Syrian security forces kill 5 protesters in Homs

Syrian tanks deployed in the country’s third-largest city Homs and security forces fired on the pro-democracy demonstrations and killed five , witnesses said.

Syrian revolution 2011 the Facebook group which has emerged as the organizing force behind the demonstrations reported that the army tried to defend the protesters and clashed with the security forces near Dureib clinic

Al Jazeera reported that Three tanks were also seen near the Barzeh district of Damascus, where activists had called for protests.

Al-Arabiya reported that the Syrian intelligence detained in Damascus opposition leader Riad Seif.
