More than $4 million is missing at Al-Jammal bank branch in Jwaya near the southern port city of Tyre after the manager reportedly disappeared , al-Liwaa newspaper reported Thursday.
Al-Liwaa said among the stolen money :
– $350,000 cash from the bank
– $4 million from depositors and traders in the Tyre area
According to the daily , the manager who was identified only as J.D. lured merchants and bankers into depositing their money in the Jwayya branch when in actually fact he was depositing the funds in his own personal account.
