Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at Al-Safa Palace in Makkah former Prime Minister Saad Al-Hariri and several heads of state including President Mohammad Ashraf Gani, the President of Afghanistan and President Ali Bongo Ondimba, the President of the Republic of Gabon.
He also received the Defense Minister of Djibouti Ali Hassan Bahdon, Chairman of the Tunisian Renaissance Movement Sheikh Rashid Al-Ghannoushi and OPEC Secretary General Mohammed Barking and several princes and key officials.
They attended Iftar banquet at the Al-Safa Palace
Hariri had left Beirut aboard his private jet Saturday afternoon.
“King Salman’s hosting of former PM Hariri alongside heads of states reflects the Saudi leadership’s approach towards Hariri’s role and his political position and reflects the appreciation that the kingdom has for Hariri,” sources close to al-Mustaqbal were reported as saying
