March 14 / PSP alliance wins Beirut Bar Association’s by-election

March 14  and Progressive Socialist  Party  ( PSP) coalition candidates won three out of four vacant seats at the Beirut Bar Association’s by-elections on  Sunday.

Nada Talhouk, ,  Jack Abu Abdullah  and Charles Abi Saab from March 14 /PSP , and Fadi Haddad from March 8 won seats as syndicate members.

Talhouk  who represented PSP won the largest number of votes  1830   , Jack Abu Abdullah ( 1614)Charles Abi Saab ( 1609 )  and Fadi Haddad 1458  votes

The term of  board membership is   three years.

According to media reports March 14 /PSP alliance left one seat vacant  in their electoral list and this is why Fadi Haddad   , who represents FPM was elected

Lebanon’s Information Minister Ramzi Joreige hailed the “democratic” process of the election, and praised the body for respecting legal deadlines and allowing the vote to take place without an extension, unlike the Lebanese parliament which doubled its term through  2 extensions
