A clash occurred Friday evening in the town of Qana in southern Lebanon between a number of Syrian workers and youths of the town.
The clash occurred following the raping few days ago of a child by one of the Syrian workers in the village of Hanueh.
The use of sticks and sharp instruments in the clash led to the wounding of Syrian worker Aamer Ibrahim al Zaal, known as the “Turk”, who was then taken to the Lebanese-Italian hospital where he died.
Following the clash , the youth of Qana set on fire the house of Assad Haddad , in the Christian part of the town where the Syrian workers are living.
The army then intervened , cordoned off the area and arrested a number of suspects in the incident.
