Oh Assad is doing kissy kissy with the Patriach of the Middle East lol.
Aoun was called that to pump him up and make him feel powerful. What a butt joke he’s becoming and now he’s also appointed the spokesman for the devils in Dahia. People go to church to repent and ask God for forgiveness but Aoun is always confrontational as if wants to take on the world. I think it would be good idea to put in the Ring with Mufti Juzzo and see who wins the fight lol.

Is this traitor for real!! He might as well stay there. This is the second consecutive year that he has gone to brad instead of celebrating it in his homeland. What a Schmuck.
Once again let me reiterate that this is the same guy who rejected the Taif accord in 1989 because it had syrian influence written all over it and now he is travelling in their private jet that was last serviced in 1969.

      2. How could he be Syrian if the middle east at the time was Byzantine / Roman? He dwelled in what we know today as modern Syria. Now North Syria could have been easily integrated within Turkey like Antioch and suburbs by colonial France, would you have said then that St. Maroon was Turkish?
On another note, are you SSNP? To them everyone is Syrian even Bruce Lee (whom they dubbed Obrosli) from Cyprus. Got it? lol

        3. France offered our patriarch to include the Syrian part north of Lebanon into the greater Lebanon instead of the south but he refused because there are many Orthodox reside in that part of Syria. He preferred the south to keep the Maronites the majority of Christians. If that happened back then Brad and Aleppo would be part of Lebanon and we wont have this conversation.
The borders are based on what we wanted not on what was imposed, so we need to deal with it as a arbitrary reality not as a conviction. We have many Palestinians and Jordanians at our church who are Maronites, they identify themselves per their nationality but they know their origin came from Lebanon with familiar Lebanese family names as Haddad, Khoury and on. They are actually more religious and church goers than the Lebanese.
How do you like that !!!!

What Aoun triggered in 1989 in Lebanon, nationalism, opposing corruption, rejecting sectarian divides and at the time, the occupations that used religious divides as an excuse… this movement he triggered now has a following all over the Arabic world. I think after 1989, it’s become our natural role to educate the Arabic world in having a sense of justice. And yes, this involves visiting those we are inspiring. I don’t support the Syrian dictator, but I support having ties to the Syrian population that Lebanon inspired.

    1. Martyr Saint? Are you referring to St. Maroun (مارون)? He died a natural death as a hermit. He was not martyred. He died 410 in Kefar-Nabo an Aramaic Syriac speaking town at the time. The area was under the eastern Roman empire at the time. Maronite monks found a fertile ground to spread the faith to Lebanon where the phoenician natives who spoke Aramaic and Greek as well worshipped Phoenician city state Gods and Goddesses (Anat, Adonis, Ishtar, Baal, Tanit etc…). In my town in the North a temple remnant bearing the name of Anat still stands and the town’s name translation is qart anat (I will leave it up to you smart people to find the modern name). Mass conversion was swift to the new religion and it spread further South into Palestine and East into Syria until those guys the Arabs came out of the damn peninsula and ruined it for all of us. LOL

  24. The fruit of the hard labor of Saint-Maron is all of those christian who died defending their faith against foreigners…Espacially in the Qadisha valley:

The Qadisha Valley’s many natural caves have been used as shelters and for burials back as far as the Palaeolithic period. The Aassi Hauqqa (cave) in particular, near Hawqa, Lebanon, has yielded archaeological items indicating Palaeolithic, Roman, and medieval periods of use.

Since the early centuries of Christianity the Holy Valley has served as a refuge for those in search of solitude. Historians believe that the Kadisha Valley has had monastic communities continuously since the earliest years of Christianity. It was also at times a destination for Muslim mystics, or Sufis, who also visited it for meditation and solitude.

