US Debating release of Bin Laden’s Corpse photos

The Obama administration has photographs of Osama bin Laden’s dead body and officials are debating what to do with them and whether they should be released to the public, officials tell ABC News.

An image purporting to show Osama bin Laden's bloody corpse, right, is a fake image …it is composite of two separate images, left and centre.

“There’s no doubt it’s him,” says a US official who has seen the pictures and also reminds us that OBL was 6’4”.

The argument for releasing them: to ensure that the public knows and can appreciate that he’s dead. There is of course skepticism throughout the world that the US government claim that it killed bin Laden is true.

The argument against releasing the pictures: they’re gruesome. He has a massive head wound above his left eye where he took bullet, with brains and blood visible.

In July 2003, the US government released photographs of Saddam Hussein’s dead sons Uday and Qusay Hussain but not until after they’d been touched up by a mortician, making them look not quite real.

    Even if they release them the Arab world won’t beleive it , they live thru / for conspiracy

    Anybody can make shit up, photoshop, fake bodies etc… OBL was dead long time ago from kidney failure. Buried at sea, how convenient… BO took that story twisted it to his advantage as his popularity is faltering since the economy is crap despite what you hear in the news (just look at the Gasoline prices at the pumps and another wave of mortgage failures…) and used it to take the eyes of the American people off of the real problems. Wall St. was expecting a rally. It did not happen. The only rallies were the few idiots who danced in the street falling for the trap. I feel sorry for the victims and their relatives but despite all of this in my opinion justice was not served. Justice will be served when we defeat extremism everywhere, including all religious extremism, starting with Iran, ending with the Christian fundamentalism in our midwest. Next time around I’m voting Republican EVEN if the candidate is a donkey.

      I totally agree with all you except for your last statement. How on earth do you think we’ll eliminate all extremism under a republican ruler? That ruler will only give more power and more benefits to the Christian fundamentalists in the midwest. Second of all, sure they might get rid of alot of those organizes, but they’ll cause more death and chaos in the Middle East, Lebanon included. I’m not saying the Dems aren’t causing any problems, but they’re damage control compared to the crap that the Republicans will do. Be careful what you wish for. Mitt Romney, the man who said he wants to civilize the Middle East with America’s ideals, McCain, the main who said he’s stay in Iraq for 100 years if he had to, and even Donald Trump who is probably the most bigoted and racist man I’ve seen run for president in a while? Be careful what you wish for

There is plenty for all of us to get along but a minority of people love to hoard and that is against my principles. If someone challenges BO for the democratic seat (unlikely) I would vote for him/her but for now I am totally against the reelection of BO because he is ruining the economy worldwide.
