Hamas condemns US killing of bin Laden

The leader of the Palestinian militant Hamas government in Gaza has condemned the United States for killing al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden.

Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh says the operation is “the continuation of the American oppression and shedding of blood of Muslims and Arabs.”

Haniyeh told reporters in Gaza on Monday that although Hamas had its differences with al-Qaida, his group condemns the assassination of “a Muslim and Arabic warrior” and prays that bin Laden’s “soul rests in peace.”

Hamas has repeatedly said it has no ties to al-Qaida and that its violent struggle is directed solely against Israel, and not the West at large. AP

    most nations on earth are relieved that bin laden was taken out and mr.hamas himself is condemning his killing!!!

    to issue such a foolish and rash statement mr. hamieh must have lost it completely and forgotten the time when the israelis were pounding his gaza strip upside down and the only two things that saved him and the poor palestinians caught under his authority from annihilation were the whole wide world sympathy for their plight and the un pressure exerted on the israelis to stop the onslaught and withdraw from gaza.

    nice going mr. hamieh. keep issuing such statements. no wonder why the palestinian cause is not going anywhere!!!

    Now you know why the people of Gaza are suffering. With leaders like Hamas’s Ismail Haniyeh coming out with statements in support of terrorists like Bin Laden, which they couldn’t be more wrong. Then again, it is one terrorist supporting another terrorist. I feel for the people of Gaza, when they are forced led by the likes like him.

    R u effing kidding me,First of all this asshole bin laden whoever is behind him has set muslims

    back 100 years,and Hamas to have the Iranians and HA supporting your cause and fighting for your peoples

    cause and stand with you when the world is against you,to come out in the defense of this animal makes me wonder

    if its time for them to cut off that support and start wondering if you are one of them, im soooooo fricken disgusted

    by reading this,Hamas leadership fucked up with this statement,and now I will have to say there is no difference between

    Hamas and Alqaeda,just for the record HA would neverrr say this,but for some reason if they did,i will say it now, i will be

    But now we wait for the biggest speech of all from under ground in Lebanon we all know who that is, can’t wait from that monkey. This is RADICAL EVERYTHING.
    Isreal has called to sit on the table and talk for so long and will continue to build as long as this does not happen,but when this group say death to all Isreal and firing rockets at them, this group Hamas does not want peace.

    like bin laden,bin laden is the sworn enemy of the world,I really have lost all respect for Hamas

    with a statement like the one he made,even though i know this wont happen,but if HA ever made

    a comment like the one this guy made i would lose all respect for them ,even though it wont since

    after 9/11 HA was the first muslim group to condemn 9/11 and was removed off of the terror list

    for that condemnation till AIPAC took it to the supreme court and got them back on,and ofcourse

    after that condemnation bin laden declared war on HA,but im really shocked that the group that gets

    help from Iran and HA,and know those 2 could not stand this animal would take a side with him and
