Saudi Arabia opposed to the way Mikati was designated as PM

Sources told Lebanon’s MTV station : Saudi Arabia will adopt a new strategy in Lebanon based on a new “Saudi Syrian ” equation whose pillars will be Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea and outgoing PM Saad Hariri.

The Sources added: Saudi Arabia is still keen on its relation with Hariri and it does not approve the manner in which Nagib Mikati was designated as PM to form the new cabinet.

The Iranian- and Syrian-backed Hezbollah brought down PM Saad Hariri’s government on January 12 over the Special Tribunal for Lebanon’s imminent indictment which is widely expected to implicate Hezbollah members in the assassination of former PM Rafik Hariri in 2005

Mikati, who was backed by Hezbollah and its March 8 allies including MP Walid Jumblatt and Mohammad Safadi, was appointed on January 25 by president Michel Suleiman as PM-designate to form and head the next cabinet , giving Hezbollah and its allies increased leverage in the country and provoking widespread protest.

Mikati, Jumblatt, Safadi and their blocs were all elected on March 14 electoral lists during the 2009 parliamentary elections

    it was the same people who had been killing polititians in lebanon ,had killed rashid karame; and they accused geagea of the crime he never commited;
    rashid karame was about to reconcile with the christians and the other lebaneese at that time ; and that would have made iit harder for the conspiraters to invade lebanon, that is the reason they assasinated him it was the persian conspiracy against lebanon for over 30 years now, and the same killers behind the assassinations of lebanon beloved prime minister rafik harriri ;
