Mikati told Hariri that he is still committed to STL funding

An Nahar newspaper reported that PM Nagib Mikati sent former PM Saad Hariri a letter assuring him that right from the beginning he has been committed to the funding of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon and that he still maintains the same opinion and wanted to know Hariri’s opinion on on this matter .

Mikati stressed to Hariri that “nothing else is acceptable to him”

The daily also reported that Mikati contacted Syrian president Bashar al Al Assad through his brother Taha Mikati for his opinion on this matter and Assad’s response was ” too busy with the situation in Syria and wants to leave the decision up to Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah”

There is a term ‘mealy mouthed’, I wonder if it applies in this case??  Another term ‘action speaks louder than words’ actually might be appropriate in the case of Mr. Mikati, eh??  And then as far as being PM, the old adage, ‘sxxt, or get off the pot’, might apply to this very situation!  A nice glass of strong jallab(and I DO mean strong) might help him “move” things along.

The minute ministers and rulers no longer take input from their people and take instead external guidance, they are, by definition, thugs.
