Aoun: Mikati has no right to commit to STL funding

Following his bloc’s weekly meeting Change and Reform bloc leader MP Michel Aoun on Tuesday told reporters that Prime Minister Najib Mikati “does not have the right to commit his government to funding the UN-backed Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL).

“I am not ready to pay illegitimate and unconstitutional funds [to the STL and let those who want to commit to it pay out from their own pockets,” he said

Aoun also called for quickly finalizing the administrative appointments, adding that his bloc will “oppose appointing any incompetent people.”

“This matter can no longer be delayed and I think that we have the biggest role in appointing people on the basis of skills and ethics.”

Commenting on the Syrian crisis, he said that the situation has “calmed down,” adding that “those who want to change the status in Syria will not be able to.”

“We have told you that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad will not be ousted and that reforms will be implemented.”

          Actually Libnan1 (dear 😉 I expected by now – with tanks and soldiers invading Lebanon – you might have held off a bit.

          5th, I and every Aouni condemn the Syrian attack on Lebanon. We fought them when they were occupying Lebanon and will fight them again if the Syrians try to occupy us again. Please never interpret my comments in favor of Syria interfering in Lebanon’s affairs. I’m against all foreign interference.

        I think you are missing chromosome 18 ….

          Hey man, you don’t want to get into an argument with me about chromosomes cause I’ve said before I’m a PhD in cancer biology and studied cancer genetics. I think you confused chromosomes 18 and 21. First of all, you don’t have a missing chromosome 18 cause the other chromosome 18 is a ring (with top and bottom fused together) that is still there (not missing) but does not function. But the disease I think you meant is Trisomy 21 which is an extra chromosome 21 which leads to mental retardation, that you probably do have yourself!!.

          @Mazen_M:disqus Thanks for the correction, I meant missing piece of chromosome 18 from the long arm. Anyway, missing chromosome 21may fit better. I’m glad you diagnosed yourself…..:)

          No, not missing chromosome 21!!  I said an extra chromosome 21. Like the one I’m now sure you and Aoun have:) Plus there can be a missing piece from the short arm too (18p, not just 18q like you mentioned). There are also translocations btw 18 and 4 that causes problems but I don’t want to go into details cause it’s too complicated for you:)

          By the way, you didn’t answer me about how I’m associated with groups that worked to destroy Lebanon. Waiting for that…

      I think this one line explains alot about your ‘admiration’ for Aoun…if this doesn’t border on gayness, i dont know what does. (not that there is anything wrong with that, it would just explain your bizare fetish for Aoun)

        That is soooo Funny Fadi:) Actually, a couple of weeks ago he called me a “Faggot” and he is the one writing poems to a man:) And Aoun doesn’t even know about these poems!!. 3anjad what do you think or call a person that worships and writes poems about somebody in which he is “speaking” to that person by telling him to “Go get them” and stuff like that, and that person (Aoun) doesn’t even know about them!!. I think this might be bordering on Psychotic:)

          hehehe 🙂 Man I’ll tell you Mazen, after reading and listening to some of these Aounist… it makes me want to go visit my mother and give her a BIG hug and kiss, I was lucky enough to be handed down some brains and the ability to decipher right from wrong…It seems allot of Lebanese parents failed to hand down such things to their children, its actually very sad and a wide spread problem…
