a whole lot more seriously than perpetual-bachelor George.”

Marrying Alamuddin may indeed prove to be Clooney’s golden ticket into office.

“Now that he has Amal by his side it will give him more credibility to run for office,” another source told the Mirror. “He has big ambitions and aims to get into politics imminently.”

First on Clooney’s political to-do list is “to join the Democrats’ 2016 election campaign,” said the source. The “Gravity” star apparently also wants to “wants to do more humanitarian work.”

OK! magazine also falsely claimed earlier that his wife Amal was pregnant six months ago.

A rep for Clooney says there’s no truth to the Botox/plastic surgery report.
