Qatar says it gives aid to Egypt, not Muslim Brotherhood

Khaled al-Attiya, Qatar FMQatar’s foreign minister said Sunday his country had never given aid to Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood and that all assistance went to Egypt as a whole.

“As far as Qatar’s support for the Muslim Brotherhood, there are some wrong impressions about the aid Qatar is providing,” said Foreign Minister Khaled al-Attiya, whose country is perceived as a backer of the embattled Islamist group.

“Qatar has never given aid to an Egyptian group or an Egyptian political party. The aid has always been provided to Egypt,” he told journalists after meeting French counterpart Laurent Fabius.

“Qatari aid began immediately after the revolution and continues today,” he added, referring to the Arab Spring uprising that overthrew long-time Egyptian ruler Hosni Mubarak in 2011.

“We do not give aid to any political party.”

Qatar on Wednesday forcefully condemned the crackdown by Egyptian security forces on supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood and Egypt’s ousted Islamist president Mohamed Morsi.

More than 750 people were killed in four days after the military and police launched a blistering crackdown on Islamist protest camps, sparking international condemnation.

Since the Egyptian army ousted Morsi last month amid massive protests against his rule, Qatar has repeatedly voiced solidarity with the Islamist leader’s camp.

It is so strange how Saudi Arabia and all the Gulf states are with the Egyptian Army against the Muslim Brotherhood, while they financed these and they helped them get to power ?! Yet they are against Bashar and with the Salafists in Syria ?! Maybe because Bashar is Alawite and has allied himself to Iran and HA. Which leads me to believe that these Gulf countries are exercising sectarianism at its best: Sunni vs. Shiaa.

There were two heads spearheading the Arab spring, both are deeply involved in Syria against bashar.
      One was Turkey-Qatar-MB-Qaeda linked groups
The other is Gulf states – Egypt’s army and secular political class – Secular forces in ME – and… Israel
SA did not finance jihadis, it was mostly Qatar who supplied al-nusra and the emir’s head rolled for it. Since then, the cash flow from Qatar was cut, Turkey has no voice anymore, Egypt’s MB fell, Tunisia, Syria.. Qatar’s new government realigned with the Gulf States as you hear voices on Al-Jazeera praising the Egyptian army. The FSA, strong in the south and well equipped by SA+Gulf is marching on Damascus. The MB + Jihadis strong in the North and East are cutting the retreat to the sea.
Bashar will end up in the berdawneh

And perhaps the reason 20,000 treked into Iraq in the last few days … besides the hunger. But it is the hunger that makes it seem like Ethiopia ….
