March 14 MP Fatfat, a key member of the Future Movement parliamentary bloc said Thursday the March 14 coalition will not surrender to “the logic of force.”
Fatfat told the Voice of Lebanon (VOL) that boycotting the national dialogue session is a message to President Michel Suleiman as well the Lebanese people.
The MP called on everyone to commit to state institutions and abide by the law.
According to local reports March 8 decided to boycott the dialogue talks after PM Saad Hariri postponed the cabinet session that was set to discuss the so called ‘false witnesses’ issue of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) .
The tribunal is investigating the 2005 assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri in Beirut. Lebanon is bracing for possible retaliations from Hezbollah should the STL single out the group for its alleged role in the plot.
