Authorities in Mexico’s western Jalisco state say the recently appointed state tourism minister has been assassinated.
State officials say Jose de Jesus Gallegos Alvarez was shot Saturday while driving in Zapopan outside Guadalajara, which is Mexico’s second-largest city.
