Two Lebanese citizens went missing in Syria

Two Lebanese citizens and their Syrian friend went missing in Syria after heading there a week ago, AFP reported on Monday.

AFP identified the missing Lebanese men as Maher Derbas and Khaled Saleh and the Syrian as Mujhid Dandashi.

Derbas’ brother, Maali Derbas, who lives in Lebanon, said that the three men went through an illegal border crossing between Lebanon and Syria.

“We received news that the three men were shot down in Tal Kalakh, but we have not confirmed it yet. The families of the missing [men] call on President [Michel Suleiman] and Prime Minister [Najib Mikati] to intervene and reveal their sons’ fate.” He said
