As Safir newspaper reported Tuesday that progressive Socialist party leader MP Walid Jumblatt is heading to Damascus today to meet several Syian officials including FM Walid Mouallem and Syrian Vice President Mohammad Nassif . According to as Safir he may be returning on Wednesday.
Last night Jumblatt visited his arch enemy, former president Emile Lahoud. According to observers the Jumblatt – Lahoud meeting was the last condition the Syrian president imposed on Jumblatt for normalizing the relations with the Syrian regime
