Syria fires on 7 injured refugees to prevent them from entering Lebanon

MTV reported on Friday that seven injured Syrians arrived from Homs into the Lebanese border village Wadi Khaled. The report added the Syrian security forces opened fire at the injured refugees to prevent them from entering Lebanon.

MTV also reported that the injured were handed over to Lebanese Red Cross.

Al Jazeera also confirmed MTV report and said that Lebanese Red Cross took the injured Syrians to a nearby hospital in Akkar for treatment .

According to Human Rights groups there are over 8500 Syrian refugees in Lebanon.

Syrian security forces opened fire Friday as thousands of anti-government protesters took to Syria’s streets in a weekly ritual of defiance and demands for President Bashar Assad’s ouster, activists said. Syria-based human rights activist Mustafa Osso said at least fifteen people, including a child, were killed in Damascus and Homs .
