No UN response on demarcation of Lebanon maritime borders, Mansour

Share:

Minister of Foreign Affairs Adnan Mansour told Hezbollah’s Al-Manar TV on Saturday that Lebanon requested help from the UN to demarcate its maritime borders with Israel.

However, he added that the UN has yet to respond to the request.

Mansour also said that UNIFIL was contacted about the matter, adding that the latter said it had no jurisdiction to carry out such a task.

The Lebanese Parliament in August 2010 passed an oil exploration bill, which calls for the establishment of a committee to oversee exploration and drilling off Lebanon.

UN will always be spineless as long as super powers have a veto power.

Yah … and Russia likes being a supplier of oil/gas. But do you really want to ruin the beaches?? There’s enough crap flowing out of pipes in Gaza already … not counting the dead cows floating in from time to time.

  5. It’s all about 1-15Km, instead of waisting time, just talk to Israel and split in the middle, any way the gas and oil is all over the place. don’t give HA another reason to open a war with Israel. i have a feeling this time it will end even worse for us.
