Lebanon media reported last December 26 that Shaar headed home on a private jet after treatment in Beirut at the American University Hospital .

The FSA sources told Okaz that the government media reported that Ghazali was appointed as the Interior minister without disclosing the whereabouts of Shaar.

The source told Okaz that Shaar was brought back to Syria in a coffin and was buried quietly in Damascus . His family has reportedly emigrated to Russia

According to the Syrian Revolution General Commission, Free Syrian Army rebels targeted a “gathering of security forces and shabiha (militiamen) in the Ghazali complex before noon.”

Rustom Ghazali’s nephew was killed, while his brother was wounded and another nephew was kidnapped, it said.“The siblings of Major General Ghazali and their children were the worst shabiha for the people of the town of Qarfa and the province as a whole,” the activist network quoted residents as saying.

    Syrian TV Propaganda:

“An armed terrorist group attacked a number of people at a petrol station near the village of Qarfa, which led to the killing of one and the wounding of another,” Syria TV said, identifying the dead man as Hussam Ghazali. It said the victim’s father Fayez was wounded, and Jalal Ghazali was abducted.

Ghazali was the head of military intelligence in Lebanon from 2002 to 2005, when Syrian troops withdrew from its tiny neighbor after occupying it for three decades. The name Rustom Ghazali sounds like a direct import of thugs from Persia.

Meanwhile Rustom Ghazaleh threatens to burn Khirbet if the rebel do not return his kidnapped son! So it seems his son also were taken away.

In September 2005, Rustom Ghazaleh was questioned on the Rafiq al-Hariri bombing by United Nations investigator Detlev Mehlis. In December 2005, former Syrian Vice President Abdul Halim Khaddam accused Ghazaleh of political corruption, dictatorial rule in Lebanon and of threatening al-Hariri prior to his death.
After the withdrawal from Lebanon little was heard of him. However, at the beginning of the protests in the city of Deraa, Ghazaleh was sent by Bashar al-Assad to assure locals of the president’s good intentions. He reportedly told them: “We have released the children” – a reference to several teenagers who were arrested for writing anti-regime graffiti inspired by the events in Egypt and Tunisia. In May 2011,

The EU said Ghazaleh was head of Military Intelligence in Damascus Countryside (Rif Dimashq) governorate, which borders Deraa governorate, and was involved in the repression of dissent in the region. He is considered part of Assad’s inner circle.

    Well its payback time Ghazaleh…..