Early Christian communities fleeing persecution found refuge in the Kadisha. Among these groups were the Jacobites (Syrian Orthodox), Melchites (Greek Orthodox), Nestorians, Armenians, and even Ethiopians. The Maronites, however, are the dominant Christian group in the valley. From the late 7th century, Maronites fled to the valley from their original areas of settlement in the Levante. At that time, they feared persecution from the Jacobites, who were non-Chalcedonian, and who persecuted Chalcedonian Maronites, and from Islamic attacks. Maronite settlement intensified in the 10th century following the destruction of the Monastery of St Maron. The Maronite monks established their new center at Qannubin, in the heart of the Qadisha, and monasteries quickly spread over the surrounding hills. Early Maronite settlement in the valley combined both community and eremitic life.

The Mameluk sultans Baibars and Qalaoun led campaigns in 1268 and 1283, respectively, against the fortress-caves, monasteries, and the surrounding villages. Despite these attacks, the Deir Qannubin monastery was to become the seat of the Maronite Patriarch in the 15th century and to remain so for 500 years. In the 17th century, the Maronite monks’ reputation for piety was such that many European poets, historians, geographers, politicians, and clergy visited and even settled in the Valley. The first printing press in the middle east was built in 1610 at the Monastery of Qozhaya in the Kadisha valley. It used Syriac characters. Also this printing press was the first to print in Arabic language.

Habibi may god bless our martyr saint I should have said in the valley of the saint!!!

LOL Rafic,Good tease, between heaven and hell.
His fate might be similar to that of PM of Israel, Ariel Sharon, where he got stuck in the throat of “angel of death”. He could not even swallow his nasty soul.lol

      1. So true… Nobody wants him.

Since we are on the topic of heaven and hell listen to this joke:

The Angel Gabriel came to the Lord and said “I have to talk to you. Those Lebanese up here in Heaven are causing problems. They’re swinging on the Pearly Gates, my Horn is missing, they are wearing Dolce & Gabanas
instead of their White Robes, their riding BMW’s and Mercedes instead of the Chariots and they’re selling their Halos to people for discount prices. They refuse to keep the Stairway to Heaven clear, since they keep crouching down midway eating Sunflower and Watermelon Seeds and even some of them are walking around with just one Wing!”

The Lord said, “Lebanese are Lebanese. Heaven is home to all my children. If you want to know about real problems, call the Devil.”

The Devil answered the phone, “Hello? Damn, hold on a minute.”

The Devil returned to the phone, “OK I’m back. What can I do for you?”

Gabriel replied, “I just wanted to know what kind of problems you’re having down there…

The Devil said, “Hold on again. I need to check on something.”

After about 5 minutes the Devil returned to the phone and said, “I’m back.
        Now what was the question?”

Gabriel said, “What kind of problems are you having down there?”

The Devil said, “Man I don’t believe this…….Hold on.”

This time the Devil was gone 15 minutes. The Devil returned and said,
“I’m sorry Gabriel, I can’t talk right now. Those damn Lebanese have put out the
Fire of Hell and are trying to install Air Conditioning!!!

      LOL Rafic,
His fate might be similar to that of PM of Israel, Ariel Sharon, where he got stuck in the throat of “angel of death”. He could not even swallow his nasty soul.lol

      1. So true… Nobody wants him.
Since we are on the topic listen to this joke:
The Angel Gabriel came to the Lord and said “I have to talk to you. We have
some Lebanese up here in Heaven that are causing problems. They’re swinging
on the Pearly Gates, my Horn is missing, they are wearing Dolce & Gabanas
instead of their White Robes, their riding BMW’s instead of the Chariots and
they’re selling their Halos to people for discount prices. They refuse to
keep the Stairway to Heaven clear, since they keep crouching down midway
eating Sunflower and Watermelon Seeds and smoking Arguileh [hubbley
bubbley]. Some of them are walking around with just one Wing!”

Gabriel replied, “I just wanted to know what kind of problems you’re having
        down there…

The Devil said, “Hold on again. I need to check on something.”

After about 5 minutes the Devil returned to the phone and said, “I’m back.
        Now what was the question?”

Gabriel said, “What kind of problems are you having down there?”

The Devil said, “Man I don’t believe this…….Hold on.”
