An Armenian plane was forced to land in Turkey for inspection.

The Turkish authorities searched the Armenian plane after forcing it to land in the eastern city of Erzurum on Monday, sources from Turkey’s state airports authority said, without giving further details.

This development comes after Turkish fighter planes forced a Syrian passenger plane to land at Ankara’s airport for investigation last Thursday. The Syrian plane, which was travelling from Moscow, was suspected of carrying weapons to Damascus.
